PLAYERUNKNOWNS BATTLEGROUNDS Early Access Thread: This Is Battle Royale

Yeah I guess it would take away from the sense of communication. Thanks!
I'd like to at least have this option work for when you're jumping from the plane. Sometimes even in voice chat it can be easy to mix-up where you want everyone to go. Setting a marker in this scenario would be great imo.

I wish they'd add a command to mute voices and sound effects like an alt+m or something during the intro and plane section, then I can turn it all back on before I land.

My first win and most kills. Damn that was it intense at the end trying to figure out where everyone was. I went from completely frustrated from my last 2 games getting stomped to running around the house with my hands up.

One thing that needs fixing:

I usually play this after a few rounds of Rocket League and forget to turn my controller off. Ten minutes into the match when my controller goes to sleep a giant warning for me to turn it back on again is displayed on my screen, I can't close it with esc or anything, I have to turn my pad back on, press a button for the warning to go and occasionally move the stick to prevent it from sleeping again. I then have to quit the game, turn my controller off and launch it again.

Yeah if the controller DC it thinks theres no inputs left. Had the same issue as I left it in after Forza and it started jumping around on my desk :D

I made a bet with Tecnniqe, if he managed to get me a Chicken Dinner I would draw him a free avatar but if he couldn't he would have to pay me an actual Chicken Dinner.

This is a game I can only play with a squad.

It's way too spoopy going in alone, silence and danger behind every corner.

Oh wow, had my first top 5 finish. Had a great position in a field with plenty of cover and slowly crawling my way into each zone. One guy dropped to a player, I shot one behind some rocks and then another that I spotted moving in a ditch. With just the two of us left, we both moved into the zone, saw each other, fired, and sadly he got enough accurate shots to take #1. What an incredible match.

This game was meant to be played solo. So fucking intense. Just got my first top 3. Died because I had no cover options at the end.

Nah. If you really want to fight 24/7 just go to large cities within circle and you are set 4 times out of 5, but don't force fighting on us who like to lurk at outskirts and avoid unnecessary fights. If you waste your ammo and meds in mid-game brawling you are borderline fucked for end-game because circle becomes 10x more brutal and enemies are on top of each other.

Looking like it could possibly be a Kriss Vector.

Edit: OH god the image is huge :/
Edit 2: Thanks Kadin :]

The question will be... what caliber will they make it in? I'm not sure we need another 9mm SMG, and if it's .45ACP then wouldn't it be better than the Tommy Gun already found in supply drops?

Kriss Vector is traditionally .45 ACP, but can be a variety of pistol calibers. If they do make it .45 ACP, they should swap it with the Tommy Gun. Make TG random spawn and Vector supply drop only.

This game, Sacriel, and finally trying a mechanical keyboard my coworker changed to, have finally gotten me to update my keyboard and mouse situation

Bought these off amazon:

- Corsair Gaming M65 Pro RGB FPS Gaming Mouse, Backlit RGB LED, 12000 DPI, Optical

I've only played about 10 rounds, so I'm still pretty new to the game. In general, I like to parachute into a small group of buildings away from the hotspots, so I can get some gear in peace and try to last until at least the Top 20. Most of the time, I'm successful and can avoid other players initially. But last night, I happened to pick a group of buildings where another guy was dropping into. He went into one house, I picked a different one. He found a mini Uzi, I found a crowbar. I left my house to head into a different one, looking for a gun, and he spotted me, following me in. It was really close quarters, and I saw him coming, so I gave him 2 solid hits with the crowbar before he fired a single bullet, then got another hit on him before he gunned me down.

I was pretty disappointed by the game design/mechanics in this situation. I don't necessarily think I should have killed him with two hits from a crowbar, but it at least should have been a situation where the game made him dazed and confused, unable to see straight or something. It's just demoralizing to be outgunned, get the jump on your opponent, yet still lose. Standard guns should definitely win easily at long or medium distances, no doubt, but at short distances, shotguns and melee weapons should be king. And shotguns are, but melee weapons just seem completely useless. I mean, 3 hits from a crowbar can't down an enemy? Really? Maybe it was just early game lag that did me in, but I still found the situation pretty frustrating.

Agreed. IMO, all weapons should have their strengths you can take advantage of, given the right scenario, and most of them have for me thus far, except melee. It's the only thing I feel like I've done right multiple times, but failed anyway. It feels like they balanced the melee thinking half the server were going to be running around successfully punching the other half that have AKMs and M16s.

I like your dazed mechanic idea; that would be good for blunt weapons.

I imagine they'll tweak it as they look at balancing weapons, though. Unless it is just lag?

First time I had some truly amazing rounds today, matched with a friendly random and played couple of more games with that dude. In today's online gaming world that's super random for me.

I agree with just about everything you said. It would be great if a hit from a melee kinda knocked you off balance and made your view go a little blurry because as it is now I won't even pick them up in the very beginning like you did. I'd love to have a reason to though because items in the game like that should have some redeeming quality but so far they don't. But I feel they'll address it in due time so I'm not worried.

Just landed in a map and was loading a gun. Guy ran in the room next to me, runs out the door and is 10 feet away when I die from a headshot punch. WTF. Lag in this lately is pretty bad.
