Wasn't the PS4 shown on the e3 show that took place in June 2013? Before that was a tech talk from Marc. Seems ps5 is following the same pattern. But taking covid in consideration, I'd say they are on schedule.

Hate to say this.. but we know how this magazine is.. in fact the new issue with the DuelSense on cover is the same shit we knew about last month.. nothing new from Sony.. photo's.. interview's..etc, So I have a feeling next months issue will be about the games we already know about.. Godfall..etc

The latest snafu is saying PS5 would be unveiled on the PS blog on June 2nd and then feature in the next issue of OPM but today says it will be July 7th and has always been the plan/strategy!

They stealth dropped the UE5 collab demo as well as didn't give a two week announcement for the GDC talk. There's gonna be no actual physical people at this "event" (no journalist invites), it's all done online.
They can literally drop it 3 days ahead of time and the world will mark it on their calendars.
I am still going with Grubb is in the know.

It definitely seems like it. I just think sony are trying their best to make sure the ps4 AAA exclusives (they seem to have one a month these days) have full exposure and sales. They also want Microsoft to show their cards including specs and pricing. I think there will be something before the end of june 2020. I cannot believe that the hardware won't be shown off soon if its out this year and manufacturing would have started and someone will leak it.

Which is exactly what Sony did last gen; They had TLOU releasing the same year the PS4 was. So while Microsoft had to talk about Xbone (They had nothing else), all Sony had to do was bang the TLOU/Ps3 drum and buy themselves some time while Microsoft show their hand.
Look what's happening this time; Microsoft are throwing everything they have, which is a lot, while Sony wins the Internet with a UE5 demo, bigging up TLOU2 and GoT.

The Grubb guy seems to be pretty solid so im expecting an announcement later this week or early next week for the event to be the following week. One game I am all of a sudden expecting is Housemarque's new IP which could end up being a launch title. PS5 event in early June, Xbox hardware event info in late June and then, Xbox/Ubisoft showcases in July. And of course, we have a few shows in June. Really hoping that everything starts ramping up because the first five months of 2020 have been decent at best.

One thing I'm hoping they reveal is which ps4 games will be getting significant enhancements. That could help me decide which games to dive into pre-PS5 and which to hold out for. I'm thinking Last of Us 2, Ghosts of Sushima, God of War, Spider-man and Horizon Zero Dawn will be getting faster load times and 4k/60fps. Curious if 3rd party games like Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 might get similar upgrades. All of these games could be impressive showpieces for the PS5 in upgraded form, overshadowing much of the launch lineup.
