Despite many people's opinions on Confrontation, I actually thought it was an overall enjoyable game after some patches but still was nowhere as good as the revered SOCOM 2.

Fully agree, especially post-patches. Can't put all the blame on the devs though, too inexperienced. Still, the sound in the game was amazing and the proxy chat was a great addition. At least it felt like a Socom.

My prediction for the night is Just Cause 3. Avalanche Studios branched out and made a new studio in NYC in June 2011. Event is taking place in NYC (not that it makes a huge difference, but hey!) Also, Project Mamba is co-dev'd by them and Square-Enix, which is described as a "groundbreaking" open-world action game. Seems to fit the bill, and they are well-due for a game now. Anyway, just my two cents.

I feel so odd right now. Like I don't actually care about the next PlayStation and definitely won't be there on day one, but I'm still oddly excited about this announcement.
