Do games often go free one or two months after release? Let me rephrase that: do games EVER go free one or two months after release?
Strider and Towerfall were free with ps+ within 4 months- fool me twice Sony? Never again.

Off-topic, but do you guys see any real merit in having a wired connection to your PS4 vs a wifi connection?
If I am not mistaken, wired PS4 -> your router -> Vita has better remote play.
Gotta optimize your $400 accessory for Vita!
Just fired up the PS3 and there was a PS Store patch.
Hope springs eternal, so I fired it up. I didn't really think it could still be as awful as I remembered ... and it isn't!
It's worse!
Why, Jebus? Why?
With Vita over wifi? Or how does that work?Better for streaming video and allows you to remote play directly.
stabilize , you dont seem to understand thatEvery time I see a patch for the Store my reaction is the same: "Sony, what's the point?"

This never happens. It's an exaggeration.just wait for them to go ps+ in a month or 2.
New PS3 store? I got to see this.
The best connection is ad-hoc PS4 > Vita, no router involved - so it doesn't matter how it's wired in.
If you're connecting over the internet then yes, it'd matter that it's wired vs wireless - otherwise, nope.
Really?
I thought the consensus was to not directly connect with the PS4.

I could find other threads; I was reading them since I was thinking of buying a PS4 but never connect it to a display ever again after the setup.
Edit: Also, IIRC, PS4 is only 2.4Ghz, so by having it wired, you'd have less stuff to worry about.
computer tech ya sayIf you set everything up right and in perfect conditions, direct connection is smooth and clearly superior to other connection methods (especially with regards to input).
Trust me, I'm a computer tech.![]()
computer tech ya say
ps4 and vita wifi is shit..... neither way is smooth.
Apologies if this is not a good place to say this, but I just got to say, I have always been a Sony fan but my god do I dislike my Ps4. That goddam thing never seems to work well... It worked flawlessly at launch, but now my network features work ~15% of the time. And I have a 50mbps connection.
I gave up ever trying to save videos, my store RARELY opens, watching streams seems to be broken most of the time and I can never rely on the "whats new" or game network sections. Plus no themes, dlna, usb video and game updates/downloads are inconsistant. This console is just a mess for me...
Dunno what to do about this thing! I use my ps3 more... Sorry for the rant, just needed to say this!!
That is a good idea and I might just try it.Why dont you contact the customer service and exchange your console?
That is a good idea and I might just try it.
Has anyone had success with that though? Are the network issues with the console or Sony? Everything seems fine unless it has to run off a Sony server (can stream video at 1080p easily).

Try rebooting your router.
If you're unsure how to do that, the easiest method is to unplug it, wait ten seconds, then plug it back in. Could be something to do with the way it's connecting currently, and your router needs a reboot to fix it (this is a common issue, unfortunately).
port forward/ set vita ip as dmz host
Depends on the game, I would've thought. Mostly by IP I'd guess though. How does matchmaking work on PS4? Does it match by your PSN region, or by IP? Planning on moving to US account, since our regional prices are fucked up beyond measure. Sony should take a lesson or two from Gaben.

So Chaos Rings III is coming to Vita but we dont have Chaos Rings II or Omega. Smart move Squeenix.
it says on right on the title "prequel trilogy"
The screenshots are from Chaos Rings III. They're not Vita resolution, though.
However, Vita isn't solely getting a port of Chaos Rings III, or else its version would just be called that. It's getting "Chaos Rings III Prequel Trilogy". We don't know what that means exactly right now, but given the name and the higher price it's probably more than a single game.

Guys, is it true that you cannot complete Ratchet 2 in the retail version of the trilogy? I read it crashes at some point. First Jak and Daxter, then Borderlands 2 and now another vita shitty port with Ratchet and Clank trilogy? I feel so frustrated with Sony lately...

I'd assume it's the 3 previous games and 3. Like the name implies :lol
How's the Rogue Legacy port job (Vita)?
I was thinking of grabbing it before I go on vacation in the middle of September.
The mobile version is still just called Chaos Rings IIII understand that but images from Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy are these ones so even thou they are not Vita's screenshots its not the games already launched all in a package(if that were the case i will buy it day 1). I think its a new but episodic or 3 parts divided Chaos Rings (i would like to be wrong and if Flandy is correct i promise to buy the game twice because reasons) . Even thou the screens are not from Vita's native version the game will get a retail release and i think will not differ as much in graphics or resolution.
Anyone else pre ordered The Swapper? I have high expectations for this one, hope the puzzles aren't too hard.
why not just name it the chaos rings collection or chaos rings tetralogy/quartet/quadrilogy
