PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

http://gematsu.com/2014/06/bandai-n...ocalization-petition-reaches-50000-signatures

Although the petition linked to includes Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode aswell now it's at 30k so it has a decent chance of hitting the 50k they want to consider discussion for localizing Cyber Sleuth. Someone might wanna make a thread so it garners more attention.Nice catch by the both of you. If that is a native Vita version of Nexus i'm impressed at how it's looking compared to Full Frontal Assault considering it runs on the same engine, maybe there's a different team handling it.

Finished Stealth Inc. A clone in the Dark. What a great game, that ending was totally unexpected.

Correct Answer! That ending was so far out of left field, never in a million years would have predicted it, even though the game is littered with that style of humour throughout. Absolutely loved the ending and can't wait for the sequel!

Even if a native Vita version of Into the Nexus were being made, that video is not showing it. It's most likely a PS Now demo, as baekshi mentioned.

Persona 3 FES, yay!

Anyone know if this port is any good?

....If you have a Vita and/or PSP, get the Portable version. While FES has better visuals, presentation and extra story content ala the "Answer" content, between the 'health' system the characters have and the fact that you cannot command your party members attacks...it makes things a bit of a pain :(.

It still is an amazing game and if you can't find other means to play it, then by all means get P3:FES :D. But, if you can get it, buy the PSP version instead; it may not look as nice but it is the best playing version of the game thus far.

It is known that the creators of Persona games dislike P3P due to how much they have sacrifice to make it playable in the PSP. Now, Leila, you don't want to play a product that the creators themselves have openly disliked, do you?* If you have to choose between P3P and P3FES, always pick the latter.**

*note that I am half-serious half joking in here*

**not about this one though.

What kind of Vita love were they giving? Off-screen Vita capabilities maybe?

As mentioned by Takao, they were doing the remote-play gush. "Almost like a portable version of our game" or something like that was mentioned. TBH, quality companion apps are the future for these multiplayer games. Was so bummed when I tried Warframe's Vita 2nd screen thing.

The Persona team was irked about Persona 3 Portable? If they had to sacrifice THAT much to get the game onto the PSP, why didn't they just wait until the Vita came out? That is what they did with Persona 4 Golden (it was originally going to be a PSP game at first but once they learned about the Vita, they deciced to move the project over to that).

Then again, this WAS way back in 2008, so my point is a bit moot there :l. Either way though, I guess they didn't want there original vision to be so cut down, but the large part of the game is the story, and that part is improved in Portable. The main thing you look at is the character portates during the cut-scenes, so that being what the cut-scenes are, isn't really that much of an issue.

The lack of a 3D world for everything but Tartarus must have irked them too (as they must have worked hard on the environment) but being able to insta-warp between locations via Square button really made things smoother in Portable :). The combat too is improved (as it was lifted from Persona 4), so while somethings were cut down, the core of the game was improved in the end :D.

Was the thread made?

I want to do a clean-up of my PSN friend list. Is there a faster/easier way to mass-delete people other than to use the mobile app?

Yea, it's known that the team felt dissatisfied with P3P. Probably one of the reasons why FeMC is always scrubbed off from games like Arena or Persona Q :p Hahaha.

P3P is a good, competent game, and if that's the only way for anyone to experience P3 then go for it. But as for me P3FES resonates with me much more powerfully due to a variety of factors, so I always recommend people it over P3P whenever possible.

Oh the things I would do for a localized medabot game...

Are they good games? What are those medabot games play like anyway? Digimon? Pokemon?

Guess I'd better do some research...........

The sequel being Wii U only (or first, I don't remember) is complete BULLSHIT!

Yeah, I heard its not going to be 2d only. It will be more 3d and using dual screen so... WiiU. It's really one of the best indie game I have played. I hope we get to see a PS4 version of the sequel.

Oh, and the music is so awesome!

My first SMT game was Persona 3 Portable. I love the series and I think I wouldn't be a better person if I played FES instead

There's already a thread.
Good to see GAF's on the ball as usual.

As cha said though the button prompts have been changed to be colourless, seems a bit odd to go to the effort to change that for the PS Now release but on the other hand I don't know why anyone else would have mentioned it at E3 so it probably is a PS Now demo.

Medabots games are similar to Pokemon, but the battle system is significantly different. Rather than a typical turn-based set up, the games in the main series use a 3-on-3 relay system. Players send their Medabots to race to the middle of a track to land attacks with the goal of destroying the leader Medabot of the opposing group. As these are robots, parts can be interchanged. Some leg parts allow you to be faster at the cost of defensive abilities, other parts are ranged/melee weapons, etc.

No kidding lol.

Anyone wanting to experience P3 for the first time should go with FES.
I recommend a second playthrough with the female MC on P3P if you like the game enough to replay it.

It's probably nothing but oddly when you search for a game on the PS4 store, Disgaea 3 is showing up. It says PS3, Disc Only. Probably accidently added.

...like monster hunter, it's not that the series had some big graphic improvements.

"Nostalgic PSP dithering and more!"

Maybe i'm blind, where is the dithering?

At least it looks native res.
I don't like (recent)Capcom and Monster Hunter but the port seems to be very good.
Even Capcom makes better ports than Sony...

The Freedom Wars trailer on the Sony blog has definitely piqued my interest. The no english dub isn't a problem. Its looks very promising so far. Damn, should have played this at E3.
