Despite that being exactly what they are doing, I still appreciate it.

I have nothing against indies on the Vita. Hell, one of my most played games on the Vita recently is Luftrausers, however I would like to see more original indie games developed with the Vita #1 in their minds. Heck the 3DS has some indie games that are developed with that shoddy hardware in mind.

Same deal with Sony. I want to see more original content from them. SCEJ and SCEE have been fairly good to the Vita (Gravity Daze, Killzone, etc) but SCEA is the laziest bunch of them all. I did not spend $250 on a handheld just so I can play something I played on the PS2, then once again played on the PS3 (ala GoW). I know the Vita is ded out in the west, but a part of me still wishes that Sony would pull a "Dreamcast" for the Vita. SEGA knew the DC would be their last foray into the console market, so they practically went out with a bang and blew out their load. I wish Sony would do that. The Vita is certainly their last handheld, so why not make it a memorable one? If they are gonna put a GoW title on the thing, at least make it an original title.

I really do miss the arrogant Sony of yesteryear, they knew that they where never going to triumph the DS, but they still took risks with the PSP. I wish Sony of now would do the same the Vita.

Nope. I'd love to see some Gravity Rush 2, but if Vita's even at the stage show, it will probably only be streaming some PS4 games, or a sizzle reel of recently released and confirmed stuff for the cazools to see.

Speaking of E3, is anyone here expecting something big for the Vita amidst the focus on PS4?

I expect nothing for Vita at E3. At best we'll get a port announcement.
ICO and SotC please?

All my expectations for Vita news always come on Gamescom and TGS.

I feel the same way. Feels like we just gotta take what we can get with this bad boy. We shoulda knew after PS4 dropped vita wasnt gonna mean shit lol

Nothing beyond announcements of indie games, to be honest.

Which is just a bummer to me.

Maybe I should go ahead and buy PS4, but reading the "...months in how is your PS4" thread kind of scared me, hahaha.

This year will be the last for SCEJ to support Vita. I'll predict they already put the majority of their resources elsewhere for PS4, so honestly I don't expect major big thing for Vita at E3.

Personally , I ain't touching a PS4 til MGSV or FFXV (which ever comes first) drops. That or SCEJ/L5 pulls a Dark Cloud remake out of their asses at TGS. But SCEJ is too busy making hunting games and/or working colabs with From & Capcom. and L5 is too busy trying to make the "next pokemon".

Nothing about the PS4 is appealing to me now, I'm perfectly content with my PS3 and could probably live off the thing for another 4 years.

Its funny because I have all the systems and I would rather play games on my Vita. I miss the feeling I got playing Golden Abyss on that thing. Fuckers gave up after the first lap.

Dang, I was hoping y'all knew something I didn't.

Didn't see that one. Got a link? Lol

I'm also looking to pick on up soon.

Here you go

Hearing all the "my PS4 is going KAPUT" stories is a scary thing :o

My gut feeling tells me it would be way better to wait until Sony releases a more reliable/upgraded version before jumping in.

Yeah same here. In terms of usage it would be Vita > GBA > PS3

With the 3DS & da PeeCee being used from time to time for my theatrhythm and CSGO fix.

Right now it's PS3 > Vita (not by much) = 3DS > Xbox360 for me.

A friend in work already nagging me to buy WiiU and to tell you the truth, it's tempting, hahaha. I need to choose between WiiU and PS4 though, not possible to do both at the moment.

WiiU will end up being my first next gen console. I already know that I'll get one due to Smash this winter, but MK8 looks really fun.

I don't really know, considering I do not own a PS4, but if both accounts have the same PS+ Account...then it should(?) work... I mean, if you have one account that has PS+ on it, automatic updates would work fine (I'm sure its a non-plus feature for the PS4...it became on for the PS3 not to long ago). I'm sure someone on Gaf has a better answer, so I hoped this helped :).

thanks. that's what i've been assuming.... guess i'll find out soon.

I think a PS4 will be a fantastic purchase by say, January.

So far this year I've bought and returned an XB1 with Killer Instinct I played every day, used the money to buy a PS4 that I've barely touched outside of Resogun and Infamous, and then decided to get a refurbed WiiU from Nintendo to tide me over until fall only to have it be borked straight out of the box.

Ya know, ya just gotta laugh

I haven't turned my PS4 on since the day Mercenary Kings came out. I don't regret it though. It's a great system that I'm glad I got at launch. Can't wait to import GG Xrd.

Hopefully importing won't be necessary. Arc has said that they want to get it out in NA as close to the JP release as possible.

If you're European then, well, more power to you.

Are you kidding?
How many Unity games have you played on Vita? Unity support is a relatively recent addition on Vita and don't forget the many examples of indies selling better on Vita than anywhere else.

This x2000

The only Unity game for now is Stick it to the man, we will see Unity supported games in the future but this starts this year(not yet). Stick it to the man was the proof of concept to see if unity works on Vita.

I think we might get some surprises this E3. For sure we will see some gravity Daze 2 action there. (for me is more than enough to keep my vita , despite the flaws the game is easly one of my favorite games)
I expect news from Square enix wich did well enough with the FF HD collection on Vita selling the same amount of units or more in Vita vs Ps3(and thats a big challenge, more than 70 Millon units for install base)
I dream with some Kingdom hearts announcement, i know is not probable but in time we will get one like we did on PSP.

Man, Playing FFX, Muramasa and Atelier Totori back to back makes me yearn for some western dev games. Although I know they are not creating games for the Vita.

One supports unity, the other supports nothing.
Main reason why indie devs are throwing their steam leftovers into the platform.

One is close to PS3 in power (after adjusting for resolution diffrence) other is in the ballpark of low end android phones.

That alone makes it much easier target of ports for indie devs.

I
recently entered an old man's stomach.

Plus the way everyone just casually acknowledges that there's a gravity shifting girl running around.

Has there been any word as to whether God of War collection will be cross buy?

I am guessing it will be due to Jak and Sly both being cross buy.

Honestly i'm a little optimist, remember that one the the heads of SCEA changed recently, so things could be a little different, i don't expect a big Vita exposure but imo Vita will be treated better this time
i don't even want to believe that Vita could be treated worse :\

I expect nothing for Vita

and you'll still be disapointed :(

I expect Ratchet and Clank Collection, some port like Journey and nothing more. They're supposed to release a Infamous game this year (at least that's what famousmortimer said), but I'm going to act as if I don't know this xD.

At least it ends before e3 starts

Where I live my final exams start like a week before E3 and finish 3-4 days after my city big local festival...

Last year I had an exam the morning after E3. I watched the afternoon / evening conferences I went to bed and watched Sony's one when I returned home after the exam.

This year I won't have that problem since I left my degree and November. I'm going to start another one next year :)

I think a PS4 will be a fantastic purchase by say, January.

I'm going to wait until Sony drop the price or gives quite a good bundle. They don't need to be completely new games. But if they bring something like PS4 + 2 games for 400€ I'll probably bite (games like Killzone, Infamous, TLOU...)

Still, I'm not in a hurry. I'm not buying a PS4 until Persona 5 and Tales of Zestiria are released in the West :)

Considering we don't even have Netflix, and no reason has ever been given.

I got the Netflix US app on my UK Vita ages ago, before they changed the rules about memory cards and accounts. Hardly ever use it, but nice to have. Seems silly not to have it in Europe - can't imagine it is an exclusivity thing, MS don't have a handheld, and I think Nintendo don't have netflix on 3DS?

No. 3DS Netflix is oddly absent too in Europe. Emailed both parties (Sony and Netflix) only to have them blame the other side. Guess it's not really a matter of urgency.
