Sorry man, I dunno; it seems to me that you're just trying to justify Vita's situation here.

Well it's a very bare bone HD "upgrade", if you can even call it an upgrade. Compared to FFX/X-2 remaster, this is just so bloody shameful, IMO.

im just stating why a lot of developers are making Vita versions of their games becouse the attach rate is making profit , i dont think they are doing it for fun. i have both consoles and regarding announcements week after week i see bucnh of Vita titles but not so much for 3Ds...

IF you dont have it dont wait and buy this trio: Hotline Miami, Guacamelee, Olli Olli and for a bonus track buy TxK. Indie perfection.

Me as well, so I didn't complain too much...

Still, my eyes just couldn't believe the ugliness being displayed, hahaha, though most likely I will be used to it if I spend more time with the game.

That ugliness you speak of is probably the game style. I know there is room for a lot of improvement in the PS3 titles (not counting remakes, like Graces f or Symphonia), but they all look pretty much the same, but once I got used to one of them, I got used to them all :P

Oreike (PSP) is stunning.

I've been okay with the PS+ offers but the worst thing about Asia PSN is the release dates on US/European games, we are still waiting on a lot of stuff like TxK, Terraria etc

If you're in the Asia PSN region, switch over to the US store and never look back. You can pick up PSN cards easily off Amazon.

I hope to get GOW1 free on day 1, I want to replay it and that will be my way to return on the Vitatrack affter a month of intense 3ds playing

Yes and very import friendly , not to mention the amazing cover art

RPG is import friendly?
How so? I wouldn't mind picking up a copy.

Ok, so I'm eyeing up the older Persona games on the SEN store, they are all still quite pricey. If I loved P4G I hear that P3P is worth a shot, but what about 1 and 2?

I think people consider the P2 duology to be amazing but P1 is quite rough and hasn't aged that well.

There is a PSP version of P2: Innocent Sin on both (US and EU) PSNs.

For Eternal Punishment, you can only buy and play the PS1 version, since the PSP game wasn't localized. And sadly, it's only on US PSN.

Persona 1 and 2 are more similar to the mainline Shin Megami Tensei. As such there is a possibility that you might not like it. These games are quite different to the later games (3 and 4) but if you are looking into playing not just the Persona games but the whole SMT franchise, they can be a good breather. For me, they didn't aged well in the graphics department, but they are still quite good.

Take note though that Atlus generally puts these games on sale without notice, so if you're not in the hurry you can wait for these price drops to save some money.

I've just beaten the second boss on Muramasa (Momohime's path) and I have to say I'm probably not that good at it lol (playing at Chaos difficulty). I died at the second boss a couple of times when he trapped you between two columns of fire (there is an invisible wall that doesn't let you left that area).

Still I quite like the game. It's visually stunning, it has depth and it fits handheld gaming really nicely. I'm seeing its flaws (repetitive, backtracking and all that) but I don't care about them.

Do you use the default control in-put or do you recommend something different? Game control input clearly reminds its origin as a Wii game. Square button does almost everything in this game

should
(1) open up my retail GoW Saga and claim the PSN voucher for the HD PSP GoW Games
(2) open up my retail MGS Legacy Collection and claim the PSN voucher for MGS?

and I have a copy of GT5 XL, what DLCs am I missing from this?

Default is fine for me.

Also if you think that boss is hard... man, this game kinda ramps it up. :P The boss fights are really fun though.

Yes. I think I'll keep learning how to play it as long while I play it. If a battle is hard but fair I'll supposedly learn a little every time I lose. And I'm totally fine with that.

One supports unity, the other supports nothing.
Main reason why indie devs are throwing their steam leftovers into the platform.

Despite that being exactly what they are doing, I still appreciate it. A lot of these indie games are perfectly suited for a portable experience, but wouldn't work on phones at all, so I love having them on my vita. I liked Spelunky and Stealth Bastard on steam, but I play them so much more on Vita, great games for when I have 15 minutes between class or am on call at the hospital waiting around for something to happen. I also love the full Vita experience games like Gravity Rush and Ys: MoC, but keep the steam leftovers coming as well! Cannot wait for Binding of Issac and Rogue Legacy!

anyone having some really weird connection issues with their PS4 recently? I test my connection and it's perfectly fine but I can't use Live with Playstation as it locks up my PS4 and hulu and Netflix either don't load or load really, really slowly to the point that they're unusable. BF4 also tends to not consistently connect any longer.

Finals week is over! Gonna try to finish Demon Gaze this week before moving onto BL2 and Soul Sacrifice Delta. :D

Probably going to stick with "Escaping a Grim fate" for the SSD OT subtitle unless someone has a better idea.

Bought Soulcalibur 5 during the sale cause my girlfriend loved SC2 back in the day. Man she is terrible, button masher extraordinaire. Guess I have to keep pretending to lose or she won't play with me anymore, oh well. Is there any way to set a handicap in this game without it being obvious that I am doing so? I'm not big into fighting games, but I am actually enjoying this one a lot, certainly worth it for $5.

I bought MGS HD Collection. As someone who has never played these games, do they still hold up? Will I enjoy them?

Also, should I play MGS3, with it being first in the timeline, or MGS2, with it being first in terms of release?

So there two Persona 2 games then? Do you need to play them in order or something?

Ok, it's time I've platinum Project Diva f so I can move to other games!

How was the semester for you? What are you majoring in?

Are you kidding?
How many Unity games have you played on Vita? Unity support is a relatively recent addition on Vita and don't forget the many examples of indies selling better on Vita than anywhere else.

Good luck, the PDf platinum was really easy. :P

It's been a great semester for me, my best one so far in terms of GPA. I'm majoring in biology and planning on doing public health in grad school.

Is there no way to salavage downloads that didn't quite work?

I'm trying to download FFXIV, which is a 12GB file, so I left it on overnight and checked in the morning. I noticed it was stalled partway with a big X through it, and "Can't Download" message. I tried selecting it and also checked the Library section for some kind of "resume" option or whatever, but no such luck. The option to download it wasn't even there. I also reset the system about ten times, but the download remained broken.

I'm having to start over now since the only way I could resume in any way was deleting it. With 11 gigs to go, I don't want this to keep happening.

Good choice! Both games are just as amazing as they have always been. Even more so for being portable.

Personally, I play them in their release order, maybe just because I consider MGS 3 a masterpiece and I like to leave the best for last. But I think that is still the best way to play them story-wise. It's just really cool for me to learn the origins of a saga in latter games.

Ahh interesting, I just got my Masters of Public Health last year, specializing in Environmental and Occupational health. In med school now, I'm excited to try to combine Public Health with medicine. I'm assuming you are more interested in the science side of Public Health vs the policy side since you are majoring in Biology, and there are a ton of cool things you can do with an MPH, like working for the CDC and making sure the movie contagion never happens. Always interesting to find people doing something similar to what I did.

Anyway, am I the only one that routinely restarts a game after playing for an hour or so once everything starts to click, because I did things so sub optimally at first that I feel better starting over, taking a bit more time, and having a much better start as a result? I did that with Totori and Demon Gaze recently, but even games like Bioshock Infinite or Borderlands 2 in the past. And it is never a frustrating restart, but it makes me excited to know what I am doing at the start unlike my first playthrough.

You know, as I'm playing through Unchated 3 for the first time I can't help but wish (from a gameplay perspective) it was on Vita. Being able to gyro aim and climb using the touch screen was awesome in Golden Abyss plus the puzzles that used the touch screen were cool.

It's too bad Bend isn't making another Vita game for the time being.

I'm actually in Atlanta right now. If something like Contagion or Walking Dead happens, we'll be the first to go.

I sometimes restart in RPGs too, especially those that involve allocation of stat/skill points. It drives me crazy when I mess up the points.

Was this already posted?

New MegaTen game on PSN this week?

You're probably going to want to fire up your PS3s and keep an eye on the PS Store tomorrow.
And if you're thinking "but wait, I didn't hear anything SMT related on the PlayStation blogcast this weekend," it's because I had to make a quick phone call to keep it secret. :)

NA of course. C'mon EU, you should know better by now.

this is not an RPG game is a puzzle action game , there is no RPG game in here
this game real name is Oreike - Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke.

The game is amazing.

such as 7th Dragon wich is an RPG another PSP gem forgotten in the japanese lands forever.

Ah, that's what I get for reading too fast.
Read "Oreike" as "Oreshika".

Thanks for the rec, I will track down a copy of this!

It's been a great semester for me, my best one so far in terms of GPA. I'm majoring in biology and planning on doing public health in grad school.

What slowed me down was the fact that wanted to get a Perfect on all the songs on normal. It was very rewarding to received a title for it. Just cleared Hard Mode and some songs on Extreme. It's about time I made friends with the Vocaloids now.

It was a good semester for me as well.

Biology: A
Calculus: B
Financial Accounting: A
Financial Accounting Lab: A

I have a PS+/Automatic update question, does anyone know the answer? Not sure where else to ask this.

If one user has PS+ and has a console as a primary system, and another user registered on the same system (but not as Primary system, also PS+)... Does games purchased by the other user still get Automatic Updates? I would assume yes. But I'm just hoping to figure out for sure.

More specifically, my Fiancee ordered a PS4 today, and I already own one.

So if Console A has me as Primary, and her as secondary. Will her games get automatic updates.

and with Console B has her as Primary, and me as secondary. Will my games get automatic updates.

Nice job :D; those sound like hard classes. My semesters is almost over and only have one major final (Darwin to DNA aka the English Majors version of Science) to deal with next week :).

I don't really know, considering I do not own a PS4, but if both accounts have the same PS+ Account...then it should(?) work... I mean, if you have one account that has PS+ on it, automatic updates would work fine (I'm sure its a non-plus feature for the PS4...it became on for the PS3 not to long ago). I'm sure someone on Gaf has a better answer, so I hoped this helped :).

My classes ended a week ago, my teachers didn't wait pass the first week of finals.
