If you have a PS3 then thats your best way of playing them.
Final Fantasy X HD was good, so was P4G and Stranger's Wrath HD (not ps2 but og xbox)
Its mostly just Sony's own PS2 games that look and run like shit on Vita. Not really surprising.
Quite often. Wait a couple of weeks and it's liable to happen.

Looks really good. Why can't Tales Studio make their character models look as good as this? The 3D character models looks almost like the 2D concept art. It's amazing.

If I had to guess, it's probably 400k~450k Japan + 150k~100k worldwide.

Well they posted numbers after the 550,000 number - 373,000 domestic and 279,000 overseas for a total of 652,000 (unless those numbers aren't for Tokiden, my understanding of Jap is based off of knowledge of kanji from Chinese)
In any case they seem to be happy and are thinking of expanding IP (read something about making some apps for mobile...-.-)
I think PSP + Vita sales were around 370k units sold in Japan. The Vita version alone sold aroudn 200-250k iirc.
The 550.000 number could be for the Vita version while the 650k number could be with PSP sales included.
I'm only guessing though.
Edit: I don't get the problem of making mobile apps. Looking for synergies and ways to wide the audience is always good. If some hundreds of people love the iOS app so much that they buy a Vita + Toukiden, the world will be a better place

But being serious: some kind of card-based game with the mitamas would be all the rage.
Really glad they are happy with the sales. Here's hoping a Vita exclusive Toukiden 2 comes up in 2015 (in japan, I mean).

I think this is how they convinced Namco Bandai to localise SAO and Tales of Hearts R.
If Toukiden, a new IP that noone knows can do 100-150k, then established franchises like SAO and Tales of Hearts R will at least do at minimum these numbers. Seeing as how Tales of hearts R sold 80k in japan, they would essentially double sales with localisation in the west even if they sell 80k again. Tales is one of the bigger more hyped titles on the Vita so I expect it to outdo Toukiden as well. That would easily mean Innocence R and Digimon RPG would be a nobrainer to bring over.
Also, remember how Xseed said that Ys Celceta's sales on VGbanned were wrong and low?
That was listed at 50,000 on there. With Toukiden selling 150k WW in the west, it could mean the japanese games buying audience on the Vita currently buys 100-150k games in it's first few months.That would explain why they're all rushing to localise games on the Vita.

No, Xseed said that Ys celceta's sales were beyond expectations. They released the game during vita drought in last year. People were arguing that Xseed's sales were horrible on the Vita based off VGbannedz on twitter, which Xseed replied that the site has fake information and that the game's sales were amazing on the Vita. With Toukiden global numbers out, we can extrapolate how amazing Ys are. Which is quite possibly 100-150k. Which are amazing indeed even at it's lowest estimates.

That's really good number for Toukiden. KT really deserved for such a good game. I hope with this Scamco feel they have shoot themselves in the foot for not biringing GE2 (unless they waiting for GEB2, even though the we haven't see any announcement).

We are going to get the Sly and Ratchet Collection for Vita in the US? Is there any way to get the cross buy if you own the physical PS3 copies?
There was a reason why I made that God of War thread; to inform disk owners of the God of War Collection of an alternate way to enable cross buy. If you own the disk versions of the collections, then their future cross-buy features are disabled (as Sony cannot patch it into the disks for some reason).
The Sly Collection is coming the 27th (which I expect to be cross buy digitally as the GOW Collection was) and Ratchet most likely some time after E3 (maybe July/August). I believe they will be cross-buy digitally (as this was), but the PS+ Trails glitch will not work with Sly; they know the exploit, so they will remove the trails of the PSN.
If you own the trails already and didn't download them (or own one/two of the trails and purchase the other one digitally), then you should be fine with cross-buy
.With 1.7 you can make a custom avatar if you use the smartphone/ipad app

I figure if I can at least get 1-2 games between the Vita/PS3 a month it'll be a worthwhile investment.
Having Gravity Rush, Uncharted GA, Soul Sacrifice, and Wipeout 2048 right off the bat is a nice start.

No way in hell they're not releasing the games separated. That would screw up those who bought the PS3 games separated and payed more than those who got the entire collection.
I hope that they'll fix that by later today

New Ps+ Owner protip: free games a great, but dont forget about cloud saves. You have to manuallly activate them per game!
