Haha I think that too! I didn't mean to say that ALBW or the other games you've mentioned are not suited for a handheld(or for a console), but that they fall under the same categories of other games like Killzone***, though many people tend to criticize only the latter one.

***which was made by a great team btw, I personally consider CS to be a better studio than Guerrilla. Same goes for Uncharted which was made by another talented studios.

I like how people like to use the Sony handheld b team argument. We got a game from Media Molecule, look at the metascore of their games. Studio Liverpool, Cambridge and Bend are also not bad.

To be honest, Sony maybe only has like maybe 4 studios which are really above the others, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, Santa Monica and Polyphony. The rest isn't better then the so called b teams that work on the Vita. Sucker Punch isn't better, Guerilla isn't, Evolution as well.

And now people are hyping up The Order from a so called b team and will hype up the coming Bend game.

You got the top post, so it works out!

What top post? It is still in the middle of thread page for me. ;-)

Edit: I won't purchase Soul Sacrifice Delta
for now
. Had the game since January and haven't played for a hour out of it. I'll most likely bite Toukiden Extreme though, since I played the first game on a friend's Vita for almost 2 days before giving it back to him.

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus confirmed for Fall 2014. (US)
Will have a limited run of physical copies.

I'm a happy man now. I still can't believe Akiba's trip 2, Conception 2, Monster Monpiece and SK: Shinovi Versus would cross the ocean and get localized.

Limited run? That's my cue to get in a preorder. I won't be making the same mistake I made with DJMAX again.

Rorona+ and Shinovi Versus confirmed on the same day.
My heart.
My heart is still okay. My wallet though...
You 100 post per page people have to be stopped.
Didn't that series just have a game?
I use 100ppp because I have a slow internet and I hate having to claw my way up to the newest post when I browse a fast moving thread. So I won't go back to the 50ppp for a long time.

Dekamori Senran is the newest one.

Hope the local retailers here start accepting preorders for this game. I don't want to deal with our customs here again. Urgh

So close I can TASTE it

How much Longer before SEGA, SE and Capcom finally join the gravy train?

Square is enjoying the mobile market right now. I didn't realize how well they were doing until someone posted the Japanese App Store charts.

Dissidia sequel for iOS :^)

I posted this in the wrong thread but anyway, Can anyone recommend some good lesser known ps1/psp rpg's that are playable on Vita? Looking to build a huge jrpg folder.

Too bad Vita doesn't have PSP's support in Japan.

I think that many people don't want to see the truth, time and things change, today's Capcom, Square and others are not the the same of years ago, Japan audience is changed too.
Today's Capcom is the one of DMC, RE5-6, mobile games etc, today's Square Enix is the one of the FFXIII trilogy, crappy mobile games etc, their good games are the exception, not the rule, they have fallen from the top spot long time ago.
Like it or not new developers are growing and rising and Japan tastes are changed too.
Vita needs Capcom and Square, but there's more than that.

Te thread was made in January, but this was the list of best sellers:

Thread

I wonder how it looks today. *goes to check
Thanks :)

That's great, but I'd rather have Hammerin' Hero and Jeanne D'Arc than Senran Kagura.

Me too. But even you have to admit that things could be much worse.

I really think that 2015 will be the best Vita year on Japan, since I can see a somewhat stronger support from the big players than now based on stronger sales of 2013-2014. And barring a total breakdown of the vita buyers or piracy, the majority of this JP games will be released stateside.

I never thought I would say these words, but I just had a fantastic experience at gamestop, and am a proud owner of a Vita 2000 borderlands bundle (the first words I never thought I would say, not the second part!). First, the hype is real, went to 3 gamestops that were sold out of the Vita/BL2 bundle before finally finding a store with one left. Would've ordered online but I wanted to trade in my OG vita, and didn't want to have no vita while waiting on the new one! But yea, the guy at gamestop was super friendly, talking about his recent 64 GB card purchase, and was able to get me a ton of bonus trade in value, like getting an extra 40% by putting the trade in towards a pre-order then cancelling the preorder after, and also scanned an extra 10% from game informer that I didn't even know existed. Long story short, I was expecting to get ~$175 trade in and pay the rest, I ended up with $300 credit and an extra hundred bucks to spend on games.

As for impressions, man this thing is so much more comfortable to hold. The smaller rear touch pad makes a big difference. Haven't noticed much difference with the screen, but I'm sure ill notice something here or there. I also love how the screen has a border separating it from the side controls, little touch but I appreciate it. Time to spend the next 30 hours downloading borderlands 2 on a WiMax connection.
