PS+ has been a godsend. Really helping me play games while money's been tight. Need to upgrade my HDD though, things are getting a little tight there too.

beginning this Wednesday
Thanks, missed that. :s

Yeah, it's amazing. Of course, I've been playing a lot of WoW/Diablo recently so all it's done for me is bloat my backlog to ridiculous proportions. Going to hopefully rectify that over the coming months (just need to convince myself I don't need to platinum the games).

playstation plus is really good, i would highly reccomend it if your on the fence, all i can say is if you buy lots of games, it saves you a hell of alot of money, and the title you get for free are increasing in quality, borderlands is an amazing game for example.

okay slighty off topic but anyone know when walking dead episode is coming to EU PSN?

I pay for both Xbox LIVE and PSN Plus. I find PSN Plus to be more rewarding for its cost, as you do get many games for free. Yeah, they are only accessible for as long as you are a PSN Plus member, but if you like to play for trophies, what are the chances of returning to a game 1 year after completing it?

I love how people complain about PSN Plus. I rarely game on the PS3 and I applaud Sony for the online service.

Yeah, he was! Always took people's advice and recommendations for Plus updates too. And tweeted hints as to what the next game was to get the community involved.

Like i said, hopefully the next person is as awesome as Ross.

Yeah he was really involved with the community. Hope the new guy is like that too.

hopefully PSN EU will get more resources, they always seem short.

Its like SONY Japan does not care for or understand the european market and thus we suffer the consequences of late releases or no release at all

(also fuck the countries that demand everything in their own language....)

Will be sticking another 12 months on to my current subscription. Have had it from pretty much the begining and this is quite possibly the best thing Sony have come up with.

maybe i misinterped your post, but:

huh? Euro PS+ was preeeeety fucking awesome so far. I personally call it "PS-Backlog"

I'm tempted to do this as well, but I'm erring on the side of caution as my sub runs out next year (not sure when, H2 I think) and we will be nearing the release of the new PS console at that point.

I'd be surprised if they didn't keep PS+ going on PS4. Seems to have been pretty successful for them. Means they can keep their "free online play" line, too.

Personally, my subscription runs out in December, so i'll be topping up this week with the 25% discount.

They've been pretty slow to adopt the Vita, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm sure the service will continue, but if "all" I get are games for the PS3 when I want to play shiny new things it'll be wasted.

EDIT: Someone remind me how I check my expiry?

I assume the Plus concept will carry forward to a followup console.

If it *doesn't*, I'd have to worry about whether there's an exit strategy lined up; they'd either stop subs and we'd lose access to PS+ games, or they'd keep allowing us to sub but stop offering new content. Neither is particularly appealing - the most obvious strategy as far as I'm concerned would be a gradual transition to the new console.

I'd think they would be quicker off the mark with a new home console, though. Even if they just keep giving you PS3 games, there'll probably still be cloud storage etc, probably some new perks too :P Who knows?

Account Management -> Transaction management -> Services (Something like that)

Thanks a lot Goldrusher guess I'll bite since I hope to have my PS3 until the end of 2013.

Even if the PS4 may be near in 2013 I'm going to wait and check the Hardware/Prices/Games (then get it obviously).

Yeah I hope so, although I wouldn't expect PS4 retail titles at the start. :p

Thanks. Tried checking the SEN website but there's nothing there, I'll check the PS3 later.

Well yeah, exactly. I imagine with the Vita they'll start off with mostly PSP/PSOne games then transition to PSVita games. Something like that would be okay with me for PS4, if we continue to get great quality games

well of course your PSN account (and PS+) will transfer seamlessly over to PS4 with no worries, and you just download your games and enjoy.

right? RIGHT?

My PS+ sub is over and with next update not bringing anything I'm interested in I don't intent to re-sub for now. PS+ on Vita could change my mind, though.

Yeah meant to start this month, so hopefully we get some info this week

Man if they launch an Instant Game collection composed of PSP games and PS One games with like 5 Vita titles in the first year (Little Deviants, Hot Shots, Escape Plan, Virtua Tennis, Unit 13 for example) I'd be buying a Vita first thing tomorrow.

Too amazing, not going to happen. :P

I'm expecting maybe 6 or 7 PSP/PSOne games and 3 or 4 Vita games (Reality Fighters, Everybody's Golf, ModNation Racers and something like Escape Plan or Mutant Blobs Attack).

It'll be interesting to see where they go with it on Vita

I actually see a 20% chance of that happening. I mean the titles listed have all pretty much bombed at launch when everyone else was buying Uncharted and I'd say publishers would be more than happy to get some money out of those PSP games.

I'd take that too...though i'd wait for the AC bundle if the above was their plan.

Puddle hopefully. ^_^
