I'm enjoying my trophy whore run in borderlands but man does this game run like shit on ps3. Longer load times, longer texture load times (the vending machines in a new area take about 30 seconds for their fronts to stop being blurry), much more frequent framerate dips and chops, and the game freezes for a good 20 seconds after exiting to the menu.

if you already bought undead dlc when it was released you might be surprised that the dlc in psn store front page is not marked as purchased.
Check your email history or download history for your purchase and you will find it.
I had to search for it myself since I had bought Undead Nightmare Pack at release.

I got this free month of PS+ with my Journey Collector's Edition. Only thing is I imported the latter from Canada, and I'm in Europe.
I read in this thread that those subscription cards are region locked, so I assume this one will be too. GAF, will I need to open a US PSN account to redeem it?

Yes, that Plus voucher would only work on that region account

Okay so... I booted up my PS3 and "James Cameron's Avatar" is fully downloaded and installed on my hard drive. It appears that it downloaded due to the automatic download. Happen to anyone else? I looked on my download history and it does not appear (automatic download stuff doesn't appear in that list as far as I know). It has no owners listed in the properties either (once again... automatic downloads don't have owners listed). I booted it up and it is the full game. I am not particularly excited about playing this probably bad game but what the hell?
Edit: Apparently I barely ever run stuff PS+ automatic downloads. It tags the owner/expiration/etc after you play it I guess.

I turned off automatic downloads of recommended games and videos a long time ago so I wouldn't get shit like this.
Would I be correct in thinking I can pop into GAME and pick up £30 worth of PSN cards, then apply those on my new PS3 and use them to buy PS+?

Yup, that's correct.
So for anyone with the BR version of RDR - sorry if old but the digital version picks up your saves off the bat - shame R* and Sony didn't know the answer (or take the time to respond to my questions) as they lost a sale and now I have it for 'free'

Not all digital versions have been compatible with saves from the disc version if I remember correctly.

Cool. Turns out I have £4 in unspent Tesco Clubcard vouchers so I'm going to head for the big Tesco Extra in Bar Hill instead and see if I can get PSN cards there.

I used to grab my PSN cards from Tesco Online when they did things like 15% off a £25 spend. Unfortunately last time around they excluded Live and PSN cards from the offer. Especially as they also offered 8% cashback through Quidco you would end up getting a £35 card for about £27.50 Will be checking out again next time they put a code up, fortunately at the moment I still have over £40 in my wallet.

Pondering an early renewal of Plus, and I notice an ad on the store front implying that there's a Plus discount *for* the Plus subscription; a price tag of £29.99, with a second pricetag with the yellow Plus logo saying something like £22.50 or therabouts. Try as I might, though, I don't seem to be able to coax the store into offering me that price.

Nope. Though last year in November, they gave out Jurassic Park game for free for like a week if you bought PS+ year sub. Wonder if they'll do something similar

I don't know why this thread even gets posted in, we already have monthly PS+ threads that have far more information about the current deals in them. Maybe the info in the OP should be linked to or even edited into the monthly threads.

I didn't even know there were monthly threads, when I wanted to find out about PS+ this is the thread I came to. Anyway, I got a £35 PSN card for £31 using some Clubcard vouchers at Tesco and bought PS+ for £29.99, so I've now joined the ranks of Plussers (or whatever you guys call yourselves) and I gotta admit there is a surprising amount of stuff that seems to be available - I thought it was just one game a month or something?
Also I think I might've got some games attached to my account from back when Sony was giving out freebies due to the hacking, because I already had Wipeout HD and Infamous 1 on there. Turns out I suck at Wipeout though, I can't even manage third place on novice mode on the first track >.<

remember to "download" everything that is on offer to make sure it is accessible to you if you decide to download it for real later on.
