Why? plus tends to do a big week, small week and alternate for the 4 weeks in the month, but given this month had 5 weeks for updates it ended up having 2 small updates at the end of the month?

this announcement is for the store update tomorrow, same way they have been doing these weekly announcement for NA plus for a while now. The stuff announced next week will be for the release next week.

personally had it been $10 cheaper at launch I would have bought it, and I wouldn't be pissed about it going 40% off a month later, I would actually be excited as in general I would like to see the PSN be more steam like with their sales with games getting decent discounts with in a month or two of their release.

Well i hope if Morgon is reading here but i hope both EU PSN and US PSN try to Get Yakuza 4 on PS+ in some way or the other.

Not only will it help earn more sales through this but also chances of Yakuza 5 port will increase

With the PSN Day 1 Downloads, do you have to be online to play it? Wondering because we have 2 PS3s in the same room. It'd be neat to not have to worry about which one is logged in with my main account since we're always doing different things.

why, the discounts will be up in time to matter towards the spend $100 get $20 back, which makes one piece pirate warriors for people who aren't at the $100 but want the game a very nice update

Good news is that from here on, we’re making a very concerted effort to have 1 game every week. Keep in mind that it’s not a guarantee, and there just may be some times when it’s not possible, but it’s something we’re in a pretty good position to deliver on, and it’s based off the feedback that you guys have provided over the past few months.

To manage expectations, Red Dead Redemption isn’t in the cards for US PS Plus members at this time. It’s not a matter of listening to the community, but rather, there are other factors that make this tough to do, for now. Just being upfront with ya =)

Use a proxy like Squid. I'm downloading, like, at full speed of my internet connection since I installed the proxy. And use wired connection, if possible.

(Started it at 10pm. Set it to auto-install. By the time I was up by 6am, my PS3 was off and everything was done).

Downloaded MOH:Warfighters, all of House of the Dead titles, Infamous 2: Festival of Blood, Ghostbusters, Stardrone and a couple more titles yesterday in less than 8 hours.

PSN seems to be rather hit or miss, I know some people who really don't get much speed from the psn, meanwhile I downloaded Resident Evil 6 (10gb) it about 2 hours lol (wirelessly)

Wired vs wireless makes a huge difference in my home. Wired is far more consistent and usually twice as fast.

There's no way it's the router. Every device except for the PS3 works at full speed. I tried every solution suggested online, but nothing brought the speed up to wired levels. Bad wifi within the PS3 seems the more logical explanation. Ps3 fat in this case, as it may be relevant.

3 days was obviously an exagerration but given that Little Big Planet 2 took at least 2.5-3 hours, I can only imagine what a game that's 4-5ish times it's length would net!

Infamous 2 is about the same size and it took me 13 hours to download.

For me it takes longer to install games than to download them. That includes larger titles like Infamous 2. Even back when I used a wireless connection I used to get pretty good download speeds. I think it's an issue of poor server performance in some regions and/or misconfigured routers.

More on topic. I'm not very excited for Crysis 2 or Ratchet: All 4 One, but on the other hand I still have several unplayed PS+ freebies from the last two months.

Plenty of enthusiastic gamers won't know about these games. Monkey Ball is the one that surprises me, because it's a pretty huge IP that spans back a fair while, but I bet plenty of people (even on GAF!!!) haven't heard of it!

I downloaded every game offered after E3 in the "Instant Collection" and it took 4 solid days. Of course, that isn't going to stop me from doing it again so I don't really know what my point was here.

As much as I love my US PSN account PS+ is becoming a regular source of laughs for me. At least I got some decent dicounts recently on Tokyo Jungle and the like.

Who knows maybe Sony will be offering something AMAZING for the Vita debut to balance this out.

I started it up, and made it to the "Press Start" screen, when my friend sent me a request to play Borderlands 2. I quit out of the trial, then proceeded to play Borderlands 2 with my friend for a few hours.. then we played a bit of EDF Insect Armageddon.
When I tried to get back on the trial, it says it's expired already. What the--why?!

When I tried to get back on the trial, it says it's expired already. What the--why?!

the full game trials thing sucks.. all the games you download for free trial dissappear from the store, normally they reappear when you play the 1 hour, but not all games.. I can´t buy Assassins Creed Brotherhood or 2 because of this.. they are gone from the store.

Because you only get an hour, from the moment you boot it up. When you press X, the clock starts ticking. I think it even warns you of this when you select download...? . Anyway yeah, next time, ignore you friend while you play the one hour trial.

Crysis 2 is definitely a decent addition. Already bought the game at launch but not going to hold it against SCEE for not checking with me first.

Be interested to see if it results in a revival of the pretty broken but still fun in bursts MP as might be the only chance to get some of the trophies still outstanding from empty game modes.
