Eh... December was announced well before yesterday. Do you keep up with the PS Blog at all? I try to make my game purchases after reading any + announcements.
It only takes care of the month, so its not foolproof.
Oh yeah, I was aware it was going up today. But can I really pass on Arkham City for 98p?

Can you actually add items to a basket on Vita?
I have never tried but since it seems you cant (unless its hidden very well) it really messes up payments. I want to get Rayman plus Uncarded but i cant buy them together on the Vita meaning i have to pay extra because of the £5 minimum.
I would do it on the PS3 but the Vita Rayman section is messed up, it says i have already bought both trial and full version (even though i didnt) but when i downloaded the full version before it loads like the trial?!

I've been dipping into it now and again. It's well made but it hasn't totally grabbed me. Could just be because I've had other games to be playing, normally find 'vanias hard to put down.
I'm looking forward to Knytt underground, one of these days I'm going to have to give that Nifflas guy some money, should probably buy Nightsky for something.

I had a Limbo demo but deleted it, now the store only lets me download the activation? :/

Yep, this annoys the hell out of me. Had to do two separate £5 transactions when I should have just been able to add two items to the cart and spend the £8 or so that they cost together.

yeah, the new store is totally busted, my guess is that A LOT of stuff isn't properly associated with each game.

I've brought this up before, but there's some games which aren't even classed as 'Game'*, which means they don't show up in the list of games, only way to see them is searching by name.
*i.e. they don't have a game/movie tag showing in the search results.
I just searched for Limbo and the full "trial" was the first hit.

Have you downloaded it? I believe it could be there, but hidden because it's already 'mine.'
I too followed the search hit and clicked download, thinking it was the trial, it wasn't. I have redownloaded it from my list entry successfully though, so no big deal, but I think they might be trying to be too clever in anticipating what people want.
Can't recheck now as I foolishly tried installing a big file whilst downloading another, which seems to literally take hours.

Hey guys I just renewed Plus for the 2nd time by buying a new yearly from the Store but my service page on my account menu on the XMB still has the old expiration date of December 8th. Anyone know if this will switch over to a new date soon? I forget how that stuff worked

I did download it, though I hadn't already downloaded it beforehand like you, but other things I already have purchased shows up in the search, so I don't know, put this one down to bad luck, lol.

I see. Store still says that I have exactly the one year subscription money in my account but that can't be true because I just bought the yearly. Get errors when I want to get Mass Effect, guess I'll try again tomorrow.
Hopefully everything went well with my renewal because the expiry date hasn't changed. Maybe tomorrow it will.
I bet everything is fine tomorrow. If not, contact Sony. The new store is clunky even on normal days but with the PS+/store update it just fucks up.

Yea I was a nightmare getting to check out. The funny thing is the actual download was super fast I downloaded the catwomen pack 217mb in maybe 30 seconds. Faster than its ever been.
My subscription to PS Plus just ended, and I noticed that a few of the games I got free didn't have a timer and didn't expire. Why is that? None of those games alerted me of course, so I had to manually check.
Some of them included Scott Pilgrim, Double Dragon, Pacman CE DX, and Bloodrayne: Betrayal. Pretty much only downloadable games. All the full games had a timer, as well as a few of the PSN ones.

Vanquish took less than an hour to download but it's been installing for more than an hour, I think because of downloading something else at the same time. I'm not imagining that problem am I?
The timers are tied to the unlock key for demo+key PSN games. If you launch those games you'll only be able to play the demo/trial portion until you buy the full game/unlock key or resub to PS+ so you can redownload the key.
Yeah, that's an issue. Installations take longer if you're downloading something cause the download isn't automatically paused so the HDD has to go back and forth between writing the downloading data and installing the game.
Had this with the Ratchet game. Thought the install would take long because it's 16 GB but after 8 hours i had to unplug the power.

BTW Limbo is fantastic, finished it with one sitting, short but great, some parts were beyond awesome

It really should pause downloads automatically while installing, I see no point in not doing that as they clearly don't work together. I try to make a point of doing it myself but I'd forgotten, thanks for confirming.
Well, yeah, I know free games+trials+demos expire, I was just wondering why a few of those free games (not trials or demos) didn't. Those few I mentioned, they're just not supposed to have a timer at all? If so, sweet.
Oh, so any game that was a basically a demo until it had the several KB activation file on it? That makes sense.

I search for Limbo, it takes me to the game page, where the download button simply re-downloads the unlock key. No trial/demo in sight.
I go to the demo section, choose all demos, platformer, there's Limbo... but again it takes me to the very same game page with only a download-button for the unlock key.
edit: Fixed this myself by getting the demo on the British store.
Also some weird pricing glitches today.
Vanquish was free on the main page, not free on the game page, then free in my cart, but it showed a total of €14.99. Weird. Fixed itself by trying again.
Tokyo Jungle shows a discount, but not on the game page, not in my cart. Can't buy it with a discount, no matter what I try.

In the end you're looking at the expire date of the demo, not that of the activation file. That expire date can be found on the SEN site.

I wouldn't count on that, at least not anytime soon. It's possibly the best-selling game ever for PSN, AND it's about to start winning GOTYs, if not Grammys. You might see a discount in three months, but I don't see it going free for at least six months, and probably longer.
That is just my guess though.

sony tends to do a sale for the top sellers or has people vote for their favorite games and puts those games on sale around this time of year so I would say it's likely it will go on sale given journey's sales and reception
iOS-level pricing. $1.50 or therabouts.
