Also, forgive me for almost double-posting but I didn't want to bury this in an Edit:
For the people who are looking for additional HDD space like I was for Uncharted 3 or for any other PS+ download, don't forget about the Game Data folder like I did. Tons of games install some of their data onto the hard drive that's not Save Data, and that easily kills a ton of space. It doesn't affect your save games either, so if you've got single player games you know you won't touch for a while look in the Game Data folder. Chances are good you'll be looking at a 2GB+ "install" for that game just sitting there taking up space.
Infamous examples include Gran Turismo 5 eating up 11 GB on my HDD...
