Thanks for the answer

two last questions:

1- Is this screen protector glossy or matte? I ask because this confused me a bit: "our barriers even incorporate anti-glare so you don’t have to worry about glaring light sources"

2- I'm sure you don't know since you haven't received it, but will this screen protector be the one that's re-usable? the ones that are a bit thicker.

based on the video it's definitely thin, they make it so it won't leave residue if you remove it but I highly doubt you'll be able to easily put it back on and get the same effect

Omg, I think I've now seen the worst possible Vita protection:

Any idea when we will start seeing the reviews coming out?
I'm thinking of getting that Ninja Gaiden game but wanna know how it is before I do.

So after messing around with vita at a GS, things I've noticed.

- glossy as fuck.
- mod racer and wipeout have insane loading times. Reminds me of Midnight club 3 on psp...
- Wow it takes forever for you to actually get to gameplay in the Uncharted demo. Then I accidentally hit the home button and realize that these demos don't have multitasking. Fuuuuu
- Buttons feel great. Nubs feel good... but I kinda like 3ds slidepad better. These nubs remind me of gcn c stick =/
- A lot of in game menus and graphics look a bit blurry, like they are not native res.
- Same problem with ds, but I fucking hate it when you have to swap between navigating menus with buttons vs touchscreen and they don't even tell you to 'tap here!' like in the wipeout demo.

So I just got off the phone with the store manager of a local Gamestop in the Chicagoland IL. He said he has a conference call with other store managers to talk about a midnight release on the night of Feb 14th for the FEB. He said he is gonna give me a call back later tonight. They're is confirmed that some Gamestops have accessories already out to buy. Also they're not selling any games till midnight launch.

Midnight launches are really cool for stuff like this. Since I hit a certain age, got married, and need a better nights sleep, I don't really do those anymore. Kudos to those who can get them, and enjoy them as fast as posisble!

the idea of a phone with a stylus just sounds ridiculous to me.
The phones and PDAs with touchscreen that Nintendo ripped off to make the DS also had stylus.
Nintendo didn't invented the touchscreen. Nintendo didn't invented the pencil like stick to interact with touchscreens.
Mobile phones also had virtual pet games, and brain training like games before the DS existed, BTW.
what phones used styluses in the 90s?
I would say all the ones with touchscreen. There were dozens of them in the early 00s (not in the 90s), from every major manufacturer. You can add Pocket PCs and PDAs here too, maybe there were from the 90s.

Fellow over at CAG noticed Sony using these handy icons and info to give more details on Vita game features.

StarDrone Extreme has cross-platform play, shares leaderboards

Hustle Kings also has a type of cross-platform play. You can play online against PS3 or Vita players.

Wow, may actually double dip on HK for the multiplat play.

Wait, the PS Vita doesn't come with a charging cradle?

I'm on the verge on ordering one with discount and hoping we get some launch review games.

To elaborate from what I posted earlier: Wipeout loading time wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. At least for me I guess. Thought it was going to be worse.

The 30FPS was noticeably different from the 60FPS but I soon got used to it. Certainly not unplayable. I understand what people are talking about it with the controls feeling kind of "floaty". I'd definitely be using a different control scheme. Don't think I could get used to how it was setup in the demo.

Aiming in Uncharted was horrible. Hopefully they patch that. Graphics are great. I'm glad it looked better than when I played it in December. I don't know if it had to do with it being a different Chapter or not but it was noticeably better. A lot less aliasing. It looked a mess the first time I played it.

Oh...and Little Big Planet is gonna ridiculous on this system. So many inputs. So much to do with creation.

Might be a silly question but is there anything to do if you don't have games? Like is there some kind of app store or a system where the community can make apps and various things and put it on the Vita. I'm getting this eventually but I just want to know in case I can't afford a lot of games.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna buy a cradle as well then.
Which is generally the recommended protection for the screen and back pad? I'm not looking for a case.

It's like those apps on PS3, or widgets on SEN devices. NetFlix, FaceBook, FourSquare, Google Map, blah, and one strange Alarm Clock app.

ANOTHER game that doesn't have online multiplayer but only ad-hoc.

Army Corps of Hell - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/02/06/army-corps-of-hell-for-ps-vita-a-taste-of-multiplayer/

I guess some would've known that from the Japanese launch but I haven't been following the game that closely.

I was going to get both ModNation and Army Corps but seeing neither have online, no buy.

Why don't developers realize this? It's 2012 and games like ModNation have stripped the online part out of the game. Ah well, just saves me money for another game.

I can't decide if I should preorder Wipeout or just buy it on PSN. Yeah there's a discount, but once I load up my 8gb card with Valk Chronicles II, PS minis and all the other shit I got from PS+, I may quickly run out of room.

Netfllix, twitter I know japan have something similar to PS home I think? or maybe samurai and dragons will come overseas since it's a freemium game

Well supposedly games on your memory card take longer to load. And Wipeout already takes foreeeeever to load

How is VC 2 ? I really liked VC 1 and was pretty mad that VC 2 went to PSP.

Can you leave WipeOut "suspended" on Vita and turn it off ? Next time you resume play, it should be instant ?

I think the eventual goal is to have the PS Suite on here as well, so whatever shows up on there should be playable on Vita too.

Confirmed or speculation? I guess I'll just get the physical copy. 10% off is only a few dollars especially considering ordering from amazon = no taxes.

It is slower for sure, though the amount isn't huge. I saw a video where it took Uncharted another second to boot to the title screen running off the memory stick vs. the physical copy. Probably shouldn't effect your decision too much.
