From what I understand, previously purchased content is 5 activations. Anything you buy now is only 2 activations.

I don't understand how it's supposed to work in my case. So my three PSPs before didn't count, and my new Vita does? So I can only have one more portable from now on? That really sucks... I know I'll end up with multiple Vitas before the generation is over...

I really have to figure out how to deactivate this current Vita before I send it in for replacement.

so for those who are waiting for Gravity Rush, don't hold your breath... we'll need to wait till April for it to get it's release (in PAL land, no idea about NA).

If you knew the reason, you will rage.

If it is what I think it is, then it makes sense to me. It sucks for people who want it now though. But it'll be good if the Vita doesn't have the 3DS situation where there were no games for months and months.

Oh, thanks. I expected to see them front and center. I'll probably buy SSD and maybe Lumines after work then.

Anyways, just got my text from Gamestop. The final days always feel like the longest, but I'm glad I'll have it in my hands soon.

I think they are going to add a Vita section in this weeks store update.

What's the reason besides them trying to stagger releases?

No luck for me. I might try to e-mail them later, but it didn't work in chat.

Any tips? I bought like 4 of the games in that promotion. Whoops.

Do this, go to your account and select that you want to return those games. Mark them as defective and that you want a refund instead of a replacement. Now reorder the games. Hold on to your existing games until the new ones arrive. Ship them back under the return label to get your refund. That's assuming if Amazon gives you a hard time over it.

Metro (Game Central) in the UK reviewed VT4 just today.

http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/890843-virtua-tennis-4-world-tour-edition-ps-vita-review-new-balls

In Short: An excellent conversion of the home console original, that actually seems more at home on the PS Vita than it did its original formats.

Pros: Simple, accessible controls and the new play styles and super shot work very well. Fun mini-games and smooth graphics. Expanded online mode.

Cons: Career mode and gameplay depth pales next to Top Spin 4 on the home consoles, especially given the variable artificial intelligence.

Score: 8/10

Why are they comparing it to Top Spin's career mode? There isn't a Top Spin on Vita, and AFAIK VT4: World Tour contains all of VT4's career options.

Just chiming in, got mine Friday, dude posted a FEB Vita on Craigslist for $300. I offered him $280, but at some point he talked himself down to $270, not sure what happened there, but whatever. Everything was brand new in the box. Spent most of the weekend at a state chess tournament for my son, so I picked up Uncharted and Stardust Delta for it and played a lot of those and Little Deviants while sitting in a food court for 8-10 hours both Saturday and Sunday.

As someone who never really cared much for the PSP (bought and sold 3 of them since the original came out, usually for one specific game that I wanted to play, then sold it again, luckily usually for more than I bought it for), I am completely and utterly infatuated with the Vita. The extra size is great for my big hands, so I don't cramp up after playing it for half an hour. The dual analog really is a godsend, it really does help to bridge the feeling I get playing on the 360/PS3 on the big screen to a handheld. The screen on it is amazing, and the graphical quality puts anything I've seen in a handheld device to shame.

Even my wife was impressed by how nice the screen is on it. I'm hoping there's a big update come Wednesday for the regular launch, so I can play PacMan:CE and Motorstorm: Arctic Circle on it as well, since I'll be buying both of those on the store as soon as I can.

So if you gently push Amazon's customer service, you can get to retroactively honor the promotion.

I ordered 4 games that I received last week but they gave me promo credit to get 1 game free. Which is cool with me. I had to call them after unsuccesfully chatting with them online

Didn't work for me either. Oh man.

Reposting for the next page just in case you missed it:

They seem pretty reliable, waiting to see if the amazon uk get the B2G1 free deal,
That would be nice, I doubt it though. Amazon US always seem to have those sorts of deals or lightning deals on games which we never get here except for the odd week in January. If they do surprise everyone and do a B2G1 deal though I'll be getting Uncharted, Wipeout and Everybody's Golf.

Either via Ps3 or from the website, but the website removes all activations and can only be done once every 6 months. I'm sure someone else here could explain better than me.

Nothing, which is what's bothering me

She wanted a sectional (understandable). My brother took his recliner (he couldn't fit it in his apt with his current couch, which he just sold) back. I'm going to put our current couch in our extra room where the 360 is. I'm fine with the couch, its not something we really need, but its good to have.

Our current table isn't the greatest (I got it for free). But its still in good shape and we hardly use it (we usually eat dinner in the living room). I didn't even know she had an issue with it until yesterday.

I'm more upset that she told me I could get a Vita and then pulled the rug out from underneath me. The same thing happened with our phone upgrades. I used mine to get an iPhone 4 and we agreed that I would use it until hers (this month) and if I didn't like it, I could get the phone I wanted (and give her the iPhone). Now that we're closing in on her upgrade, she wants a 4S (whereas I want a Galaxy Nexus), which means I'm stuck with a phone I'm not to fond of until next April.

When you finally talk her into letting you buy one again, she'll need to replace that rug. :D

What's the reason besides them trying to stagger releases?

From what I've learned, thats the only reason. The english review code is ready but I really want to play it NOW! RAGE!

My colleague managed to get a code for it so I'll let you guys know what I find out over the next few days/weeks.

edit - oh and I should add, its not DD only as rumored

How much of an issue, if any, are dead pixels? Have many people got Vitas with them? I wasn't aware of it until I read a post today saying quite a few of the launch units had been affected, though I think if that was the case more would have been made of it.

Me and my brother have both ordered a Vita so hopefully they're both unaffected by it, I don't know what returns policies are in regards to dead pixels.

Getting Digital Rayman Origins. 1 gig? No problem.

BlazBlue 3.3 gig? I'll get retail...

Yeah, that's why I'm going a mix of DD and retail.

One person here got a FEB with a dead pixel, but was able to replace it with Amazon. Mine's free of dead pixels.

Two portables per account. 2 PSPs. 1 PSP 1 Vita. 2 Vitas. However you mix it up, 2 portables..

I think it's 2 devices, not 2 portables. You can't download a game on PSP, PSVita, and PS3 without having to deactivate one of them. Lame as shit IMO.

That's my understanding as well.

Also, when is that iOS Advance Wars port game getting released? I think the name of it is Great Little War? That looked interesting.

Anyways, I hope everyone who gets a Vita enjoys the hell out of it, since this is getting off topic.

Man, I wanted to play Lumines.

I would probably get banned if I gave my opinion on this subject, so :X

Where did you hear that a lot of them had dead pixels?

100% of my Vitas had no dead pixels.
But 100% of my Vitas had a stupid broken shoulder. *glare*

I haven't had any, my only problem has been the not turning back on after sleep mode thing, and thats only been today at work with no wifi or 3g enabled or anything.

Great news!

Get a new wife who enjoys Lumines. My wife keeps asking me if I got Lumines yet. =)

I'll try to give them a call when I get home. I only bought 2 but I'd sure like to get Blazblue for free if possible.

Not DD only in europe? Are you sure about this?

Thanks for the replies everyone, I originally read about the issue on Eurogamer's forums, but luckily it doesn't seem like a widespread problem. Just hope ours don't have any when launch day arrives!

The EU version wasn't rumored to be DD only, it was confirmed as such. Both Yoshida, and the EU Blog team said so.

It was worded in a way that made it sound like a physical release was coming afterwards.

I made the mistake of taking a break from HSG to fire up FF Tactics for the first time in a couple years. Pretty much obligated to spend 50 hours on this now.

Is there any good soft case to buy? I want the one included in the starter pack, but not for that price.

Fuck am I going to have to order one from Japan again?

Do games save onto the game cartridge or the system memory cartridge?

Half and half. Some games save on the memory card (and actually need a memory card to boot) where as others save on the game card. The box art for the games will have a huge "MEMORY CARD REQUIRED xxxMB" logo on it to warn you which ones need a MC.

I think you could make a pretty good argument that this is fraud, because you are basically trying to get out of paying for return shipping by marking the games as defective (when you are going to return brand new unopened copies).

Let your conscience be your guide, I guess.

It is two portables, actually, not two devices.
