Not only that, but the tutorials in Blazblue are much, much better and explain everything in pieces. I don't think Marvel is necessarily "easier" to play, either, since they're both 4 button fighters and have similar styles of play. The only thing more accessible about Marvel is the character familiarity and being able to use most of the basic specials out of the gate, but other than that there's not much else.

This is correct. BB may be more complicated on the surface but there are more options to learn the specifics of each character. The only way to really learn in marvel is to get owned enough so you can see what to do or just pick wesker and hope for the best.

What is BlazBlue singleplayer like?

Is it like arcade-like, beat random player, get a quote at the end?

I'm hoping for something like Mortal Kombat, but that's stretching it.

BB actually has a pretty giant story mode (and two stories), along with a separate arcade mode that has its own versions of the endings. Story mode also has multiple paths per character, some extra scenes and multiple anime cutscenes. I actually think its better than MK's story mode.

I was really never a fan for the way MvC3 handled the combo drills either, doesn't really give you much information outside of the moves so you have to fumble around with timing. I just don't really know that much about BB's single player structure. This sounds pretty nice though.

As much as I like Blazblue, I've always found the stories to be incomprehensible. Then again, all fighting game storylines seem to suck. Soul Calbur V. :/

I agree, and much of it is still confusing in Extend, but they actually added and changed some stuff in the first and second stories this time to make things more clear in some ways, and more confusing in others heh.

The game needs to come with a glossary haha. But nothing will ever be as bad as Guilty Gear 2.

Has there ever been a fighting game story that made sense? Usually the stories are just tangled messes until the sequel is released and wraps everything up in the intro video for the previous game.

Still no domestic reviews for Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour. At least you guys seem to like it.
A german review site just gave the game a 53%.

Been looking at people using party chat and whatnot, and pretty impressive. Seems like a portable Xbox Live, but what are you owners' impressions?

Was all set to get a Vita, Uncharted and a memory card until the wife decided that we needed a new couch and a new dining room table.

Guess who lost that debate.

Which one? Want to read their criticism.

I read a story on the Vita in my local paper today and it was nothing but hot garbage. Its the same crap about the Vita not being a phone and about the system being an outdated concept where people would rather play Angry Birds because it doesn't use buttons.

Yet another - FFIV Complete:

As we get closer to the actual launch, I've found myself going from wanting only one or two games to now considering as many as five or six. I won't buy that many, I simply don't have the time to play them all, but narrowing it down to three or possibly four has been tough.

Right now, I think I'm going to go with Uncharted, Hot Shots Golf, and/or Lumines and Ninja Gaiden.

anyone know what play.com are like with pre-orders?

hopefully amazon UK have the same deals.
They've been good for me, it said delivery within 3-5 days, and my order changed to Processing on Friday then sat there unchanged for a few days. But today I just got an email to say they're sending it out by courier tomorrow to ensure delivery on release day. Not bad for free delivery :)

Gahh. Hurry uuuup Amazon UK. I hope my indecision and about the delivery method didn't kick me to the back of queue, I was changing it a lot until a couple of days ago.
They are torturing me! :'(

Haven't touched the order since making it (on the 6th) and my Ubi misprice order hasn't changed since the 8th of Jan and still no sign of that being sent either.

Amazon is matching the buy two get one free. I would pay a link but I'm on my cell
Already posted. :)
