PlayStation VR Thread 2: Reloaded

If this is not something huge, like you know... I'm going to anti this studio's game.

Full locamotion with hand tracking incoming?

Sony's new tech is short pants with LEDs to motion track our legs.

Do the "Running Man" to move forward.

Even though I really want proper controllers designed with VR in mind for PSVR the amount of games that need to do workarounds for full locomotion when using the moves and all of them suboptimal compared to analogue sticks or trackpads Sony really need to do something quickly.

Mindtaker

In Mindtaker nothing is what it seems: from the very beginning of the game and throughout the development of the plot the tension, uncertainty and feeling of claustrophobia are constantly increasing until reaching the final outcome. Everything starts with a call from the central: a strange homicide has taken place in a place that is very familiar, in the neighborhood that saw you grow.

The game will consist of revealing all the mysteries of the story and completing two different scenarios to be finalized, the first of them being the interior of a two-story house, attic and basement and the second of the scenarios a police station with several rooms and warehouses. Each scenario will be divided into 15 chapters, the game being a complete story divided into 30 chapters, within which there will be one or more control points.

Flipy's Tesla! Let's invent the future

Flipy’s Tesla!, Let’s invent the future is a passionate game for PlayStation®VR that stimulates the curiosity of the players and approaches scientific knowledge through a graphic adventure based on the immersive experience. The title counts with the scientific advice of Javier Santaolalla, Doctor in Particle Physics, researcher at CERN and Science Communicator, and is supported by CREATIONS, innovative education project financed by the European Comission, with the purpose of establishing new educational activities in the classrooms, that bring together Science and Art to enhance creativity in learning Science.

Really hope so, we really need Moves with Sticks now for all the first person PSVR games like Skyrim.

Maybe we will get an announcement at TGS, if they have a VR segment at their show.

I hope so because this is my biggest complaint about the PSVR. It was so stupid not making new move controllers for it.

Saw a trailer for this on Facebook today. Looks pretty cool, I was actually hoping to find some impressions on here.

So far 3-4 people who played it said it's one of the best PSVR game yet. Graphic is not the best, but it felt like a complete game. Granted that they're only 2-3 hours in.

I will be picking up The Solus Project sometime this week unless something unexpected arises and won't have time for it so will hopefully post impressions then. Don't have the nav controller though. I have heard middling things from non-vr players but only positive things from vive users and I like the premise of the game.

Cool, good to hear. I'll keep my eye on this thread to hopefully see some more. The alien planet looks really intriguing.

I'm definitely getting Solus Project in about 12 hours since it's 1am now, if nothing overly negative pops out of course.
But so far 3 youtubers who played it said it's great.

No, Solus doesnt use the Nav, just 2 Moves. Here are the controls:

LEFT MOVE:
TRIGGER = teleport forward.
BIG BUTTON = jump.
SQUARE = crouch.
TRIANGLE = toggle PDA.
X = rotate left.
O = rotate right.

RIGHT MOVE: TRIGGER = pick up / eat / activate.
BIG BUTTON = move forward.
SQUARE = drop item.
TRIANGLE = holster item.
X = inventory.
O = long range teleporter.
START = menu.
When you turn off teleporting, the LEFT MOVE TRIGGER is not used.

The game really needs a patch to use the Dual Shock 4. As you can imagine, playing a walking simulator with these controls isn't fun. At the same time, the graphics are very poor, even on a Pro. It would be amazing if they would patch these things, but the developer didn't make the port and from their comments, it doesn't seem that patching is a priority.

Just read that DS4 and Pro patch Isn't a priority too. I guess i'll shelve this until they rethink that. The controls ain't good.

This one, Paranormal Activity and Don't Knock Twice, all need DS4 patches bad. Really, Sony needs to put out new twin stick Moves, and a better camera

New short promo video PlayStation VR: Be Immersed:

Live the game and be immersed like never before, with over 100 adventures, including Spider-Man Homecoming VR Experience, Gran Turismo Sport and Bravo Team, on PlayStation VR.

https://youtu.be/5pCW9OLg7_8

Bad choice featuring Spider-Man: Homecoming, but shows some brief Bravo Team gameplay.

My PSVR has been gathering dust thanks to all the dust that I just can't get rid of.

Any good protection cases out there that aren't too expensive?

Damn so many games and I didn't have time to even start rigs in these last weeks... :(
Solus Project looks cool, if is decent enough for that price control and graphic are not a big problem for me.

Played RIGS a bit tonight from PS+. Sort of came off with a bad first impression. So heavy with the forced menu tutorials. Also couldn't find an online game when I tried the first time.

Still want to give it more of a try, even if only offline is the only option most of the time.

The slow/heavy handed tutorials are a common criticism of the game, can't remember if they ever toned it down at all.

I just played Bound. It's great in PSVR, don't think I would've played it otherwise but it got me thinking, I'd love Tearaway unfolded with this type of patch!

VR Spy Game ”I Expect You To Die" Gets Relaxing New Level
Agent, you've been hard at work saving the world, and you really deserve a vacation. So we're going to to give you one. On October 24, you will be able to download a new update to I Expect You To Die (IEYTD) entitled First Class. New and existing players will travel in a first class train cabin on an all-expenses-paid vacation across India. What do I mean by ”all-expenses-paid?" The level is free, of course! Sit back, relax, and... well, try not to die.

The response to IEYTD has been overwhelmingly positive. We have seen many excellent reviews of the game, but some reviewers mention how four levels doesn't feel like enough content. We understand this issue is the game's biggest weakness, and frankly, we feel like it's a good problem to have. In the end, however, we knew we had to address it. In mid-April 2017, we started by putting together a small group, some from the original team and some new members, and we set out to make a new level. Narrowing down our ideas from the initial brainstorms took some time. We wanted to find a setting that felt new and exciting, and allowed us to experiment with some interactions we didn't get to try the first time around. Fast forward through four months and countless playtests and here we are, squashing the final bugs and getting builds ready for certification

Thank god. Would've been unhappy but still willing to pay, such a fantastic game but short.
