They did sort it out. It’s not compatible.Well in that case no thanks until they sort it out.

I’ve streamed VR games via WiFi and had zero issues. That’s how I played and beat Asgard’s Wrath, Rick & Morty VR and Half Life Alyx, on my quest 2.Wifi is too laggy for any gameplay but I do see it possible that someone will hack it to work with a phone at some point
Not always. See Boneworks/Bonelab.Why are the hands/arms always disembodied? Forgive a layman's silly question.
You spend $1000+ a month on groceries? That's a half month worth of groceries for me. Can't justify it.
Indie VR is what you should expect, period.Man those shovelware launch titles.
When I played PSVR Worlds I'd say that the shooting part was very compelling with moves, i don't know why you didn't used the motion controllers for this one. Basically after the shooting part the game didn't require a controller at all.If Sony doesn't sell an adapter themselves, at the very least someone would need to make it work with a "reverse" USB-C -> USB3 + DisplayPort adapter, and those will take a while to appear because AFAIK they don't even exist in the market.
Otherwise I guess the headset can only be used by the owners of reference 6800XT/6900XT and/or future 7900XT GPUs (i.e. GPUs with USB-C outputs).
I'd actually be okay with that because I own a 6900XT, but I doubt the owners of reference Navi 21 cards present a critical mass for PC adoption.
On my PSVR I played Astro Bot, Battlezone, Bound, Driveclub, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (way too many hours with friends & wife on this one), PSVR Worlds, Resident Evil VII and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
I only used my Move controllers on that last one.
People in here complaining about the price, but apparently have a gymnasium for a living room/game room/bedroom.
Of course they will then place the blame on consumers for lack of games because few people bought it early on. For some reason they don't understand that games sell the device but they should considering how their Playstation console lives and dies by this philosophy.classic Sony....make something too expensive so nobody will buy it. Then they will stop making games after a year or two like always.
This thing will be price cut DEEP 1 year after launch. no doubt
I wonder if it will look better on the PSVR2 than the Quest 2. I’ve been on the fence with getting it. The reviews are kind of all over the place, and it seems like it’s not the “whole” game. For those of us already well acquainted with VR and the technologies that drive it, it's a premium spec piece of kit at a great price.
For those laypeople in the wider market, it's bloody expensive.
And for me, it's an insta-buy for Cities VR alone. Fucking love city-builder games!
They didn't use the exchange rate to price that fucker, they never doYep. Shitty exchange rate plus tax.
PSVR1 full kit, cam and controllers was around the same price and PSVR2 is a massive improvement over that tech. This headset is the standard other headsets should aim for from now on imo.I personally think they’ve priced themselves out of the market with this price. Time will tell however. No way I could justify a dualsense edge and a PSVR2 so close together. I’m sure this will be unbelievable but I have so many normal games to play in my backlog I can probably wait for a price drop on this. I’m sure call of the mountain will be phenomenal.
I make decent money but Sony are pricing out the causal market big time with this. Maybe that’s the allure they’re going for. The “Apple” of gaming if you will.
5 million is abysmally small for any “platform” that requires expensive dev support. Don’t expect healthy software ecosystem at those numbers. Vita had 20 million users and was considered a failure.Sony was happy with over 5 million sold of PSVR (and this was announced back in 2020). So much so they have a PSVR2 coming out.
Some people are jumping through mental hoops with talking about other headsets that don't work on their platform.
Wait, what the fuck? You can’t watch VR porn on the PS5? That’s like, at least 33% of the reason to have VR.Wait…
So because PS are so scared of Game Pass you won’t even be able to watch VR porn on this thing because there is no PS5 browser?
Phil Spencer out here blue ballin’ the PS crew and devaluing their hardware.
RE8 doesn’t.Just saw the game trailers. Uggh everything still has like ps2 lvl of graphic details.
That is not true at all. I had a price in mind and they actually came in $50 less. If they were over it I would move on and wait for a price drop. I know many other people are in the same boat. So does Sony. They might as well have charged $1000 for it when you think about it. The people that want it will pay whatever, and those on the fence or not interested would still say "it's too much" either way.
This is why I think Nintendo is the only company that could bring VR to the mass market. The art style and toaster-specs their games use lend themselves perfectly to the lower power of wireless headsets. AstroBot is amazing, but nothing would top stepping into the Mushroom Kingdom or Hyrule.Just saw the game trailers. Uggh everything still has like ps2 lvl of graphic details.
I wear glasses. For the Quest 2, I use the included glasses spacer, as well as these rubber ring things to go around the VR lenses. The rings prevent my glasses frame from touching/scratching the lenses. How many of you guys who are getting this wear glasses? Registered to pre-order but have never tried vr and I wear glasses for moderate myopia/very mild presbyopia. Don't use contacts. Is wearing glasses going to be a problem?
I’d expect it to do at least as well as the 32x for the Genesis.$550?! Dead on arrival. It can't cost more than the PS5 to be successful.
With inflation it's actually cheaper than the original. $400 in 2016 is the equivalent to $495 today and you needed to buy a camera for $60! It just was the headset.
I’m in day one
Edit: I’m out after reading the price!!! more expensive than an actual PS5, I’m expecting this to be a premium unit though and from the specs it sounds like it will be, but bloody hell that’s expensive in these times of recession.
I wear glasses, it makes it less comfortable and makes taking the headset off and on kind of a pain (my glasses usually get 'stuck' in the headset, but it is not a deal breaker by any means. How many of you guys who are getting this wear glasses? Registered to pre-order but have never tried vr and I wear glasses for moderate myopia/very mild presbyopia. Don't use contacts. Is wearing glasses going to be a problem?
Indies carry VR. It’s been this way for quite some time now.5 million is abysmally small for any “platform” that requires expensive dev support. Don’t expect healthy software ecosystem at those numbers. Vita had 20 million users and was considered a failure.
