So: I'm about to start Moon, but I really want both Popplio AND Rowlet. Depending on which one I decide to start with, would anybody be willing to trade me a baby of the other one? It's just for in game, so IVs and Nature honestly don't matter. I'll only have early game Pokémon, so probably nothing great to offer.

Just watched episode 11 of the Sun and Moon animé, a pretty boring episode as nothing really happens and we never get to see Ash battle against Kiawe.
I will probably end up dropping it soon if future episode are like that.

Every time someone asks about Bank Gamefreak delays it another week.
Been cancelled and the they are doing a total reboot with the gen 7 Pokémon, which is why they didn't include the national dex in Sun and Moon.
Not a serous post, Bank will probably be out next week.

Does anyone still need a Genesect for XY/ORAS? I work at a gamestop, and recently we were cleaning out some stuff we no longer needed. It turned out that we still had three packs of Genesect code cards. I asked if I could take them, and well... basically I have around 130 Genesects. If anyone still needs a code, just let me know and I'll send you one. These codes expire in a month and there's plenty of them to go around, so definitely feel free to take advantage of this.

Two things that were discovered regarding Bank/Transporter. There's room for 7 game IDs for the Gameboy icon for Pokemon transferred from VC, which could possibly indicate Gen 2 on VC, or they could be placeholders in case they want to release them in the future.
The second is that another mark has been found. Maybe transferring Pokemon from Go will become a thing?
Edit: Here's a summary of the IDs. It may not mean much, but there's another pair of Alola IDs. I know Stars is rumoured to be Switch exclusive, but a lot of the finer details in Switch leaks have been sketchy, so maybe it'll be cross-platform?

I was recently considering getting Pokemon Bank and porting all my pokemon from Gen 3 there to be ready for the Gen 7 bank update, but unfortunately I can't seem to find my copy of Diamond. That's a lot of great stuff missing, goddamn it. Does Gen 5 have the ability to import your GBA pokemon, or was it only Gen 4 that had that? Because if that's the case, then well... yeah. Looks like I might need to try and get another copy of Diamond.

You would be better off getting a copy of the Johto remake as the Sinnoh remake had the nonsense of making you wait a full 24 hours after transferring 6 Pokémon, this was removed in the Johto remake.
Can you have more than one distribution code Genesect? I already obtained one last November and I'm curious if it's possible to get another one.

It's only one per game cart. So, if you have another Gen 6 game I could send you a code. If you've only got the cart you already redeemed a code on, unfortunately it'd be useless for you.

I know that the numbers in the upper left are "Caught/Seen" but is there a way to show a Pokeball on the right circle, if yes how do i do it? If not, it really bothers me lol
Watched episode 12 of the Sun and Moon animé, it was funny to see Team Rocket get excited in defeating Ash only for it to be cruelly taken away by Beware.
Anyway after seeing the preview for next week episode and how nothing of note seems to be happening within the animé, heck Ash still hasn't left Mele Mele island, I am just bailing out.
I guess that's what happens when you get rid of Gyms, it makes the animé boring...then again the X and Y had gym and the animé was also boring to watch.
And yet he can't defeat Charizard. ;p

The only way it doesn't work is if you try to redeem multiple codes for the same pokemon on one file.

Looks like Lightningboalt has everyone covered, but I also have a spare Genesect code which I was hoping to trade for any of mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Yveltal, Diancie, Hoopa, or Volcanion...
I just started playing Pokemon Moon just so I can play along with my daughter. Its early in the game but it keep piling system upon system, and I'm hoping I can just ignore a bunch of them and keep it simple.
What do I need to pay attention to, and what can I safely ignore? Not looking to 100% the game, just go through the story and have fun, and have a few fun pokemon to battle with my daughter (and lose)

You don't need to worry about EVs/IVs for story mode at *all* so you can safely ignore those. Natures are a bit more important, but also not enough that they will significantly impact story mode. Just try to pay attention to how much damage your moves can do, as well as trying to have a "coverage move" for potential bad matchups.
Also be aware of "STAB" (Same Type Attack Bonus). Moves will get a 50% power bonus if the user is the same type.
Basically any thing that isn't based around catching and battling is optional in pokémon.
Pokéfinder is entirely optional, Festival Plaza is only needed for multiplayer things, Poképelago is helpful but not necessary, Pokérefresh I would recommend using but its only needed if you want to evolve Eevee into Sylveon. Double Battles will occur occasionally but you don't really need to know the details. Battle Royale's turn up exactly once.
Out of the new mechanics, only SOS battles are unavoidable, but the game never actually explains that to you anyway.

There's only two more valid identifiers for Gen 7 left, so it's possible. While I hope they do, Sinnoh map is really full of twists and turns and that might not work with SM's engine.

Question is, if they do do remakes do we get dp's more branching map exploration or plat's more railroaded path? For the many many improvements platinum brought, it was also the start of game freaks "can't let players get lost, ever" mentality.
Honestly the Kanto references are just referring to the fact that Sun and Moon released during the series 20th anniversary and not a hint of it getting a gen 1 remake.
Plus Gen 4 just turned 10 last year and is next in line for the remake treatment.

So did everyone else, but for some reason Game Freak chose to omit Emerald features in the Hoenn remake.
Yeah, I love Sinnoh and would love it to get a remake but after seeing how Game Freak went out of their way to ensure that players would stay on the correct path in the Hoenn remake I worry that Sinnoh would be butchered as it was the Region that made them go down the rabbit hole of being heavy with the hand holding.
Sun and Moon never once let the players explore or really have them zipping back and forth within the Alola region, heck Kalos at least did that.
A remake doesn't get in the way of of new games existing, plus Sinnoh deserve the remake treatment due to the original game being slow.
Current Game Freak will strip out the complex dungeon, block areas until the players have defeated the gym leaders, drag them across the map and prevent them from exploring, no Battle frontier and Platinum feature to be dropped with Giratina being shoved post game akin to Delta episode.
Basically I expect them to suck out the charm of the Sinnoh region.
Yeah, but when the games get stuff that are exclusive to the remakes and not compatible with the older games, it fractures the community.
