Yeah I mainly just watch those youtube channels with VGC matches, and some competitor's channels from time to time.
EDIT: OOOH ! I forgot one that is new and it is really, really good: False Swipe Gaming. Their videos are about the history of pokemon battling, covering for example how has Moltres been used in the different competitive formats, from Gen 1 Nintendo Cup until Smogon's and VGC in Gen 6.
Really good content there.

aDrive is a pretty good channel to watch for singles and VGC stuff. He's also seems to be a pretty positive person.
HoodlumScrafty and Duncan kneecap are cool too but I don't watch theirs as much. I use to watch Shady Penguin all the time but he didn't want to be a positive person all the time and had arguements or some shit with his subscribers and I stop watching his channel.

I'm surprised you can watch Verlisify for any length of time and think he's anything but one of the worst excuses for a human being on the web. Being a nazi was one of the least surprising things to happen.

I thought it wouldn't. It also makes me wonder why people are demanding an arm and a leg for one.
Mix between version exclusivity and a low encounter rate, I imagine.

I've gotten Type: Null's and Silvally's for a level 1 Weedle which then I put back on the GTS for spare legendaries. It always comes down to what's in demand and yes, it doesn't make any sense. I just take advantage of whatever is going on when I notice it.
Well it is pretty old.
Rule of thumb for GTS, offer a Pokémon for Drampa and Celesteela and someone will bite.
Though I haven't used the GTS since...gen 4. :O
That's ageism, Drampa can breed with a little help from PokéViagra.

So an unused encounter was found in DPt recently. I'm glad that even Game Freak was like "You know what, maybe we shouldn't make an event Pokemon roam." I guess this does make sense as to why Cresselia randomly roams now, both of the duo were going to do it.

That feeling when you type up a really long post telling a story and explaining something and you hit the post tab and scroll down the thread only to see that a mod locked the thread while you were typing up your long post and you realize that your long post is now in a digital trash can never to be seen by anyone.
I got a Drampa, because I was able to get a spare Torkunator in time fast enough to get one.
Celesteela is a bit trickier, unfortunately.

Speaking of Gen 4 event, I really wish that they released the Azure Flute rather than giving away free Arceus.
I wonder if they chickened out due to the religious tone of the event as I do not buy Masuda reasoning that it would be "too confusing for players to use"

I'm watching that episode where the Stoutland dies with my oldest daughter. At the scene where Stoutland dies and the music is playing I hear a weird muffle sound and I look over and she's a emotional wreck. Tears falling and snout everywhere so I pause it tell tell her to get some napkins. At this time she's pissed. She's talking loudly saying the people who made this are stupid! Who puts this in a kids show anyway!?!?! It's like they want to lose their kids rating! Oh, now Pokémon can die!?!?! She says alittle more while blowing her nose. It was cute and funny. I talk her down and we watch another episode and she randomly shouts "I'm never watching that episode again!"

EDIT - After catching the 4 Totems, I need Celesteela, (2 of 3 of Cosmog, Cosmoem, Lunala) and Marshadow to complete my living dex with all of the Alola forms
So after completing my living Gen 1-7 dex in Sun and Moon I've decided to move onto a similar challenge (I only actually needed Gen 7 for it to be complete and I was pretty good about getting Pokémon as I went in Sun) and one I've never done. A complete living Pokédex for the VC games! I've completed the Pokédex in Gen one maybe half a dozen times before but never living, and most of the time back then I had access to Pokémon Stadium, which not only makes it faster because you can speed up battles but also you can get copies of all the non legendary unique Pokémon! Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Eevee, Kabuto, and Omanyte.
So I've got all three copies of the VC games, spread over two 3DS so I can trade. Getting the nine starters is boring but easy, plenty of people with two gameboys and both games did it so they can have one of each in two games, and then you just need to do it three more times. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan is not a problem either because three games, two Pokémon. If you're willing to use the missigno glitch you can also do the fossils with only two games because you can dupe them while they are still items. There is, however, no avoiding playing through the game four times to get all the eevees you need. In Japan you could get the fourth copy but for me it means playing one game twice at least up through Celadon...so I'm speedrunning Yellow right now.
I've already done the glitch to obtain a level 100 Gengar (then I repeated it for a level 100 Nidoking, who is frankly less annoying early on.) and now I've traded over pokemon with all the necessary HM moves so I don't have to pick any of those up, though I forgot to do anything about Flash. But I know that cave by heart anyways.

I don't know why you wouldn't believe it since they've pretty much stuck to that philosophy outside of Victini which they probably already put into B/W by the time they formed that policy. Also since the HGSS Arceus event is a thing.
I mean aren't a chunk of events in Japan are based around festivals and similar celebrations that would just seem random and out of nowhere everywhere else? I do think they need to stop with these shitty GameStop giveaways but outside of that...

Speedrunning Yellow is pretty fun.
Now I'm going to go through it again meticulously as it's on the same 3DS as the file with almost complete living dex, so I'm going to go through gen 1 one more time catching everything I reasonably can and then filling in the holes.
At the end of this I expect to have the completed dex in all three games and a living dex ready to trade up to gold.

Found out I had a co-worker who loves pokemon, so it got me back into my backlog and playing Moon through.
It's so good bringing my old team from gen 4 into the game and just having a blast. Now to make my bank living dex to include gen 7

After not playing Gen 5 since the day the 3DS came out and getting to the 2nd gym and quitting I finally picked it up since I'm playing through the series and I'm liking it quite a lot. Not sure why I slept on it so long. I'm on my way to Victory Road now. After this game it's time to finish the series up with Gen 1. Question is do I go Red or Yellow?

Lol trading for all the legendaries, Tapus and UBs was so easy. I haven't beaten Moon yet (SR and will now just RNG Lunala really) because I took a long sabbatical from Pokemon. But I was able to nab all with extras just by trading farmed DR legendaries. Which reminds me I have to go farm some again.
I haven't even traded any of my 6IV Dittos yet in Gen 7. Lol

Recently played in the No Holds Barred Wi-Fi tournament. Was a great change of pace from the normal Pokemon sets but wow is Marshadow some BS.
Definitely think it might be time to unban a few mythicals in regular play. Mew, Celebi, Phione (lol), Meloetta, etc. really aren't too strong and probably wouldn't end up too high in the rankings. Just as long as everyone on my team stays banned.

So a question to anyone that has tried to complete the trainer passport stamps..
currently taking the multi battle tree challenge and defeated 20 trainers, and have now unlocked super multi battle.. to get the stamp do I need to move on to super multi battle or can I do the standard multi battle again? Its apparently a streak of 50 needed?

Dream World event Arceus. You encounter it in battle, it has your OT, you can name it.
There's no story, you effectively have a free masterball and its not remotely exciting, but it's there.

Believe that was that poll where everyone was trying to get Ditto to win so we could get Impostor finally. Too many people wanted Arceus, but Ditto managed to make Top 3 or 5 on the poll because of this.
There was some serious internet drama over that poll.

I hope you have every version of a form change (ex: Shaymin and Sky Forme Shaymin), every Unown letter, every Minior color, both colors of Basculin and Shellos, all Wormadam cloaks, male and female versions of Pokemon with gender differences (such as the tails for Pikachu), all Sawsbuck seasons, all Vivillion patterns, all Gourgeist sizes, plus many other differences. If not, you don't have a REAL living Pokedex.
Better get back to work.

Wow. Having a bank full of extra pokemon from previous generations literally give you almost free trading of anything in Sun/Moon
TPC needs a 10,000 Pokemon Bank limit for that.
