Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Gym battles with bad servers absolutely suck. I beat the brakes of an Oddish only for his attacks to keep landing cause he had 1hp left. Worst part is they gave me the L and my Pokemon got knocked out. More wasted resources.
Same here. I lost twice because lag made my dodges seem random.

I didn't even get the steps counted for my eggs on the walk back home. :(

Kicking little kids asses in the park and feeling no shame.

This gym is MINE >:(

The server issues that I had earlier don't bother me quite as much since I just caught an eevee while laying in bed.
I just hope they find a fix for the servers soon. Not knowing whether I can play or not is bothering. I don't walk for fun! I walk to find Pokemon!

I don't think I've ever loved my job more than I do today. Not only is it a Pokemon Center that resets every 15 minutes, it also attracts about 2-3 new Pokemon in that time frame. I've caught 10 Pokemon in the last hour... Love it.

Reached level 5 and caught a high CP Pokemon, allowing me to take over a nearby gym. I wasted so many Pokeballs on Fearow because I couldn't hit the circle correcty. At least I have a couple Pokestops nearby. Now I just need to evolve my Eevee.

Important question:

When you evolve Evee does it let you choose which evolution you want her to go to, or are there element stones in this?

I want Abra but no luck around me so far.

Where u get that jynx math

I got back in for a bit, all the karp in my canal have dried up for the moment though XD
Are people finding Pikachu to be rare? I found one last night in my first 5 Pokemon.
never seen one.
My little sister asked me to go catch Pokemon with her. She doesn't even play Pokemon, crazy.

Went for a 30min walk with some incense. Didn't catch anything noteworthy.. did run into an Eevee but the game crashed when I caught it so it didn't register, lost it :I. Game kept freezing up as well. Hope these bugs get fixed sometime soon, actually enjoying this.
I feel that if the servers were rock solid this would be pretty goddamned fun. I would try and round up a few people I could probably talk into it, and go try and stir something up at this spot between two gyms with a bunch of stops. Maybe split the cost of however many thingycoins you need to get some lures and see if anyone showed up.

As it is I'm waiting to even see if my nephew has checked this out yet, he got really into Pokemon even though he was -18 when I was playing Blue, and he just got his first smartphone.

Im catching a lot of low CP Pokemon. How do I change that? By leveling my character?
I catch a lot of Pokemon but my level is crawling. How are people so high? They've been playing longer or something?

There's this stupid Raticate that's in an enemy Gym, and when I try to defeat it, I can get it down to 1 hp and it doesn't die. Blasting it with everything I have . Is that a symptom of the server issues?

Took my second walk of the day, caught 5 more pokemon, including two flying ones which gave me a ton of trouble. One of them, my coworker nailed first try with a pokeball for me; I was thoroughly impressed. She is now going to download the game.

There's 2 Gyms near my work that i'll pass by daily, but I'm still too low level to try to fight anyone there.

Finally got the PokeStop things to work too, got a bunch of extra pokeballs. There's one that refreshes quickly within tapping distance of my seat at work. Aw yea!

Damn this game is addicting. I need to look up how to level up and evolve my pokemon next, I want to have something good for when I can try to fight at the gyms.

This server stuff has hardly been an issue for me. When they go down, it takes me two force stops max for me to be reconnected again, so it hasn't really ruined a run for me yet.

how do i put eggs in incubator?

btw my local poke stop is my front door haha, i share a wall with the local park, and our gym is on my street. Will be laziest GO player ever, im in uk and dodged bullets to get GO, i have a headstart :p

I really hate the "differences" from regular pokemon. I dont mind that normal catching is done by just chucking a pokeball at a pokemon, but

  • Battle system should be turn based. I was caught off guard my first battle, tap to kill is no fun
  • 4 moves would be nice
  • Multiple pokemon per fight
  • Wish evolving and powering up was done thru battle

So they're pausing international rollout of this game now? Like come on, how different would it be to release it in Canada when they released it in the US? Literally everything is released simultaneously between us, why not follow suit :(

The game is barely playable right now, opening it up to other countries before they have that fixed would just piss people off more.

Gave this game another shot now that I'm back home. Wild grass appeared in front of one of my neighbors home. By the time I got there, it wasn't there anymore. Wait a while and it shows up again, but I can't click on it. Start pacing back and forth trying to get it to work properly. I look up and notice that the owner of the house is looking at me through the blinds with a cellphone in her hand.

I don't think playing Pokemon Go in my neighborhood is a good idea. Only two spots showed up, the one I mentioned and another one in one of my neighbors backyard. Maybe this is better if you live in a city or something.

Defeat the purpose of exploration. People would only hang out at gyms to evolve their team.

Ok, so far this game is great. This a more true introduction to the concept of virtual reality than VR headsets IMO. I hope they continue to grow and evolve the game, and address the various issues.

Anyway.. this is probably not gonna work, but can I run the app and lock my phone screen and have it continue to run in the background? Or do I need to keep the screen on for the game to run?

Your level definitely impacts it

Well you get XP especially for getting pokemon you haven't collected before, evolving pokemon (even if you already have the evolved one, but bonus if you don't), pokestops, and any gym interaction. If you're catching a lot, I bet you can at least evolve some Pidgeys and Rattatas. There are items for the microtransactiony coins that you can get that also speed your leveling. If you have a pokemon in a gym you get a daily bonus including some of those coins so you can get them without actually spending cash.

I'm only level 7.5 though, although I'd be quite a bit higher without a few full trips discarded to server issues. I'm sure some people have already played a zillion hours (and/or spend a zillion money) to get waaaay higher.

I have like 5.
When i met that eeve i have like 20 balls. But when i try like a normal throw it doesn't work. So i try to do the spin throw thing. The eeve litterally jump around when i try to spin throw. It repeat untill im out of balls.

That sucks, what's the spinning throw?
