Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Has anyone figured out if XL or XS Pokemon result in different max HP? I've caught two Pokemon that were similar in CP but with like 2-3 difference in HP and the only difference was their size.

No thats your trainer name its asking for. You can name your poke anything you want.

The color of the ring determines ho difficult the Pokemon will be to catch. From easiest to hardest it goes Green > Yellow > Orange > Red.

The circle determines how much bonus EXP you'll get for your catch if your pokeball lands inside it. the smaller the circle the more EXP you'll get.

Just got hit by this today. Someone snagged the 2 gyms near my apt between Midnight and 8am EST but when I attempt to take them back i get the 1HP glitch. Damn. Team Yellow will rise again!!

I'm jealous, since that's one of my favorite Kanto Pokemon. I got an Eevee in my bedroom this morning. I threw like 4 Pokeballs at it and it wouldn't stay in, and then it ran away.
 
Sooo how does this really work, is it certain areas spawn junk pokes with a "decent" poke spawn point thrown in that refreshes? I've had a Pinsir in my parking lot twice yesterday and an Electabuzz appear in my house. But mostly its just junk pokes over and over.
 
Can somebody please try this and see if it works. Use internet sharing with your tablet or phone and see if that device can use Pokemon go.

I was trying with the NVIDIA shield portable but it wont load the GPS for some reason.

Would really appreciate it as I'm thinking of buying an unlocked phone or shield k1 and use internet sharing for GPS outside my house

Is your friend near a creek? I have one near my house and as soon as I drive over it, Magikarp, Tentacruel, Goldeens, Psyducks pop up. Staryu and Horsea will spill into my house on ocassion as well.
 
Woke up, turned it on and goddamn Ivysaur right next to me. Red ringed bastard took 50 balls before running away.

Tried a gym battle and wasn't sure wtf I was supposed to do and lost. Tried again and lost. Sometimes I'm already dead and my hp bar is still there half full, lol. Not sure how evading attacks is anything but luck.

Can I ignore this part and just catch pokemanz?
 
Using lure to lure people seems to work well, nice way to make new friends :D

So here I am at Gray's Lake in Des Moines walking around, catching Pokemon, hitting up pokespots. Overall a decent time. I'm walking up to one pokespot and there's two guys there with their phones out. My anxiety piqued and I got nervous about interacting with strangers. Thankfully they saw me and walked away. I sat at a bench next to the Gray's Lake map (which was the pokespot) and thought "fuck it, I'll throw down a lure module and just sit here and catch Pokemon for thirty minutes."

So I'm sitting there with the lure module going and enjoying myself for about two minutes... Then the guys who were previously at the spot returned. They asked me if I set up the module and I'm like "I sure did." My nerves were firing, butterfrees were in my stomach. And they were like "cool!" And started talking with me. I was actually enjoying myself with these two guys.

So there we were. I asked them "What team are you guys?"

They sighed and said "Instinct"

I blurted out "What! Me too!" We high fives and continued talking and catching. More people started showing up asking about who laid down the module. I raised my hand and they were like "cool. Thanks man" pretty cool group of people for mystic and valor scum.

My favorite part had to have been someone yelling from their car "Who's FatPartyAnimal?" And I simply responded "I am!" And they were like "thanks bro!"

By the end of it there were almost twenty people around all chatting and my anxiety wasn't affected in the least bit. I actually enjoyed myself with a group of people that I don't know.

Guys... I really love this game.

I went to go visit a friend in the Boston, and while in Somerville we saw that there were 4 Pokestops nearby that were right next to each other and all had a lure on them.

As we walked up to the area, there were about 50 people standing around a little square/park area. It was pretty crazy. Pokemon were popping up so quickly. There were a billion Drowzees, so now I have a max CP Hypno.

Sure. All capturing gyms does is give you gold (the currency you pay for).
 
90% of the pokeballs I threw this morning just endlessly stood on the ground. Really fucking annoying to have to reboot the app every single time that happens.
Especially when you don't know if you caught it or not so you have to stay in the vicinity in case you need to attempt it again.

Honestly, this is probably the worst online game launch I've ever experienced in terms of stability. They're really fortunate this is Pokemon or else this game would've garnered a far more negative reputation.

I am absolutely sure I got an egg (two, actually) from a PokeStop but u can't find it anywhere! Nor can I use the egg incubator?? What do I do?

Yep, I absolutely hate numbers in my name. I cringe when I see them in U4 multiplayer.

But poor cops, they must been facepalming lately with all the people going out after midnight to catch pokemons XD

I caught 24 Pokemon on my 4 km trip home from work. Granted, I did use an incense. That's still a crazy amount! Mostly Rattatas, Pudgeys, Weedles and Spearow though. Did get two new Pokemon though: Drowzee and Zubat
 
Is there a way to understand the differences between the pokemon you catch?

Like should I just level whichever has the highest CP or is there more to it?

The servers have been awful for me lately and either don't populate things or say server is down. I think you just have to wait and try again in a little bit.

Ended up getting stopped at the local park last night at like 1 AM or so. Didn't realize that the park was closed but there were 3 pokestops in it so we drove around and hit them all. Halfway through, three cop cars were just sitting and they were out chatting. Once we got the flashlight in our rear view mirror we decided it would be better to turn around and let them talk to us. Cop walked up and asked us if we were okay and what we were doing and I go "This might sound hilarious, but we're playing a game on the phone" and the cop goes "Dude, Pokemon GO?? I've been playing that shit all night!" He sounded so excited. Advised us to head out because the park was closed, but I know damn well he was farming those Pokestops.

This game needs some off-limit areas, like highways and private property...and volcanoes.

Also, you should be able to look up certain locations than the ones in your immediate viewing area to find Pokespots and Gyms.

I've been trying to do some research about it, but I hear all kind of different stuff about it.
There's a Pokémon gym nearby and it had a cp 12 Pokémon owning it which I can easily beat with most of mine but I'm scared lol.

Apparently you go into a battle and when the enemy's Pokémon gets to 1hp, you can't get it to 0, is that right?
Will that happen to every gym you try or just that one?

Does it mess up your own Pokémon?
 
Can you use Google rewards for the In app purchases? I made sure I'm logged into the same google account, but it only shows my credit card as payment option
