Also, my Eevee made a ridiculous jump in CP when it evolved into Vaporeon, going from 215 to 595 instantly
 
I just noticed someone drop a lure by the pokestops at the park near me. Phone is recharged. Time to go hunt and reclaim the gym I lost

I kind of like that it's not explained. There's so much learning and exploring in this...

Plus I want to stomp on newbs.
 
So mad the release on more countries got delayed because of the server issues. Now who knows when it'll launch in Mexico :'(
 
Every single gym I try to train or attack bugs out, and I'm not spamming taps so that "fix" clearly isn't the fix. Really frustrating 😕

I've decided to wait on gyms. I might challenge the one nearest to me once a day to get my free ten coins but otherwise, until they fix that glitch, it's a waste of time, revives and potions.
 
So my Huaweii doesn't have a Gyroscope so I can't play with AR...fuck

Now heres a thing, why is my Pokedex only showing my starter? No matter what I click I only get my starter's pokemon page
 
I have walked around my neighborhood for 2 miles and haven't seen any wild pokemon. Found 3 gyms around and some pokemon stops where I got pokeballs from but no pokemon. Is this just my neighborhood lacking pokemon? Do I need to be around places with busy traffic? Is there a problem with the servers or app? I'm lost.

Your Pokedex only goes up to the highest Pokemon you caught. If you only have your starter then it will only show your starter.

I can't see any from my apartment either, even zoomed out, but there are a ton near me. Are you in a very rural area? If not, go to the closest place where there's some "stuff" and see!

The ones you like. Of a variety of types, if you have that option.

CP is really all that matters. There's never going to be a skill-based competitive meta for this game, it really doesn't suit it.

I wanna say servers. Like even when the app works and shows pokemon on the field I've had issues which I'm guessing are server related. Like whenever I got to the gym for my workout I see a sandshrew and geodude and when I click on them it goes into capturing mode but there's no pokemon in sight.
 
I've already seen a few people out and about where you can clearly see they are walking around trying to find Pokemon. Pretty amazing how far reaching this game is.

Still wondering if I should evolve my Metapod or wait for a Butterfree to show up, that 600 xp is not something I want to risk.
 
Gyms are making me lose motivation to play this. I'll take like 8 gyms before I go to bed and find my 800 flareon and my friends 799 vaporeon replace with a 10 weedle and a 250 nidoran. This is bs.
 
It's killing me that there are still unclaimed gyms on my hometown but because the servers were busted for almost two days I'm not level 5 and can't claim them.

Anyway the app is way too much of a battery drain unfortunately. I'll probably be dumping it by the end of the weekend.

It's really weird. Saw it while I was riding in the car scoping spots so I dunno where that was. Seems like trying to go after super powered Pokemon, even ones like this nearby is a farce at this point and a waste of balls.

Is this something that happens with powerful Pokemon? I fought a Pigeotto over by my library that's not super powered (around 120 CP) and the balls I was throwing were flying way off to the side around it. It wasn't the curveball either.
 
This has probably already been answered, but is Eevee's evolution entirely random?

I evolved one and it wen to Flareon, but with no stones, does it just pick between the 3?
 
So, my gyms are controlled by another team and way out of my level range. Should I just keep catching Pokemon, and leveling up until I'm within range..? Or is there a benefit in challenging them despite the fact I clearly won't win.

I'm just trying to figure out the right approach for this game.. I wish I would run into more wild Pokemon in my area..
 
I really hope they'll add actual pvp at some point, such a missed opportunity :/

Right when I head out to play SMH. Luckily living in a college town I have tons of Poke stops nearby. Hell even my apartment is one lmao

My iPhone 6S+ doesn't work with AR either, inexplicably. I've gotten the "cannot detect phone orientation" message since launch.

Mildly infuriating TBH. The AR stuff is unnnecessary but awesome.
 
This is literally getting so many people outside in my neighborhood, it's crazy.

Had some gym fights with a few guys at a local park (lost miserably), then took part in a lure stop a couple blocks away.

Ended up walking about 5 miles before I even knew it. :|
