Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Speaking as someone who hasn't got this game and is only a casual observer, doesn't this game drain your data by having to stay connected to the internet all the time?

My brother and I just journeyed to about four Pokemon gyms and proudly defeated them, only find we couldn't actually win due to the 1hp bug. Devastating.

But I want to hunt Pokemon!

Wait, what are spins and berries? I caught a random 300something Scyther yesterday and had no issue.

Razz Berries are something you start getting at I think level 8? You feed them to pokemon and there's a better chance you catch them on your next throw.

To spin the pokeball just drag your pokeball in a circle for a bit before you throw it and it's like throwing a curveball in baseball. Gives you a little bonus exp if you catch a pokemon.

Ah okay cool, I'm still level six.

Man, just took out to gyms my girfriend, her sister and a friend of her's couldn't take.
They all had WAY better pokemons than me but I dodged my way to victory.

I went and lecture them about how you must trust in your pokemons and finally understood why Ash wouldn't evolve his pikachu.

I feel like a champ.

Does your guy just move around randomly on the screen? What's the point of tapping the screen and having the little circle appear if he doesn't move in that direction?

Went for a bike ride today, first five miles registered at like 0.5km and I had 2km left. When I finished my ride 7 miles later it had hatched. So some moderate success biking and hatching. Averaged 12mph and never really dipped below 10mph.

I wish it would automatically start incubating the next egg, seems like an easy concept to put in there.

Let's say I'm attacking a gym that's level 5 and I only defeat the first one or two Pokemon and then get defeated.

Have I lowered the gyms prestige any? Or do you have to defeat every single one?

Similar question for a gym that is your own color, am I helping by fighting there and not defeating every Pokemon?

...the reason why the map looks like the real world is because you move by physically walking.

He moves in place probably because you are indoors and your GPS is having trouble.

Is there anyone able to make the Instinct/Mystic/Valor icons to put on our GAF's avatars?

It would be pretty cool to have 'em

I would like to know this too.

I just downloaded this game and decided I wanted pikachu starter. I'm sitting in my room and the next pokemon that appears is a pikachu. Now I have two. I should've picked squirtle!!

They weren't kidding about there being a lot of Pokemon at Walmart. There was six just on the sales floor. The McDonald's inside of it has two giant Murals on the wall and counts as a PokeShop.

Guess where I ate at today? lol.

Should have taken a picture but I am confused about pokestops. Only went to one, it had a module, but I couldn't take it. It said I needed more modules. There was nothing else. Can someone explain the pokestops to me or is this just one that doesn't have anything yet?

So I went to Walmart, cause it's obviously raining now. And I also wanted to see if it was true about it being a Pokemon farm. As soon as I got in the parking lot I shit you not 10 Pokemon popped up.

Anyone else stuck here every time they go to a gym, with nothing loading? I'm level ten and have gone to about as many gyms and I can't figure out how to get past this screen.

Man, I wish I didn't live in the suburbs. I walked 4 miles last night, and didn't come across a single PokeStop or Gym.

I guess this game is dead for me :(
