Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

They have to add a feature to take AR photos with your Pokemon after capturing them.
I'd love this.
My wife accidentally purchased $20 of coins in app. We immediately asked Google for a refund and they gave us one. The problem is the coins were left in her account. A couple days later she ran out of balls and used the coins to buy more balls. So I'm really hoping she doesn't get a ban or anything. She says she feels really dirty for having done that, but we had been hunting down a Vulpix and finally found it and she was out of balls.
Vulpix takes precedence over morals.

So, if I've got a 208 CP Ivysaur and a 142 CP Bulbasaur, which is better to keep? My intuition is the bulbasaur, because once I (eventually) evolve it, I'll get a much stronger Ivysaur. Worth it?

I ran out of Pokeballs! >:(

I kept throwing my Pokeballs like usual but they kept curving right. It mad no sense. So I moved the Pokeballs to the left of the screen before throwing it and they landed just right of the Pokémon I was trying to catch. It made no sense and I was confused. 20 Pokeballs curved right so much that I couldn't even see them land.

I'm so close to reaching level 9 too. I live in a rural area and no in a mood to drive a mile to the nearest Pokestop. I'm so annoyed.

Also wild Pokémon in my area took a nose dive compare to the past 3 days.

The Ivysaur. CP is capped, eventually, by your trainer level, regardless of any differences when you catch a 'mon. The only thing that really matters is moveset, which is not changeable, and is set randomly on evolution, so you want whatever you can evolve to the final stage fastest so as not to waste candies on Pokemon that turn out to have bad movesets.

So I was at work today, looking for PokéStops and I happened to spot this one:

Not sure how I feel about it.

This same thing just happened to me. One that was going to land was headbutted by the Zubat. I got lucky later when it finally managed to hit.

The pokeball shined like a curveball usually does but I never did the rotation to start curving the ball on ANY of the ones I threw.

Went outside to grab some take out. Tons of people staring at their phones playing this game. Do they even know what they are doing lol.

I got a Scyther today. How rare is that? He was hard to catch. He was much further away than other Pokemon I caught and I ran through about 30 balls trying to get them to go far enough to get him.

Happens to me all the time. I really wish I knew the cause.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. So basically, the simplest way to do this is evolve the first one you get as fast as you can, then power it up later if you want it to get stronger? That makes it easy! Thanks.

Can rarely get a Pokemon to show up at my house or work but I go to a restaurant and they are infested with Pokemon.

Of course I have no pokeballs.

I'm around 700 experience to reaching level 9. Is there a way to reach it without cathing Pokémon? All of my Pokémon is evolve as far I can get them too.

The kicker was that as soon as I ran out of Pokeballs a 208 CP eevee pops in my house. I was livid.

Pokestops give you 50xp I believe. But the best way is to catch pokemon, or evolve them. Even catch the lowest level ones, it adds up.

Basically, yeah. You always want to just evolve ASAP.

What's the difference between Lure and Incense? Is it only that everyone can see a lure?
Do pokemon spawn more frequently with lure? I usually get 6 with incense but I've never used lure.

Do you get experience for powering up a Pokémon?

Lol... I've been out all day playing this and I don't want to drive or walk a mile to the nearest Pokestop.

Lol.. just tried and no experience. Atleast I made my Jolteon even more badass.

Lures get placed at Pokestops and anyone can benefit from them. Insense are personal and only attract Pokemon to you.

Pokemon are attracted to lures. If you place one at a Pokestop Pokemon will flock to that stop.

Awesome! Thanks for the help.

Also, I feel stupid. I just realized that instead of transferring all the Pidgeys after catching them, I should instead evolve them into Pidgeottos first. It's worth an extra 500 XP and I don't really need the Pidgey candy anymore.

Well... This game has some serious bustedness. Found a gym I can actually beat. But it's glitched. Either always ends with the 1 HP glitch or the battle starts then goes right back to looking at the gyms Pokemon and no battle

I just noticed something

If you go to your pokemon list, some of them have a blue-ish background color

Anybody know what that means?

Edit: after taking a closer look i think those are recently caught ones

I see, so I guess the number of pokemon that will flock to the 'lured' pokestop depends on how many pokemon were in the vicinity in the first place?

Haven't downloaded it never played a Pokémon game and the idea of walking or driving around doesn't do anything for me. With that said it seems like this game is a HIT! Good for nintendo

You've to found your inner child just like this person
62 here and discovering Pokemon for the first with Pokemon Go. Got up this morning and felt like a 7-year old, excited to run outside and play. This afternoon I saw an older gent on the backside of the museum building with a gym overhead, swiping his cell like mad. When I walked around the front of the building, there was a 20-something, clearly locked in battle. They were unaware of each other's physical presence, but fighting away. Loved it!

A quirp I have with this game is that there is no relationship formed with your pokemon. I mean sure, you can name an Arcanine Mr. Scruffles and all, but once you capture one or two other's with higher CP, guess where Mr. Scruffles is going, back into the wild.

Pokemon in this game are so easily disposable. I wish they'd have a better system of leveling, or at least make it more challenging.

I give the better Pokemon the nickname and then pretend the "original" never happened.

"It's a cold world. You're 'Pancakes' now."

Had a great time today. Got my girlfriend to download the game and we decided to roam around our neighborhood. Spotted a park with a lure on it so we headed towards it. When we got there it was already packed with roughly 10-15 kids. Shortly after all 3 pokestops within the area had a lure on it. The next 15-30 minutes was just people flooding into the park.

Every time 1 lure went down someone used theirs to keep it up. It stayed like this for a good hour and a half. People were jokingly talking about how they just wanted to go home since the lure was never ending. It's pretty crazy to see what this game is doing.

Caught around 100 Pokemon and went up a few levels.

Mine says 19/19, which is bs cause I know there was one that ran away. (I am a pokemon newb, I have no idea which one it was)
