Have there been any mass meet-ups? I heard about the one in Australia that was pretty successful. Next week, San Francisco is going to have a Pokemon Go Crawl, which is a 3 mile trek from the coast to one of parks further in town. It has over 4000 people confirmed going, with over 19000 signed up. Whether that many show up or not remains to be seen, but have there been any other organized events like this in any other cities?

In my experience, yes. I evolved 2 Jolteon's and 1 Flareon all had the same moves but each had different CP.

Aside from the footprints, which tend to vary hugely once it gets to 3, this should be accurate.

Green leaves show you where a pokemon is most likely near.

Basically, when you open the "Nearby" list in the bottom right, that will show you a list of nearby pokemon. The more footprints means the further away they are. The list is ordered in terms of distance to you, and the upper left is the closest.

Basically, just get out there and start walking, particularly towards green grass rustling. That will give you the best shot at finding a pokemon.

This game is fucking bullshit. You can catch pidgeys and ratatats all fucking day. No problem. But as soon as you get something halfway decent, or new, or something different than a fucking pidgey, OOPS, game crashes, restart, pokemon gone.

I got lucky one time this happened with a snorlax. Game crashed on me twice, but somehow by the grace of Professor Willow and his chiseled jawline and washboard abs, it ended up in my bag.

Fuck.

Every time I go to the park I overhear someone mentioning a story about how they missed out on a Dragonite, whether it escaped from them or they experienced server issues and lost it.

Okay - after a wondrous past few days with highs and lows, im hanging up my lvl 15 trainer hat. Will certainly keep an eye on future updates, but i got my fill and am tired of the barebones gameplay and trove of issues plagueing this game. got halfway to gyrados too

I really wish they'd add more stuff outside of cities. I don't even live in a rural area, I live in the suburbs and there's absolutely nothing in my neighborhood. The closest pokestop and gym are a mile walk away, and you won't find anything other than a few weedles and pidgeys. My friends who live in the city are already lv10-15.

My best ones are all mid-200s Ratticates and Pidgeottos. Should I spend my leftover candy to level up these guys as much as possible so I can start battling? Or try to catch better pokemon?

From my experience, Pokemon caught in the wild that have higher CPs tend to have a higher CP potential overall and will gain a lot more strength from evolution. The higher your level, the stronger the wild Pokemon get, so you may start to see much stronger versions of common encounters which will most likely end up stronger than anything you may have right now.
