My wife just made a regular google account so he could play. I got borked by the 'didn't do the EULA' thing. and ever since then couldn't log in.

The speed tracking system does seem a bit iffy when you're driving. On my 2 mile daily commute to work, I consistently get .4 kilometers on all of my eggs, despite going 30+mph for most of the drive. (don't worry people, I just turn on the app to record the distance, then put it in my pocket. I'm not an idiot/douche)

I assumed there were going to be issues so after about a day of trying I gave up and made a google account. But I am on Android anyways.

Im getting a new device tomorrow(both android). If i use my google account will my Pokemon Go data transfer over? Can anybody confirm this?

this game is blowing up, people that have no interest in pokemon are talking about it/know of it. its pokemania all over again.
i would have loved a game like this when i was a kid, awesome to see it come to fruition. the next big step will be to add player vs player battles. down the line i think they can release a full on pokemon game based on this concept and it will set the world on fire

I had the same issue. They're in your pokemon tab, scroll right after entering that to see eggs

On the Pokemon tab, go to the top and hit the "eggs". To hatch them, you have to put them in Incubators. Everyone has an infinite one, but depending on your level you might have another (I believe you get one at 8 and 11?)

Egg incubator tracks location via GPS (not steps), so it will work. However if you go over a certain speed it wont work. I believe the speed cap is around 5-7mph.

game seems to only use your speed for calculating if you are walking or not,so as long as you skate slowly,it should count

This just made me think of something......for every 3 hours that magicarp is in the gym it should get a candy when it comes back to you.

Also, when they implement trading, they should allow item trading, too.
Make different types of Lure Module that attract one or two specific Typesof Pokemon. (Like, an "Electric Lure Module"or a "Blue Lure Module" could do Water and Ice, for instance.)
Make Lures and other Shop items rare drops from PokeSpots and then trade Lure types with people looking for specific Mons.
I'm just spitballin' here.
For the most part, I keep 1-2 of every pokemon I catch and replace them if I find a stronger version of said pokemon. I do hold on to copies of some pokemon to evolve for EXP, like Pidgey. Pidgeys only cost 12 candies to evolve, and they pop up even faster than McDonalds locations in the USA. Hold on to 20+ Pidgeys, get enough candies to evolve them all, then put on a lucky egg and enjoy your 20k+ exp.

Raise your trainer level. Early on it's mostly done by catching mons. If you can, Go to places where lures are popular. They attract lots of weak mons but you might get lucky with either high CP or evolutions. Incubate eggs as soon as you get them.
Decent Pokemon start showing at about level 7 or 8 imo

My big grip with the game so far is that I never was able to do a proper Gym fight.
-Clicks on gym when near, Avatar and gym disappear until I restart the app.
-Get into a fight, can't kill the opponent when I clearly win, timer goes down and I lose.
-App just crashes when I click on the gym and closes.
One day...I'll get a damn fight...my Pokemon will be more than ready.

I am bored of it already. This needed a 1.0 version from day one, with battles / accounts / parties and trading.
Also, with a better implementation of the gym mechanic.
Also, social events like the Mewtwo thing in the trailer. Hope they do it quickly and before the hype fades or this will be a terrible lost opportunity.

I've come to the same conclusion but it's too late to turn back now. I'm on android so hopefully this bug doesn't cross over and is only an ios issue.
They have stated that they are working on trading between players but have been vague about what other enhancements are in our future. No specific mention of 1v1 battles as far as I know.

I've noticed this happens a lot when I'm at home. It's like the app is trying to goad me outside with a pokemon I don't have yet, but then I go outside and I can't hone in for shit.

Other benefit of low-level duplicates is that you get a nice little bit of EXP for evolving, so if you have plenty of pidgeys or something else common that evolve easily, that's a nice way of building it up too.

Do you not live in a city? Because in the city it's super fun.
Also you can sort of battle your friends by battling their gyms. We had about 8 people out in front of a gym here and we were all taking it over from each other over and over again. Epic moment.

You can indirectly 1v1 by claiming a gym and having your friend challenge, but that's a feat in itself

Someone's saying there are tons of Charmanders and a few Charizards at the Boardwalk where I live. The Boardwalk is an amusement park. Maybe that's where they like to hang out. Haven't seen any otherwise.
