Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

There should be a point where you stop seeing so many Rattatas and Pidgeys, like after level 7/8. It's like in the mainline games, after the first few gyms you hardly see Rattatas again unless you go back.

Nah, that'd take away from the illusion of common pokemon being everywhere.

A better option would be for an optional exclusion of certain pokemon in your nearby list.

I've been sitting on a lure for a while now waiting for this damn single-footprint (???) Onix to pop up but the thing won't come out. I thought you were cool, rock snake.

Uh they don't actually lure the ones nearby, just causes a pokemon to spawn every so often. Dude it's 1 foot away and an Onix, get off your ass you don't have to go far!

My guess is that with trading coming up, they didn't want people to be able to identify the precise locations of others, so now the map shows the radius of the PokeStop that spawned that Pokemon.
I don't think it's PokeStops, because each of the two circles that all of my Pokemon have now been assigned to contain dozens of stops.

I don't get why they didn't start the European rollout with France instead of Germany since tomorrow is Bastille Day and everyone would've been playing.

Oh really? Craziness. And haha that's fair enough. I was doing some work at a coffee shop and didn't want to pack everything up or I might have. But I appreciate your blunt-itude.

Good point. I guess it's just "wide enough not to be too specific about where people live".

Looking at one of my more rare pokemon, the circle it draws isn't even close to where I caught this thing. Hell most of the circle is out in the wilderness.

Sorry just miffed that I haven't seen an Onix yet and you have one 1 foot away lol.

How come I have 374 out of 350 items?

Just noticed after I checked my inventory after all Pokestops started saying "Bag is full".

Also, if I use the trashcan icon next to an item, will I het to choose how many to throw away? I don't want to risk throwing away every single one of that item.

Getting tired of the game getting stuck after i catch a Pokemon. I've missed a Hitmonlee and several Growlithe, Abras and Persians due it.

Are all games this glitchy on the app store?

Side note, this makes me more excited about Pokemon proper. The lack of battle is sorely missed.

I drove home for lunch and saw a three footprint Scyther on my radar. Long story short I went back to work hungry and disappointed.

Assuming 3 footprints means the Pokémon is roughly 1 km away in ANY direction, that's a lot of ground to cover before it disappears. You have to be lucky to track it down.

Huh, I noticed an odd change today on Android, possibly related to the update. The map showing where you caught a Pokemon, at the bottom of their status page, is now significantly more zoomed out than it was previously. Before it showed a radius of a few blocks, with the actual area you could have caught the Pokemon in circled. Now it's practically showing my whole city, with a much larger area circled. I wonder if it was a privacy thing?
Privacy concerns as a prelude to trading?

Does anyone have any luck actually finding pokemon at cemetarys?

i love going out to them because they have tons of pokestops and its fun battling at a gym next to a mausoleum but every time i visit one the pokemon are all 3 steps away and i can never get them any closer despite going all over the grounds
Privacy concerns are a little ridiculous, because how many of your pokemon do you actually catch at home?
Most of my eevees are from my house tbh

Yeah. I would be surprised if the servers weren't epic proportions bad this weekend with Asia launching within 48 hours. Better get a hold of those gyms prior and you might end up with a streak as no one can fight the disconnects.

So I just went back home for a week's vacation in the place I grew up. This is a really rural place, a small island in the perifiry of one of the middle-sized cities in the country. Needless to say I'm not very optimistic about my Pokemon Go output for the next week.

So what do I see when I arrive?

30 minutes later it's repopulated. Aparantly my house is a designated spawn point. I've caught more than 20 pokemon since I arrived from my living room, several that I didn't have aldready. I even found a Bulbasaur in the garden. I'll run out of pokeballs soon though, and the closest pokestop is at least 10km away.

If you're on point in spotting when a Pokemon first appears in the list, you can eliminate about 90 degrees of space behind you and can then just walk forward, leaning left or right. If you don't get to 2 footprints or it disappears, it's probably time to go the the direction you didn't pick. I haven't had a hard time finding Pokemon I get the drop on. If it's been out for a while though, gg.

Starting to get pretty pissed about throwing multiple pokeballs at pokemons and then the game crashing when I capture it, not giving me the Pokemon, but still taking all my pokeballs I threw.

People walking around in public places is enough to get the police to check them out? Why?

around here parks close at dark. technically considered trespassing or loitering if they wanted to be dicks. a group of people at 1 in the morning used to mean trouble, now it means pokemon

ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

/goes out on a jog

Yeah, I did the same today

Ok so the FAQ says there's a 5 min timer on training...
But when I train at a gym there isnt?
I just keep going at it. Gets rep every time
Sweet! Thanks, I'll edit it.

I originally got that from another guide and when I went to a friendly gym the first time, the servers were going haywire and I could only get in every so often, so I thought that what I was experiencing was confirming that. But I'm sure it was just the connection at the time, and now that you mention it I haven't thought about it since.

Appreciated :)

Bad people usualy do bad stuff at night (and in parks) so police stay on guard specialy when some armed robbery agaiant pokemon go players (got lured) happened in Missouri and another state.

Lucky duck. I was hoping Pokemon would start spawning in my rural area when I saw the update hit, but it's as barren as it ever was. Niantic, pls.

The thing is that any time I've ever managed to track down 3 footprints, the pokemon has only been like 2 blocks away at most.

2 footprints has been like 1 block away while 1 footprint has been half a block or so.

The issue for a lot of people I imagine is that the radar breaks at times by showing you a 3 footprint pokemon that's long gone.

I try to get around that by restarting the app any time I see a pokemon I'm interested in that's 3 footprints away. If they're really there, then they'll show up again. If they don't reappear, then I'll know it was bugged.

After curfew and they looked young, I'm guessing.

...and I think I could be right, unless I have the wrong Blendon

[URL="[/URL]

"Our curfew is as follows:

Teens between the ages of 13-17 may not be on the streets between midnight and 4:30 a.m."

Or several large groups of people

I've encountered some grave errors while going on a hunt with my SO today.

Galaxy S7 problems:

1-2 Pokémon show up, after that only errors and invisible Pokémon everywhere.

Note 4 Problems:
Catching Pokémon is impossible, always gets stuck after the final successful click :(

So yeah, game is broken for us.

The servers are so bad right now that I lost the last 5 Pokemon I caught.

I feel like I shouldn't even bother this weekend.

That's mayne the reason

Hundreds of people in South Korea are rushing to Sokcho, the only city where PokemonGO works.

And I've read that Niantics don't plan yet to release over there and mayne never in China (because censored internet) imagine China waking up one day >.>...
