How people lvling up so quick? Captured thousands of pokemon already?

1. Catch and save all trashmons like Pidgey, Rattata etc
2. Transfer the excess while keeping enough to evolve. For example if you have 13 Pidgeys and 0 Pidgey candies, you would transfer the weakest 12 Pidgeys and then you would have enough candy to evolve the 13th. Don't evolve yet.
3. Keep playing normally until you hit enough levels to have a Lure, Incense, and a Lucky Egg.
4. Pop Lure, Incense, and Lucky Egg all at the same time. Or if you live in the city, find a nice spot that has two pokestops already lured up close together, like a college campus or park.
5. Do all your evolutions that you have been saving up. Instead of 500 XP per, you'll get 1000 XP per.
6. You'll also get 200 XP per pokemon you can from the lures and incense.

As for people with really high levels, its because they're just paying for the lures, incenses and lucky eggs to have a constant double xp bonus farm.

I cannot stress enough how much I want an Arcanine, he is my second favorite pokemon and my only option really is to hatch Growlithe from an egg. It is such a struggle

I have one and don't level him because everyone has them around here. We have so many Growliths everywhere they are basically on par with zubats and ratatas.

So i'm reading everywhere that the Gym Bonus is every 21 hrs but i took over a gym and became the gym leader and decided to train 5 times to raise the prestige. Afterwards I noticed that the 21 hr timer went down to 16 hrs after only 15 minutes of battling there.

This is an incredible protip if true. Can anyone confirm?

Evolved about 20 Pokémon with Lucky Egg active earlier for 20000exp. Mostly Pidgeys.

Leveling up is very quick that way.

I have one and don't level him because everyone has them around here. We have so many Growliths everywhere they are basically on par with zubats and ratatas.

I have the same situation with Clefairy. I wish I could find a growlith.

All the gyms in my small town now belong to Team Mystic. There was only one owned by Valor scum but we got rid of them.
We now run the whole town!

All I can contribute is that it will take me 10,000 XP to get to Level 14 (from 13).

Sucks for us that live in the suburbs or rural areas. 10 minute drive to a park, collect, wait, collect again. I hope they find a way to balance soon. I have friends that live/work downtown that have a superior advantage.

granted, none of the later gens surpassed RGBY, but they still sell in the millions. they don't even make spin-off games when they absolutely could. I'd love a Pokémon Snap 2.

Fortunately, people will still buy experiences that are superior to mobile.

Looks like most of the mainline games do around 15 million, which are great numbers. But Pokemon Go is almost certainly raking in millions of dollars everyday.

I guess it we'll see how it holds up long term, and we would also need actual revenue figues, but I think this will easily bring in more money than the mainline titles.

But yeah... of course they should keep making both. I've also wanted a home console mainline game for... well... forever!

Yeah, it's a 20 minute drive to my nearest decent sized town and it's basically the only place nearby that I can catch decent Pokemon

Doesn't matter when you level, it costs the same. It matters when you evolve because you might get an evolution with shit moves. Evo first, then level if its good.

I'm really lucky with Stops. There are about a dozen stops on campus where I work, and sometimes I can hit a Stop just from my desk. There's also a Stop across the road from my house that I can hit sometimes. Plenty of Pokemon around here as well.

I really feel for people who don't have any stops nearby... that sucks.

Did have a Scyther run away from me though.. first time running into something that didn't have a green ring.

Friend and I took a gym, but we didn't even get half a mile away before someone else rolled in and took it back. the park was vacant while we were there, but not even 5 mins pass and some valor fucks took it back. This happens everytime. Like, there are so many people that holding a gym, let alone multiple means I rarely get any pikacoins

Pokemon Go has done a really good job at making me appreciate certain Gen 2-6 Pokemon that I didn't necessarily give enough respect.

I'm sure you guys are feeling some notable omissions--for me it's Ralts, Togepi, and Electivire.

I also wish we had some more variety in generic fodder, because Pidgey and Rattata are getting old. It would be so much better if we had all of the rodents, birds, and bugs.

It is that way for my three devices (note 3, note 5, sony xperia). Though for some magical reason yesterday both app and spotify were playing music at the same time, couldnt hear the song or the game music because it was too confusing

Since the stardust requirements to power up increase when you evolve, wouldn't that favor you maxing out the CP on a Pokemon in its initial stages and then evolving so it stays at that max CP?

Max CP is set based upon your level you caught the monster at. A pokemon caught at level 1 has a lower max CP versus one caught at level 10.

The first time I went hunting for pokemon it was fine, but every time after that Spotify will randomly crash usually after only 1 or 2 minutes, so before even a single song finishes. This also usually causes PoGo to stop making any sounds and vibrations so maybe it was because I leave SFX on in PoGo.

How do you know what moves are good?

you typically want STAB moves or moves that are Super Effective against common gym pokemon of your area. you want your tap attack to get a boost or often be a SE attack and the charge move to be the same type or a different type to maybe be more useful in off-typing situations.

finally got my first spot at a gym. saw the one next to my building had 1 fairly week pokemon, then when I got there it was just a blank gym... put a golbat down and then immediately two other reds got pokemon in the gym. saw two dudes walk by with phones, I assume it was them.

No, when you hatch eggs by walking and having them in incubators, you are rewarded with experience when the pokemon hatches. That experience is doubled by lucky egg

I just caught a Growlithe today. Besides it being a cool ass looking Pokemon, I wasn't sure if it was good or not. Worth leveling? It's a 490 and my highest Pokemon right now is 1000 CP, I'm level 17.

You need to evolve it. Don't bother powering up base form Pokemon.

Why wouldnt they? They sell millions at 40 bucks a pop. I dont see why it wouldnt be over this still. Either way it doesn't matter cause they can crank out both and reap the money from both experinces.

And not only that but also they've just expanded the market a ton with this. Best advertising you could hope for.

I'd assume it was flavor text if the game didn't go out of it's way to let you know when your pokemon is either extra big or extra small.
