Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

What do you guys think about swooping in to steal a gym someone cleared out? I'm fine with it since it just adds more battles so more experience.

Why do they even close the parks? Like the park by my house is the same thing and I just wonder how they even enforce it.

Say you're level 5 and you have a Pidgey with his CP meter all the way to the right and his power is 50 (making up numbers here). When your trainer is level 6, the Pidgey will still be 50 CP but will be able to be powered up 2 more times with stardust because your trainer leveled up.

Someone made the observation that the trainer max level is 50, and every time you level up you can power up a Pokemon twice, so it's like the Pokemon has a max "level" of 100.

Cut down on drug deals, prostitution, etc. Can happen in even the most affluent neighborhoods. They enforce it by making it a patrol stop for officers.

They are very common in my area. Caught a 1088 CP one yesterday. Not worth spending stardust on it imo
 
Got a Scyther tonight at one of my favorite bars with a lure, with a side of Bulbasaur. Good night, already started pumping up Scyther. He was always one of my favorites. Hope I don't reget it, my stardust is gettinf low...

I mean I work after its closed and stop there multiple times every night and don't see any police. And it is a pretty cruddy area

There is a way to play pokemon go on your pc, we recently reported a player who was obviously gps hacking. We took a gym on the beach in an open area, and INSTANTLY he took it back. This happened multiple times and the beach was empty. Absolutely empty.

If you use google trends, you can see that search interest for pokemon is 3 times bigger as the highest interest minecraft ever had, let that sink in. You thought minecraft was huge (it is) , this is on whole new level.

But minecraft also lasted. This game I'm not sure have enough to sustain itself for a long time period.
 
I have the weirdest feeling. like, it's so late, but I know there are people out there right now in my hood, catching mons, flipping gyms.

Each release of Pokemon still sells fucking gangbusters, Sun and Moon will be no different and will probably even get a boost from the GO hype.

Pokemon has never stopped lasting. GO has brought it back (and surpassed at this point) the "phenomenon" of the Red and Blue days, but Pokemon has always been strong as hell. Even if GO does die, there's plenty more left.

I had just witnessed a Valor Gym being taken by Mystic. Then about an hour later two Valor people took it back with a Level 3 Gym set up. All while it's dark in the park and neighborhood. These people are more dedicated than me.
 
Just starting it. The professor tells me to catch a pokemon and there are three right next to me but I can't do anything. When I tap on a pokemon nothing happens. What am I supposed to do?

Restart your game & if you dont like the starters, don't click them & a pikachu will pop up eventually.

Restart the app. One time the game was following me through GPS but tapping Pokemon didn't do anything, restarting fixed it.

My god my workplace is infested with Doduos. You would think ratatatas or pidgeys would be more common.

Maybe its because i live in Australia.

damn this game needs an API like whoa. Just wrote a script to tell me how many evolves I have, exp gained etc but I have to enter my pokemon into a spreadsheet :(

The prof is going to do all kinds of experiments with your Raichu now... you ain't ever going to see him back.
