Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Isn't that 1K for discovering a new pokemon on the pokedex, not an evolution?

I coulda sworn I've had it happen on Pokemon I've IDd but never caught...I could be wrong tho now that I think about it

Either way same shit, take advantage of the fact you get extra xp for evolves in that situation

I wish the 3 footprint Pokemon would point you in a general direction and then let you guess from 2 onwards where they are, I prefer finding them was based less on luck or randomly appearing out of nowhere than they are currently.

Are those Weedles good exp? I seem to have them around my house & Gastly & Spearows.

Spearow is like 50 candies to evolve so not worth it imo. Dont know about Ghastly but I love Gengar so I keep collecting them whenever I see one.

Its a bit dumb when youre running out of pokeballs. Sure exercise is good but it feels dumb to ride my bike to a certain location just in hopes of getting more pokeballs. I guess I might have to burn a few euros, hmpf.

Seriously hope they add a select all pokes you wish to transfer in an update. Swimming in goddamn pidgeys, rattatas, and eevees. It never ends.

The two main features I really want that aren't trading and pvp are mass transferring and the ability to filter out certain pokemon from never appearing on your map.

If I never see any Zubat it'll be too soon.

Was kinda shrugging this off and not really getting into it, and then the next thing I know I'm running over to an alleyway with a group of 15 strangers and a couple friends at 1am to catch a Hitmonlee. This game man.

Caught a Snorlax on my way to work but the game glitched out on me just as the Pokeball was wobbling. Feels bad man. At least I know that they can actually spawn nearby so I'll be watching out for them like a hawk now! Hopefully the glitches will be fixed soon as there's still a fair few freezes happening, even with the latest update. Can't stop playing though.

I would love for truly regional Pokémons.

Like only in Scandinavia you will find a Troll and down under a Tasmanian Devil or something.
Would add another level of mystery to the game and the sense of real world discovery.

Next time pull over and if you log back in quick enough it'll still be there, sometimes takes a min. Helped a kid get a Nidoking that way group of us were trying to catch it and his game froze and got super depressed logged back in and it was gone. He was about to walk away in defeat but told him to wait a couple minutes and sure enough it reappeared for him.

When u layin in bed at1:42am, gotta go to work early but don't feel like sleeping and see some lures pop up right down the street...

My eevee just evolved into this:

5eQPVwE.png

My strongest pokemon so far.

Changed my iOS account to UK just now (local region) and immediately purchased 2500 Pokécoin for £15. This game deserves my money. Probably played for 20-30 effective hours this past week.

Buying Egg Incubators and more Bag space.

I'm literally playing every waking hour in some capacity

Question now that this is out in the UK, is this one of those mobile games where if you uninstall the app you lose all your progress even though it's heavily server based? Or will just removing and re-downloading the UK version and then logging in with the same account allow me to pick up where I left off?

Everything is logged into the servers, you can safely remove the game and reinstall.

When you sign it in picks up where you left off.

I did it not 30 seconds ago

What level should I evolve the rarer Pokemon at?

I have a cp302 Venonat and enough candies, but I feel like I should wait for a higher one considering how long it took me get those damn candies.

I did not have to re-download the App personally. I had just temporary changed my iOS account to NA region (with payment details 'none') this past week. Back to my standard UK region now. Pokémon GO immediately displayed in-game purchases in £ when I re-started the app. I'm using Google login.

If we are doing one country every day, and the game has already released in 5 countries, worst case scenario, in about half a year the game should arrive to Japan! :))

Glorious sunshine here where I am in Scotland, off work today and the game has just released

It's like it was written in the stars. Let's do this!

EDIT: Sun has now disappeared and it looks like it could rain at any moment. Welcome to Scotland.

Do you have to be a certain level to use Lucky Eggs and Lures, or if I buy a load now from the store, will I be able to use them straight away?

anything you can mass evolve due to low candy costs are good for xp

just make sure you save em all until you're ready to pop a lucky egg

Pidgey, Caterpie, and Weedle all take 12 candies to evolve which will give 500 EXP.

Everything else requires 25 candies for a middle evolution followed by 100 candies for the final evolution, or just 50 candies if they only evolve once.

Except Magikarp. 400 candies.

No matter how many candies it takes to evolve, you will always get 500 EXP for evolving (1000 EXP if you use a Lucky Egg first).

Which is why from a farming standpoint, the 3 I mentioned are the most efficient if you live in an area full of them.

Spearow is like 50 candies to evolve so not worth it imo. Dont know about Ghastly but I love Gengar so I keep collecting them whenever I see one.

Thanks for these infos :).

About those 10km eggs (which I dont have yet). Do you need to travel 10km to it hatch or how it works?
Do I need to keep GO going on whole time?
