That's awesome! I was curious if Universal would have much Pokestops, as I'm going to Universal Studios Orlando in early October, and be cool if I was surrounded by them. lol. (Granted, different Universal, but still, neat)

Yep. No matter the CP you caught it at, if you train it enough they will all hit the same CP if they are the same species. That's why it's a waste to train stuff with low CPs, because all you have to do is level up and you can immediately find stronger stuff, so you just wasted candies and especially stardust, which is a very limited resource at high levels.

The exception is hatched Pokemon, which seem to get an extra two Power Up uses (i.e., a +100 CP cap for a Dragonite, +40 for a Drowzee, etc). See here:

Yeah, I heard plenty about that from other people, still haven't encountered it but I'm in a low level zone and can't fight much for gyms on a completely underdog team.

I did see a gym with the ultimate protection glitch though. You tapped on the gym and after the zoom in animation, the app crashed everytime. (I'm still not sure about the cause, might've been something off with the servers that the client couldn't handle, or the specific pokemon defending (grimer I think.) Before the pokemon model loaded it would crash. Thankfully it seemed fixed (gym had changed hands though) when I passed it.
 
I'm not able to pull up the shop menu, and, thus, not able to check my gym badge. I've been wanting to take a gym here at work but no point if I can't grab the bonus immediately.

Anybody else have this issue where the shop menu is blank?

Servers are having a bad time today for a lot of people.

Not being able to pull up the shop menu is usually my tell-tale sign that the servers are fucking up.
 
The gym mechanism needs some tweaking imo.

What's the point of taking and defending a gym, when you have to wait another 20 hours to get a reward? That's way too long. I see gyms changing team every hour.
 
Ran into a Growlithe. I had never seen one before so I thought it was pretty cool. Opened the menu to throw a berry and.... freeze.

Thanks game. I didn't want to catch it anyway.

The reward is based on how many gyms you are in at the time you hit the shield icon. You don't have to hold the gyms for 20 hours. What I do is take a handful of gyms in the morning before they get too active, then hit the button. At that point, it doesn't matter if they get taken.
 
TFW you get close enough to have a Pokemon appear in the overworld but it banishes before you can try and capture it

I can reach a pokestop a few meters outside my house with constant lures from other people, i think my life is complete.
I will just catch pokemon forever just by sitting on my ass at home.

Againstthesystem lez go. Who needs to meet other people right? right???...

If I've logged in with Google and have now been able to make a Trainer Club account, will I loose all my progress if I log out and login to the new account?

It's to encourage people to keep playing and doing other things in the meantime, in view of passers-by who then might be curious enough to try it themselves.

Well yeah, exactly what I mean.
It's too much centered around that one moment you hit the button.
 
You can notice that this isn't really a Nintendo App because the stability of it is terrible. Shit is freezing like crazy.

I also hate how this App can't keep the screen ON all the time. I'm sure some apps can do this. Well this one doesn't. This wouldn't be too bad if the App wouldn't pretty much shut down the moment the screen turns off...

I don't even know how that GO Plus is supposed to work when the App is pretty much dead with the screen off. Probably something they are still working on.
 
the permanent upgrades in the shop, Bag upgrade and Pokemon Storage Upgrade, can you stack those multiple times or do they become unavailable after 1 use? Like can I do 3 bag upgrades?
 
They can flag the screen to stay on while the app is running but they didn't choose to for some reason. I gave up and set my screen timeout to 10 minutes and got used to manually turning my screen off or tapping the screen every few minutes if I'm actively using it to track distance.
 
Used to be able to enjoy working servers during euro time, but now with the Deutschland release Niantic has "fixed" that and I'm getting laggy servers at all times, unfortunate.

Getting all the candy along with a hatched pokemon is really nice, has permitted me to evolve multiple pokemon that I'd otherwise maybe encounter once a day.

I see it. They're also raffling off $100 pokécoins and a "Pokémon hunting trip anywhere in the US." Which is one of the most insane and amazing things I have heard in all my time on the planet Earth👏

Well, you don't have to "look all the time" to begin with, you will only get into a accident if you're being a idiot not paying attention, and you will look much more like a creep tapping away at a pokeball shaped bracelet than you would taping on your phone, something every no pokemon go player has.
 
I might say fuck this game.

Just spent like 30 fucking pokeballs trying to catch a wartortle and it hopped out every time. Used berries, used great balls. Server locked up and I rebooted. He was still there but said fuck you in a puff of smoke after jumping out repeatedly again.

This game is going to get awful if everything has to be caught with ultra balls you can only get at stops and leveling.
 
Can anyone explain to me why i'm level 9 and it seems like I still can't catch any pokemon over ~220 cp? Literally everything has been that, and most are under 100.

Meanwhile my friends (around the same level) are getting 500+

Yeah I spent 70% of my Pokeballs getting that ??? Golbat with constant nice/gear or whatever small circle throws and used almost all my berries too.

The worst part is that I'm a rural player and got almost nothing left now >.>
