Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

In a month or so is every gym going to be max level with a well-balanced team of max level Pokemon? Is that the inevitable end of all this?

That's what I'm worried about. The gym by my house is already level 7 with several mon over 1k CP. Fucking valor kids are going to conquer all the gyms around me before I even have a chance.

The number of pokestops around me are non existent and the towns nearby are decent but nothing out of this world. I think I'm just gonna go downtown Boston tomorrow and spend the day there to play it for real.

Getting tired of team instinct, I have no backup out there! Can I join team rocket?

Everything seems to indicate Instinct is massively underdog in numbers [unofficial polls from days ago might've changed], so just get used to it. I hope Niantic is following team populations per zone and think of creating local incentives or buffs for balance like many MMOs do on things like server pop. If they don't some teams will become unplayable in PvP sadly. People wanting to play on the winning team in a given area, even when not groups of friends, doesn't help as it just snowballs the power issue.

From what I was told by some Ingress players, some regions are on complete lockdown for one side, and others for other. But on PoGo with the existence of the 3rd team there seemed to be an overwhelming dominance from red/blue worldwide.

I have constant disconnections with pokeballs not blinking red after catching a pokemon, pokemon that when I touch them to start battle they disappear from the map and a strange bug where the pokemon gets to close to me in catching mode and I can't hit it.

Are theses errors due to my connection? is there anything I can do about it?

hat it when I find a good one just to see it bug out and I have to constantly exit and log in again.

Perks of living in Nyc ;)

Poor Magikarp.

Just got a Pidgeot, it suddenly appeared, despite not being shown anywhere before.

I notice that the game will actually spawn you a random pokemon (possibly on some sort of timer?) no matter where you are.

Seems especially helpful for people who are stuck at home or at an office all day.

I've randomly gotten Machoke, Aerodactyl, Squirtle, Machop, Krabby, and a few others in my house that is otherwise just full of Zubats.

Would be cool if that is the case.

But a house full of Zubats? I wouldn't wanna live there.

:(

Was considering adding a section to the OP about deals, but I'm not sure if any other nationwide chains (or larger chains) are doing Pokemon things.

Red Robin as far as I know is the first to offer a deal in such a large scale.

Nuuuuuu! someone took my name. Had to call myself shinyGeminosity instead :(

On the upside, Edinburgh is rife with pokestops :D

Oh, a fellow Edinburgh...er.

The Royal Mile is pretty good for stops so I sometimes walk up there toward the castle, and around Holyrood Palace/Arthur's Seat during my lunch break. Supposedly there's a meet up on Saturday at the Princes Street gardens at 2pm which I might head to.

data is saved on your account right?

so if I wanted to switch from an android tablet to an iphone I could without losing my progress as long as I log in with the same google account right.

Saw there was a red gym by my house with a flareon so I decided to go take it out. I get there and a yellow guy had already taken it. The dude who owned was sitting there. I beat his syther. Put my gyarados up and he drove away. He was intimidated lol

This game is incredible!

now THAT I have no clue about, switching OS is a gamble even if the data is account-based. There might be some incompatibility. has anyone done this?

edit: I wish I had an Alamo Drafthouse near me :'(

the horror.. the horror... Result of my 10km egg was:

BUT fret not. With the egg came a ton of Eevee candy (I only had a handful of these before) letting me instantly evolve my top Eevee so indirectly the egg gave me this:

I also managed to catch a Fearow (with super low CP) which was a first for me:

Otherwise I also managed to evolve a few firsts as well:

Leveled up (mid 16 now) thanks to Lucky Egg being active during walk.

Getting an Eevee egg isn't actually that bad. Vaporeon and Flareon are two of the strongest 'mons in the game (...sorry, Jolteon...), and hatched Pokemon have higher CP caps, so if you evolve and level that, it can end up pretty strong.
