Gotcha, will have to wait for people to grind the numbers out. I'll keep em all around and not use the candy/dust for now on my Flareon. Drowzee are common enough that I can level both Hypnos. I did just blow all my candy from my 10km egg on my Snorlax though, regardless he's now my heavy hitter (my highest other Pokemon is under 500 CP haha). We gonna rule the world. Sadly I imagine this'll be Snore's cap unless I hatch another Snorlax, must be rare in the wild?

Snorlax is either the best or second best 'mon in the game, no shame in levelling it. 
it's not his cap, I mean, you can raise it more as you level by a bit.

I used this yesterday to great effect, took down a gym with 2000CP Pokemon with only 1100CP Pokemon easily. I'm going to do it again tonight, but they keep stacking the gym with water Pokemon and I have nothing SE against water.

The forced "wind" curve ball affect on anything above 400 CP is fucking infuriating and makes me want to uninstall. Ughdfjdhfjh

Learn to curveball well - drag the Pokeball in very quick loops round and round before throwing. It replaces the kind of veering curve you get with a more predictable one you can manage more easily.
Yeah, I used all 20 he was hatched with. I got another 10km egg so fingers crossed; felt unlucky that one of the ones I hatched today was an Eevee but sounds like Snorlax can be awesome. I'll take that after never having a Ghally drop for me in Destiny

Do the spin ball yourself, it will curve like you want and cancel the wind out. Just caught a 600CP Nidoqueen that way. Berry and throw a spin one
I wonder how they gauge what the release order would be. It would be crazy if their metrics for Japan were telling them that there was no way they could handle it no mater what they do infrastructure-wise. Then it all just becomes about picking the right moment and hoping for the best, lol...

I wish! I got a Magikarp today haha. 2km eggs are pretty low level pokemon but depending on your area you can get some that you might otherwise not have a chance at. Not a single geodude in my city. You can get the other starters from 2km eggs too.

I love how the pentagon is a claimed gym. No one can reach the Gym radius from the outside so it had to be someone with actual access to the Pentagon, or a GPS spoofer I guess.

Was on a walk today and found a kangaskhan, landed a pokeball on it but then had the game stop responding. Launched it again, no sign of it
The same thing happened to me today with a Polywhirl.

Get involved with teams and battle for gyms. We have several gyms in a mile radius and people roll around in large teams to take them over. Took this pick of a Mystic team earlier stomping on a gym. They asked me if I wanted to join and I dejectedly said I was Instinct :/

Personally I think there's no way they will release PokemonGo this weekend in Japan. Niantic is holding Ingress' Aegis anomaly finale in Tokyo. There are thousands who have signed up for this already, and opening PokemonGo could be pretty inconvenient for them. So, don't expect that to happen.
Where are the zubats?

Sorry but what do the steps under the nearby Pokemon mean?
I'm not sure about uncommon but (anecdotally) the park 2 blocks from me, I always see grass spots popping around it.
