Name it Pyro before evolution to get Flareon
Rainer for Vaporeon

Yup. I'm getting close to the limit of what I can handle. Yesterday I popped my last lucky egg because I've been saving several Pokemon to evolve.. Servers went down and couldn't log on or evolve anything for the full half hour.

best time is morning. easily. went from 8 to 12 after using an incense and lucky egg.

Ok, went for a beer or four and checked Pokemon Go. I live near tourist destination and there are like 13 Pokestops near the promenade in the town. Several people told me that there is crazy amount of Pokestops around the lake, I will go and check that later this weekend.

Just hit lvl 18. I only have one critter over 1k, a Rapidash at 1012. I feel like I'm behind other people I see at my level, but I feel like I'm playing "right" if that makes sense. Haven't spent much time playing outside of my lunch hour during weekdays, and I'm saving up all of my evolves to use when I have lucky egg.

I haven't spent any $ yet, so maybe that's part of it.

Went for a run at a local park which has a gym in front of it. It was already Team Mystic and I wasn't in the mood to train in order to drop off a Pokemon, so I just went on my way.

By the time I returned to my car, someone from Team Instinct had taken it over. It would only take one battle to take it over, so I did and dropped in this beauty:

As drove out, the Team Instinct guy actually came up (I'm sure he saw me battling the gym), saw what was in the gym, and yelled, "MAGIKARP!" at me as I drove off.

Karp Russel is still there in the gym too.

Just tried that Eevee trick with an Eevee named Pyro, and, sure enough, it became a Flareon. Too bad I don't have enough candies for Rainer and Sparky though, but so far so good.

yes zubats maintain their reputation as annoying af in this game.

Electric attacks are awesome around here because there are tons of water pokemon holding Gyms. Don't have much besides my Electabuzz yet.

If you're trying to take out a gym with pokemon much stronger than you, dodging is really important. Types and being overleveled in cp can let you brute force them.

Too bad the lag is so bad dodging is made useless most of the time. I've experienced too many magic pixel moments!

Settings battery saver.

Not it. On iOS, in settings for Location Services, most apps have 3 settings: always, while using app, and never. Pokemon only has the latter 2. It needs "always" so that the GPS can remain active and track your location even when the app isn't on screen.

I haven't heard any failure stories yet. Have had a couple of friends try it. Seems legit for now.
