Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Is there a way to trash eggs? I'm always getting full of these 2k ones, and they are not giving me anything good. The 5s and especially the 10s are great though.

I am in a handful of facebook groups pertaining to my area. Facebook is not my forte but I imagine you can search for groups and use pokemon go and any terms for something like whatever general area your neck of the woods belongs do.

Is the option to buy coins for the shop... On the bottom of the shop menu? I bought stuff before, but now I can't see that option

Ah ok thanks. I don't have a Facebook account but I will use my wife's later tonight to search.

Nope. You gotta walk them off. The 2k eggs can give you starters, so that's still pretty cool. The 5k eggs are in the "sour spot" of a decently long walk for Pokemon you find all over the place anyway.

Anyone else getting their Pokémerch while it's hot? But seriously: has the Pokemon tracker been out of whack for anyone else? I found a park LOADED with Charmander, but it was really had to navigate where they were considering their was a stream running down the middle of it, and I had no idea if I was on the correct side. Managed to catch 5 though!

cp basically corresponds to attack power. the problem with chansey is that you need to find more chanseys to power it up and chansey is the rarest pokemon in the game.......

That's an SL 1900 Chansey, so yeah, I'd say it's good. Not great, but good.

And no, the Chansey will get destroyed by that Pinsir. CP is the main factor. Attacks, HP, and typing do come into play but that is too great of a difference in CP.

It came from an egg so I have 20 candies left. (got chansey and about 30 candies)

I upgraded my phone yesterday and played for the first time today. I guess I was lucky, no freezes or crashes, no server disconnects, it ran pretty flawless. I caught about 30 pokemon, and got a few eggs. The only bad thing is the nearest pokestop is about 15min walk. I had a lot of fun though.

I don't really get how the damage is dealed... if a pokemon have an attack power of 5 but have 1000CP does it deal 5 damage or 1000?

Okay, walking over to the mall for dinner and supplies, then hunting eevee to try that trick. Then I'm gonna see about capping a few gyms. Still pretty underpowered but I want to practice my dodges.

Need to take my bike in for a tune-up tomorrow morning so I'm on foot tonight :(

You want higher CP. We don't have DPS yet for every skill so don't worry about it. Some attacks are better than others but the damage number for your particular attacks is much less important than CP.

when the servers are holding it's honestly a pretty slick app.

Not when they are laggy most of the times.

btw: Does Curveball no longer give points at a certain level?

I'm not sure. I curveball every time now but it doesn't always give me the bonus for some reason. Sometimes it does. I can't tell if it's a glitch or if there's more to the curveball mechanic than "spin it till it's sparkly and then nike swoosh it to the target".

If a pokemon with CP 100 attacks another pokemon that is also CP 1000 with an attack listed as 5 damage, then the attack does 5 damage. Against a lower CP, your pokemon will do more damage, and against a higher Cp opponent your pokemon will do less damage. Think of CP as levels in traditional rpgs, if you're a higher level/CP you'll do more damage with all of your attacks and take less damage than if you were lower level/CP, and vice versa.

Holy shit this 3 step bug is stupid. Doing my normal round, which is flooded with Pokemon. Running into literally everything and you can't search due to the steps. Fucking scyther pops up out of nowhere. I wish I would have known her was there earlier

Yeah, just got the bonus again. The other boni didn't work either for at least 30 minutes for me.

Does every pokemon of the same species have the same max CP, just depending on your trainer level? Or could two different Pikachu for example have different max CP?

read a few times now that pokestops in cities and rural areas give different amounts of supply
a rural one usually gives 3-5 pokeballs, how much is it in the city?

I recall seeing a post on Reddit at one point showing that pokemon that you hatch from eggs will have a higher max CP, but I don't think it's a game-changing amount.

Starting now, Trainers in Italy, Spain, and Portugal can download Pokémon GO officially from the Play Store or App Store.

More countries now but game is not stable enough for me.
