What's driving the stock spikes? Popularity? I wish there was a way to affect these guys financially when they don't handle their servers or rollouts properly.

Because 10km eggs are pretty rare and they give good pokemons. But if the trainer level is too low, the ones you get will have lower CP, which is a waste.
18 is when you can get pokemons with decent CP. Of course if you wait till later it will give you even better ones.

I have a 18CP Onix because I hatched it when I was in the single digits. I'd need at least 60 candies to get it to an acceptable CP... so yeah, save the 10kms.

I am level 10 and I still haven't had a single 10 km egg, only 2 and 5. Are 10 km eggs more rare?
What might help -> Register through the website (if not doing that already)

I was thinking about how they could add new Pokémon to the game and I think that rather than just add the next 100 from GSC into the mix, they should do it in seasons. Currently we're in the Kanto season, and say in a months time or whatever they could do a Johto season or a Unova season for example. All the Pokémon get switched out for the relative Pokémon of that region until the next season comes round. That way the game doesn't become overpopulated with all these different Pokémon where even the most basic of monster becomes too rare to find. It also supports the medals where we currently have a Kanto one.
I guess you'll receive 1000 + CP pokemon after reaching lvl 18.
Yeah, I'm afraid I just tried that with the same result, so I don't think it's on us at least.

The servers were doing fine for the past few days but the new countries turned them into cheese.
Doesn't it automatically hatch when you reach the required distance?

No. You need to put one into the incubator to begin hatching.
You shouldn't even have to uninstall or do anything then. App will from now on, be able to update through the play store.

Guess I won't be going out with friends all day today like last weekend. This sucks. They should have added other countries during the week to increase work activity all over the US, not on on the damn weekend when people want to play. Shit

I thought you were talking about the hatching itself after the egg is in the incubator.

I hatched a Lapras at level 17 and it had something like 1100cp.

Afaik, the CP of the Pokemon in the egg is set when you receive the egg and not when you hatch it, so delaying it makes no difference.

No problem with that at all but it saves a lot of time when you hatch that rare Pokemon and can't use it because of low CP and can't power it up because no candies. If you don't care about that stuff then, yeah, go for it. It's just more efficient.

Just went for a 45 minute walk to see where my nearest Pokestops are. Found one about 25 minutes away. Captured a couple of Pokemon on the way but tapping on a Magikarp did nothing, then my incense didn't activate, so I restarted the game and I couldn't log in for the return journey.
