On the plus side, Hoenn's loaded with starter Pokemon.
On the minus side, half of those Water types are Wingull and Tentacool.

Mega for Swampert and Sceptile I think should show up, but we'll see. Wouldn't be the first time Game Freak gave a more popular starter an advantage over the others.

When they announced HGSS it was literally just a post on a Japanese gaming news website with the logos. This is slightly better.
Hopefully ties in to the thing in a few hours today?

Ugh, Nintendo should just announce they aren't remaking Ruby and Sapphire. Hoenn fanboys are so annoying with their theories.
It came out in 2004, they are called Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Not what I mean, obviously. I just thought the more recent games had a lot of flaws that just didn't exist in Gen III, X/Y especially, and if they're adding new content/story/whatever (as interpreted from the video) it'll be worse than what was there before.

FR/LG had a Vs Seeker, check area for rematch.

Don't measure the quality of new games based on X/Y please. Those games weren't that good. Platinum and Black/White though, best games in the franchise so far.
Also, Gen III definitely had flaws and so did Gen II and Gen I.

I thought these were confirmed as remakes. I didn't know it was in question. If it isn't a remake then I'll allow myself to reach new hype levels.

Maybe its because I skipped Platinum, HG/SS and B2/W2 but I'd say X/Y easily eclipses all of the other Pokemon games released in the past 10 years.

In the "had potential to be awesome, but was nothing but decent". They certainly improved over the lackluster original games (GSC), though.
Eh, if you say. X/Y lacked most of the good stuff added in Gens IV and V.
XY leads in Buzz-features. I'm not saying that's a bad thing.
The ones you skipped at their release lead with the best polish and game content. All are so great that even after playing XY I think you would be impressed picking up any of them.
