The only other MOBA I played is LoL, in there you can unlock every champion without paying. So I hope that at least there's ingame currency that you get from playing.

I am guessing shiny pikachu, Pikachu with a cap and samurai pikachu will be the skin.
and those will be expensive just like other Mob
Don't under estimate the selling power of skin. Mobile legends made a killing with those skins.
I can see monthly pass where you can get more pokemon without farming for in-game currency and a limited skin you can only get thru the Monthly pass.

Would be great if TPC/Nintendo partnered with another company to create mainline Pokemon games in addition to Gamefreak.

Gamefreak having a monopoly on that shit is likely part of the reason why we get the same old bollocks every year (ish). Either that or TPC/Nintendo won't expand their budget because they know it'll sell gangbusters with minimal feature additions.
