You have posted the same thing twice in a row now - that switch is because of the changes you also just posted. It's not aNOTHER bad sign, it's the exact same thing, just posted seperately as you read it. Relax. Read more than one source, look at trendlines and stop posting everything you read without context. :lol

I'd say that it would be the duty of any responsible mature adult to do so, but that's just me. They need to be enlightened about the redeeming qualities that the Narwhal possesses.

I just wanted a reason to use that gif :lol

I'm nervous, but it's more an anxiousness for tuesday to come. I'm confident that Obama is going to win :D

bad day for Obama today at RCP

Ohio changes from Lean Obama to tossup

Virginia changes from Lean Obama to tossup

Most sites have Ohio as a tossup and I think it always has been, but I think RCP's Virginia call is probably mistaken. Electoral-Vote, fivethirtyeight, CNN, NPR, and Pollster all have it as Lean Obama.

So Obama's going to lose, essentially. So much evidence points to the tide turning!

He's like Drudge Report on mental delay.

Obama people came to my door three times today. I had to just put a sign on my doors saying "YES I'M VOTING"

First time it was a couple hot chicks, but the second and third time it was old dudes :/

Not to pile, on, but he simply doesn't read the thread, and just dumps whatever polling data he's just read and then leaves. No context, no check to see if it's old, nada.

Anyhoo - I'm very encouraged by the early voting numbers and demographics in Florida, North Carolina and Georgia.

I'm a bit surprised that Oregon is lagging a ways behind 2004 so far. I wonder if the epic number of ballot measures (voted against nearly all of them) are slowing people down; total ballots returned are only at 50% of 2004 so far. I thought they'd be through the roof at this point.

now i' mreally getting scared for PA :(. Obama needs either Ohio or PA.
Pennsylvania is a lock for Obama. There is literally a 0% chance of Obama losing it. No Kerry state is going for McCain, and that is an undeniable fact.

TheKingsCrown said:
Wait why are you scared for PA? The conservative ras poll just widened his lead...
And leads of 10%+ were never realistic. Kerry won PA by 2.2%, and the polls seem to be consolidating around a 6-8% lead, which seems more reasonable. I think AA turnout is going to drive it up to at least that kind of margin.

Don't know much about the American system. Why would a tie go to Obama?
Because the decision then goes to the House of Representatives and there are more Democrats than Republicans in the House of Representatives.

I'm wondering if some of the ballots have not been delivered by mail yet.

In the case of a tie, the newly-elected House of Representatives would vote on the winner, and the new House is going to have an overwhelming democrat majority. Since Obama is a democrat, he'd win in the case of a tie.

I think people are starting to build up a resistance to Hopium. When they don't get as much Hopium as they got the day before they go into withdrawal and Chicken Little syndrome starts.

Hopium is a helluva drug.

I can't believe normally rational, reasonable people who actually understand rudimentary regional politics think that PA is not a lock for Obama. I'm glad I've been out doing GOTV, it means less time dealing with the concern trolling and chicken littles on this thread.

You know...

In the 30s and 40s, it was the evil Nazis that were gonna take over the world and destroy America.

In the 50s - 80s it was them evil communists.

Today it's the terrorists.

And it seems, with every passing generation, the threat becomes smaller and less harmful, but yet they are propped up to be bigger and badder than ever before. Welcome to fearmongering 101.

Early voting in NC and GA, the scale of it and the breakdown of the demographics are making it look like a very real struggle for McCain to win those states. He's needing >90% of the white vote in GA assuming AA represent 28% of the electorate all said and done.

Question on NC, how would the white voters split? 35% to Obama is reasonable, or would it be less than that?

Bush spent a lot of time and money on PA four years ago, and he still lost. Obama is simply a better candidate than Kerry, running in a more favorable overall climate than Kerry did, and with a major ground game and enthusiasm gap in his favor that Kerry didn't have. I would be genuinely shocked (and appalled) if any Kerry state flips.

YES. Obama to win PA and Ohio. The Konex of PoliGAF returns to deliver this election on a silver platter to Obama.

FUCKYEAH

I like PD, but he's been beating the "Pennsylvania OMGZ" drum since the primaries.

reilo: Actually, I think Cheebs is the Konex of PoliGAF

Yeah, it feels like Obama has already won Georgia, just going by the maths of the situation.
