I want Abraham Lincoln to win as well (1859). Do you think he'll take South Carolina? He's a Republican, so he should be able to do it.
Abe Lincoln is dead, Dax. John Wilkes Booth shot him. With a gun.

PD, seriously.

Not only is Obama polling 50%+ in PA [average is at 51.5% right now], but the tipping point is so large to overcome for McCain that it would require a megaton meltdown of epic proportions [an, epicmegadown?] for him to lose PA.

TDG said:
I really have to question how anyone could think that PA will go to McCain.

It's basically people who only look at the poll numbers (which have actually tightened somewhat), and ignore little things like history, the aforementioned Obama advantages, and the complete absence of news events or demographic shifts that could conceivably move a state like PA into the McCain column.

bAD NEWS FOR OBAMA

old white racist women who were once nurses breaking for mccain according to mason-dixon!!!

I mean, it would be one thing if, like with OH and FL, the polls were constantly bouncing between a McCain and Obama lead, but Pennsylvania has consistantly looked like a big win for Obama. Sure, the polls are tightening. Duh. This is what happens before every election. But the chances of it going red are almost non-existant.

Hey guys, do you think that McCain is going to be able to win in California and Connecticut? I hear Rick Davis is targeting them pretty aggressively.

If he takes Colorado and Virginia, he doesn't need either of those.

err? yeah he does. if he takes CO + NM + IO + PA, he wins. If he loses PA and wins VA< he loses. The only way he can loses PA and still win is to win VA

lol, some obama gotv just came to my place in VA. kinda cool

i'm more worried about the mountain south west, with McCain's home state of Arizona touching so many other states, and his strength and momentum with the Hispanic population, his numbers are starting to really knock Obama while he's down in places like Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and even, as you mentioned Southern California. Keep an eye out for turnout in the lower 5th of California, it will be sky high and current internal polls show it moving strongly into the McCain camp, making even California a possible election night surprise.

Somebody on the Hannity board was saying that "internal polling" from McCain's campaign had them only down 4 in California, so it could be close! :lol

Chris Matthews: Let’s bring in Pat Buchanan for a moment. Pat, what do you think Barack Obama can do to help win over some of these racist voters?

Pat Buchanan: Well, I think no matter what he does, Chris, he’s going to have a tough time. Remember, not only is he black, but he’s also MARRIED to a black woman, and that’s still very taboo in certain sections of the country.

Chris Matthews: You’ve met plenty of racists on the campaign trail, Pat. You’re even one yourself. What do you think racists would like to see out of Obama?

Pat Buchanan: I think they’d like to see him get tougher with blacks. You know, for racist voters, the #1 issue in this campaign will be RACE. So Obama’s not gonna get away with simply paying lip service to these people. He’s gonna have to go all out. Renouncing this… what was his name? Wright? Renouncing that Wright fellow isn’t going to be enough. I think what he’s going to have to do is renounce his blackness.

Chris Matthews: Will it be easy for him to make a clean break with being black?

Pat Buchanan: No, I don’t think it will be, because he’s black. But I think he can take steps to distance himself from that fact. Perhaps if he wore brighter pancake makeup. Or if he were to announce that he was openly afraid of black people, as so many of these people are. I think that might go a long way to bridging the gap.

Tim Russert: I’ll tell you one other thing he can do, Chris. He can hang out in the tailgate lot this fall with lots of racist NFL fans. Like the ones in Foxboro, and Jacksonville, and Washington, and Philly, and Baltimore, and Dallas, and Houston, and Charlotte, and New Orleans, and New York, and Cincinnati. Lot of racist voters in Cincy. And let’s not forget about the NFC North. Those people in the upper Midwest are very polite, but that doesn’t mean the idea of a black President doesn’t make them want to throw up their knockwurst. And, frankly, if you’ve ever heard the PA announcer at Detroit Piston games, you kind of understand why.

Definitely California.

California is a lock for McCain, ever since San Francisco slid into the ocean yesterday, all the hispanics were deported last week, and Hollywood was nuked.

It was fun while it lasted, guys!

New, highly credible GOP internal polls leaked!

Some idiot wingnut blogger said:
The polling is focused on 15 to 20 states. The polling shows "undecideds breaking for McCain by 4 to 1.

* New Jersey: McCain leads 48 to 43, with 7% undecided.
* Michigan: McCain leads 44 to 42, with 10% undecided.
* California: Obama leads 44 to 43, with 9/% undecided, 3% for Barr.
* Pennsylvania: McCain leads 55 to 33, with 10% undecided. In Pennsylvania Obama only leads among Democrats by 47 to 37, with 14% undecided.

The two reasons Democrats are citing for voting for McCain are because Obama is "cheating" and "attempting to buy the election."

Wow, they need to fire that polling agency, stat. :lol

I'm counting him winning NV.

Kerry states - PA + IO + CO + NM + NV + VA = 270

I just didn't think it was really necessary to mention IO, NM, or NV. Since, you know, he's going to win those.

Enough of McCain winning Cali... That's not going to go happen. If so. Damn...

Let's all hope for PA, OH, VA, and FL to go Obama so we can all rest and celebrate!

I would move to Oregon if that happens...

He might also win when the Vogons come and threaten to blast the Earth out of existence in order to make way for a hyperspace highway, but the probably of me becomeing a billionaire is more likely than either of those.

what?! 20+ lead for mccain in PA ?? :lol down 1 point in CA .. leading in NJ ? :lol:lol:lol

In a way the NJ number is more outrageous then California's :lol

Someone should let their polling outfit know they have to poll people other then republicans

According to the latest reports from Dick Morris, McCain is closing fast on Obama's leads in Vermont, Hawaii, and Oklahoma, but Obama is staging a dramatic come from behind performance in Tennessee and New York.

THIS IS ANYBODY'S GAME FOLKS.

Now, now. They're polling Republicans and PUMA members.
