[Excess Poo Flakes]

My friend Dan (the man) called me one night and asked me to help him hang Bush Cheney signs around Phoenix. This was before the 2004 election. I thought, "hey, might be fun, and there will be free snacks at the GOP Headquarters." Anyway, we went around sign hanging. Some people honked and gave us thumbs up, other people honked and gave us the bird.

At one particularly big intersection, we were putting one of the giant posters up on a railing. Anyway, some college kids who were drinking beer while driving pulled up and parked on the wrong side of the road and shouted, "Hey you guys are ruining the country." Being a libertarian, I wasn't in total disagreement, but I thought the confrontation would end there. However, Dan did not agree. He replied, "Well, that's not what your MOM said last night, she was shouting more bush more bush!" Leave it to him to make the most childish retort in history.

Anyway, both dudes got out of the car (still parked on the wrong side of the road, but it was 11 at night so not much traffic) and got in Dan's face. Eventually, they left. I was ready to jump in and help Dan out if they attacked, but damn if I didn't want to kick his ass too for saying something so damn stupid.

I would have honked because I was about to run you over.

The only one political confrontation I got in is when I altered an Army sign in our dorm laundry room. Youn know the slogan, "Accelerate your life"? Under it, I put "...toward death."

My friend has a photography class, and he thought it would be a good shot for him. So, a couple of weeks after that, he's showing his pictures to all of our friends. He comes across the one with sign that I put the message under.

"Who did that?" my friend asks, half-laughing and half angry. I told her that I did it...

She went on some kind of rant over her relatives being in the military and all of this other bullshit, but I decided that since it was personal to her, I didn't fire back (even though I could have brought the fucking house down with what I WANTED to say )

We're still friends, BTW.

i hate college liberals so much... especially cuz they give ones like me a bad name. for the most part they're all a bunch of ignorant fucks who are liberal strictly because it's a fad, without ever having questioned their beliefs. ughh... they piss me off.

though a big :lol to the "I was about to jump in and help" kinda thing. always good to have friends like that.
