Bruce Banner was recast. Rhodey was recast. Hell, they even redesigned Thanos.

Not recasting T'Challa does a disservice to an actor who can step in and pick up the mantle. Just do a good job at casting and people won't care. We all know Chadwick died.

I haven't read the thread, but hasn't anyone suggested that they just make the lady that plays his sister be Panther?
To me, it makes sense story wise, and in real life.
Just say he died and she decided she could do it. Girl power man.

I personally don't care that they are not recasting him. I'm really curious what the sequel will be and really curious how they will retcon the heart flower.

Outside of the final fight, Black Panther is easily a top tier comic book film.

Would've been cool to see the Black Panther/Storm partnership play out now that Marvel has X-Men again but they'll prob just have a 'spiritual successor' go through all TChallas major plot points. Hard NO to Shuri taking over as BP.

I like the idea of multiple black panthers, you could have shuri, okoye, and mbaku all with different strengths. M'baku would be the tanky brawler while shuri would focus on tech and gadgets, okoye would be the agile more traditional "t'challa esque" panther.

Okay option - replace him with a previously unknown relative (it's comics, may as well go full soap opera)
Funniest option - deepfake his face on someone else for a movie full of uncomfortable uncanny valley

Black panther is the dynastic king of Wakanda Right ?
So technically they can take any actor that was in the movies and make them Black Panther.

They can keep the character and not recast Tchalla.
