Where do you play your games? Playstation? Xbox? Switch? PC? All of the above?

I'm not trying to stir console wars here, just to get some up-to-date stats on where GAF plays. I took a similar poll back in 2018 (linked below). That was 6 years ago. I figured it was time to get some updated stats.

I could've subdivided the categories further (e.g., PS4 vs. 5, Xbox X vs. S), but that would've multiplied the permutations too much. I also excluded smartphone gaming from this analysis. If you want to complain about the poll options, go do your own damn poll, lol.

edits/clarifications
I
f you play on last gen Xbox X rather than current gen Xbox Series X or S, please use the "Xbox X/S" option.

If you wonder what timeframe to use, I didn't have a specific cutoff in mind. I'm just referring to your current or recent gaming habits. If you want a timeframe, though, say the past 6 to 12 months.

If you mostly play one system but barely play another, I'll leave it to you whether you want to include the second one.

I used to have everything available stuffed under my TV. But times have changed and I've consolidated everything to a PC and a Switch Dock.
I might get a PS5PRO for anything that Sony refuses to release on PC. Like the new Astrobot.

edit-Hey I also have a Quest 3. It gets played, I swear.

Switch for Nintendo games.
PC for everything else.

Used to play on Xbox Series X and PS5 in the living room but PC ports becoming a norm changed things for me. I finally built a PC specifically for the living room which is my AAA game console now. Expensive but awesome.

Can i ask what pc you built for the livingroom? I have one now in my office but i’m consider getting a smaller for my livingroom.

I'm all of them, in the following order of preference:

PC
Xbox Series X (these two have swapped places a few times recently, but I just built a new gaming PC)
PS5
Switch

Yeah it’s a Thermaltake Tower 300, all white parts, with 7800X3D, Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420, 4080 Super, Samsung 990 Pro m.2
Swapped out the thermaltake case fans to extremely quiet Noctua PWM fans.

It’s certainly not a case you can hide, I call it an aquarium heh
Super satisfied though.

Which noctua model did you decide on in the end?

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
PC, Steam Deck, Wii, PS2 and N64.

Sometimes N2DS and Vita, but haven't in a while.

Voted PS and PC but recent announcements made it so I’m slowly clearing my backlog to try and move fully to PC.

I have a switch, but haven’t turned it on for almost 2 years.

NF A12x25, 2 at the top chimney design blowing out heat.
I got a 140mm Arctic fan too that was supposed to be at the bottom, same design as on the cooler, thought that would be cool, no pun intended. But I had to remove the ”floor” above the PSU where it would be mounted… The cooler radiator was too thick, the idea fell on like 3mm grrr.
But it seems to work without it, I’ve had to tweak some fan curves, it now manage to keep quiet almost all the time, unless I bench it. ….or go into the menu in No Rest for the Wicked…….???

Xbox only, I don't have time for multiple platforms, I don't dislike any of them, that's just how I balance work, family, friends and hobby.

Steam deck was such a game changer for me. Getting a free handheld version of everything with seamless cloud saves from my desktop makes me not want to buy anything anywhere else, so I don’t. I own a ps5 but haven’t used it much.

Switch 2 is a day 1 tho.

This poll reminds me that I wish Nintendo released their games on PC. Sucks that the laggard in hardware performance is the only one not releasing on PC.

I own every platform but I only play exclusives on Switch and Xbox. 90% of playtime is PS5/PC and that 90% is probably skewed 60/40 right now in favor of PS just based off of what I’m playing.

Boo and I the only gangstas on this forum.

Switch Oled, I do play a little bit of Clash of Clans on mobile and I’ll be getting the TGC pocket game there too when it launches,

I was mainly on PS5 for about a decade but last year PC became my main platform (desktop, laptop, Steam Deck OLED). I traded in my Xbox. I barely use my PS5 now.

So I would say PC and Switch.

Mostly Playstation, Switch, and many legacy consoles. I do play on PC from time to time so I checked the box with all three. Haven't messed with Microsoft since the 360 (which I loved).
