What gaming stuff do you bring with you while traveling / on vacation?

Usually a modern handheld. I brought my Steam Deck on multiple trips around the world but only really play during long journeys like 12+ hour flights.

Nothing. I do love gaming, but I want to enjoy my vacation especially the view and have a bonding time with my family or friends. But I do have my mobile phone with me to check on gaf from time to time😁
 
I'll take my switch 2 + an external battery in the plane next month.
I'll play maybe a Little during the night at the hotel. My wife sleeps more than me 😂.

Yep, usually there is some downtime on plains, trains or after kids are asleep. I am not going to drag a laptop, but having a handheld of some sort is perfect.
 
I used to bring my 3DS everywhere, but now I bring a battery bank for my iPhone.
I got the largest Anker that airlines will allow. (I forget the capacity)
 
ROG Ally X and a Miyoo Mini Plus+. That covers any and all bases that I would care about on a vacation trip.

Having said that, I probably would only game when lying in bed at the hotel at night, and even then, I'd probably be too worn out to play for very long.
 
Steam Deck usually, just because I have my Steam/GoG/Epic/Amazon libraries + emulation, so it covers pretty much everything. Switch OLED sometimes if I have something in my backlog that doesn't emulate well on my Deck.

Never play games on my phone, I'd rather just use it for music, web browsing or manga.
 
I take my Legion Go but I may use it for movies or basic web browsing as well as gaming. Its mostly for killing time in the airport and/or on the plane though.
 
Always bring my Switch and a portable dock. The number of times that's come in clutch for some quick Mario Kart with friends/family is too many to count.

Then I also bring my Analogue Pocket with me for retro on-the-go.
 
Cheap little Miyoo Mini Plus (awesome d-pad). Just something to play a bit of Master System or Mega Drive for ten minutes if I'm struggling to sleep in a shitty bed that's not my own.

I have a Deck, but I can't play big games on a small handheld. It doesn't work for me. I need a TV and a real controller.
They're good for when in a pinch though.

Never ever considered about investing in a portable device, until the time I saw someone playing with their Steam Deck on the plane, and I thought hmmmm...what could I go for? In the end I settled for a PS Vita... it's still got it even after all these years....
 
I usually just install Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and Tiberian Sun on my personal laptop. But almost never end up playing these. I usually end up walking around, eating local stuff and just be out and about.

My PS-Vita and N3DS-LL are almost always in my travel bag.
Being a frequent business flyer, I think I use my Vita the most. PS1/PSP jrpgs are the best when it comes to long flights, doesn't hurt when it can run CPS1/CPS2/Mame at full speed as well.

I have the Switch and other PC Handhelds as well, but they are too big for travelling really.
 
Definitely the MSI Claw 8 AI+

Switch 2 only if there's a Nintnedo exclusive at the same time as the vacation(if some third party joy cons with good grip is coming out). Can't stand playing it in handheld mode for longer sessions, due to the terrible grip.
 
I used to bring the DS or the Vita on long trips, especially when a plane is involved. Now, with the wife and three kids involved, I just bring a few books. That's just for the plane and nights at the hotel when everything has slowed down.
 
Nothing. I'm going on vacation and won't be gaming. The most gaming I will do on vacation is a daily word search puzzle on my phone. It takes less than a minute.
 
When I travel for work I usually take a Switch or my Steam Deck to give myself something to do if I don't feel like going out after work. But since I expense the food and beverage when I go out I usually do that.

When I go on vacation I usually have a Switch to play some in my downtime. Some people treat vacation like a job. I like to use it for real downtime.

It depends on the vacation but I typically bring my phone (of course), a work laptop (that usually stays packed away), and a handheld of some kind to pass time while in transit.
