Polygon PS4 12 hour discussion stream

I'm not completely sure why The Verge is even doing this stream. Ross and David have shown multiple times they just aren't that knowledgeable when it comes to videogames.

Like said, these are Verge guys. They probably not know much about infamous. Titanfall is easy to remember for non-gaming press due to the massive marketing push behind it.

Verge mostly covers...I don't know, I don't go there, but not games so much, that's supposed to be Polygon's area. Which is what they basically said during that question. They evidently don't know a lot about when what games are coming out where, and as far as I know they don't have to. Suppose they're on the stream for technical stuffs.

So you know, let's not go crazy with the outraged calling out's.

You're doing a video game stream about a particular console and you don't know about arguably the biggest announced exclusive for it coming less than 6 months after it launches?

If this is the case, you shouldn't be on the stream at all.

Agreed. Polygon has been plenty positive and negative about a variety of things. That's the kind of coverage I want.
 
The NFS game looks like it's under 30FPS, is it the motion blur? I guess it could be the stream.

PS4 by the way, not over remote play lol.
 
The true horror in all this for me so far has been Livestream.com's atrocious streaming. Can't consistently push 270p even. Is there really that many people watching this?

But, again, is infamous really going to be that game? Don't get me wrong, it could certainly turn out to be, but what reason do we have to believe it'll make a bigger impact than the first two?

What exactly make Titanfall next gen? That it uses power of the cloudz? How is that game considered next gen when it's going to be on the 360? I somehow doubt the experience is going to be THAT much different on the xbone.

Oh, but being negative about everything is totally fine? Look, I and many others KNOW there are negatives about the PS4, and have no problem admitting it. The problem is that we also know there are MANY, MANY positives, and it is annoying to only hear about the bad things, or to have every positive have a caveat.

I mean, you think lines like "Microsoft is the only one announcing new IPs", "PS4 has no AAA exclusives at launch" and "Killzone will likely be free with Plus in a couple of months" are fine?

Actually they don't. They're just playing games and checking out features and saying oh that's cool, or eh, yeah I don't like this.

Obviously we're not going to agree, but I guess there's not much else to say except outside of Justin McElroy, I dislike Polygon's general attitude towards gamers. Anyway glad they're filling that niche for you though, makes me think they do have a dedicated audience.

It may not. And imo, it won't be (compared to Titanfall)

That's not the point.

The point is that if you're talking about a product that have announced about an exclusive line-up of approximately 15 games going into next year, and you're putting yourself in a position where you're well-respected as an tech influencer and receiving questions... you need to know your stuff.

Not "eh, I'm not very excited for anything else other than Titanfall."
That's your opinion, but you're not informing the questioner about his real question.
