Yeah this is why I don't think the 12 is gonna work. A whole two female characters is a bad look too. With just a few more slots they can use gamora and add some villains

Thats the thing I'm hoping its more then 24 atleast close to the original MVC 3. With the assist characters i would be fine with the likes of young avengers showing up and other small known characters. but 24 would be upsetting because like you posted most villains and main characters would be left out, not even enough for a obscure character.

Don't worry, literally one person posted "I hope it's not a 3D fighter" and that somehow escalated into "3D FIGHTER CONFIRMED". That been happening in this thread a lot; it's pretty entertaining actually, lol
I guess 2v2+1 assist would be okay, but I still wish the game is 3v3. I never really expected the X-Men to be back even if I preferred that they'd stay there, but I'm gonna be real sad about the lack of Doom.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is actually what got me into Marvel and comic books as a whole, so it'll always hold a special place in my heart. Hopefully this new one can do it justice.

Starting to feel like people are just making up stuff now. I find it hard to believe that so many people were aware of this project and every little thing about it and just happened to come out of nowhere when a few people in that rumors thread on here spoke up about MvC4. Other than this game existing, and Ant-Man/Groot, I'm not entertaining anything else and will let Capcom show it off.

I imagine Disney if fronting the bill for the voice actors.

My point is not to expect those characters specifically, but to show how difficult it could be to even appease MCU film fans alone with a roster that's theoretically that small. I think people are in for a rude awakening character-wise whether it's 12 per side or even slightly more.
Nailed it. I'm thankful this even exists, no matter the format it takes. So long as it actually plays similar to the others in a few respects. Or at least it is a platform that can grow over time with DLC.

I heard that 3 of the capcom roster will be used to push the new Dino Crisis reboot. Regina and Rick will be mains with gail as an assist.

I like 2D and 3D fighters alike, but it would be weird to make a MvC game to be an arena fighter given how it has been since the first one came out.

I think my initial excitement has cooled enough to reign it in on getting into any further rumors. Too many too fast lol.
At this point I'll see what Iron Galaxy has to stream and say and then I'll wait till everything this weekend is over to find out just what else is happening if anything. Still excited but I think I'm done listening to anything unsubstantiated by major media or images.

Nothing wrong with a small starting roster as long as the balance is there and the characters have unique movesets.

Having this only on Sony and presumably PC is a big disappointment. I have a lot of friends on XOne's that simply expect to be able to play the next iteration. I'm surprised Disney/Marvel would let such a thing happen.
I really don't think Iron Galaxy is going to give any hints or reveals on their stream. IF they are working on something, anything official is going to come from Capcom. They're going to be real careful not to address the rumors, and just play the game as if nothing is going on, while the stream chat goes bonkers and they ignore it all.
