I'm thinking hints today and a remaster either at the TGAs or PSX alongside Marvel vs. Capcom 0: New Age of Heroes.
Check for button prompts.Watch IG "accidentally" hit the ps button during a stream of 3 showing the ps4's dash.
Having this only on Sony and presumably PC is a big disappointment. I have a lot of friends on XOne's that simply expect to be able to play the next iteration. I'm surprised Disney/Marvel would let such a thing happen.

They let Spider-man be a PS4 exclusive, and Disney has been very much pro-Sony, both in and out of games. Their relationship is long and storied.
As for Capcom fighters on Xbox One, there hasn't been one all generation and most fighting games from Japan don't even release on Xbox in general. At this point, if anyone is truly surprised and disappointed, it's their own fault; writing has been on the wall for awhile now.
3d arena fighter would be awesome. Mainly because the tech/engine and animations could be used for future adventure/ marvel brawlers. Which would be great. I was down due to lack of x-men, but this would be different enough to regain my interest. Ive always hoped for a we could get something that gave us a more accurate representation of how these characters would actually move about in a fight.
Plus it makes 2v2 format make a bit more sense. I need a 4 player mode.
If its actually 3d gameplay. im hoping they can pull a good mesh of the movements and camera angles we get in thr naruto storm games, with some innovative fight mechanics that help thr combos look like they do in VS games (air combos and all)
ArcSys ain't coming back to XB when they canned it last gen on the 360 (presumably due to low sales.)Strictly speaking, I believe that Capcom have only released one fighter all generation (SFV). Hardly enough of a sample size to suggest others should have expected nothing in the future. Especially given their very consistent support on the X360 with a great number of franchises including all of their fighting games. There was no real reason before now to believe anything other than SFV would be exclusive as it appeared to be a special situation.
Further, I see BlazBlue available for XOne and Tekken 7 coming as well. I really only see KoF and GG absent as far as significant Japanese fighting game franchises go. Noted absences for the audiences who play them, but certainly not anything that would lead anyone to conclude that something like MAAAHVEL wouldn't be on the XOne.
this fucking arena 3d fighter shit lmao
Marvel Vs. Power Stone

Or we can just get Marvel Nemesis 2.
Blade as DLC plz
dunno if they're live but here's their twitch pageAnyone got a link to the iron galaxy stream?
Getting a PS4 soon so I'm really excited to play this. That said I do wish this was a marvel only game, instead of MVC4.

The situation that led to SFV even releasing, however, still holds true here - Capcom couldn't fund SFV, and if some of the earlier reports are indeed true, they aren't funding this Vs. Game either; Sony is. The only things we have seen Capcom be willing to throw their own funding behind this generation has been mobile games, monster hunter, remasters, and Resident Evil. Capcom hasn't been funding development of Dead Rising titles either, letting MS foot the bill on those. Any Sony fans expecting Dead Rising 4 to go multiplat after Dead Rising 3 should've considered themselves foolish; the same applies here.
At this point, for titles outside of Resident Evil, its safe to assume some partnership with a 1st party is going down when it comes to Capcom. Marvel doesn't necessarily preclude that in the slightest.
Newest blazblue isn't on XB1, no GG has been. KoF isn't.
Tekken is pretty much the only upcoming Japanese fighter that we know of coming to the console.
Some clarification
I'm no super duper insider, I was informed about those things I wrote about some days ago and thought to talk about them since a) the talk about this being a mobile game annoyed me (lol) and b) it kinda makes clearer what to expect from the new title (imo). I don't know much more than that, so please don't send me PMs about specific shit I have no clue about. Right after I dropped my tweet I was contacted by someone who had the same info as me from what I think is a very reliable source, so while I always recommend to everybody to take everything on the internet with a huge grain of salt, personally I believe most of the rumors discussed to be true.
I don't know about the dev behind it, I don't know anything about roster size, I don't know anything else besides what you guys already know
Some thoughts
I think you guys gotta stop seeing this as a Capcom title first and foremost and recognize that this is probably a push from Disney to get into the eSports business with the help of the MCU brand. The puzzle pieces are all there imo: they will announce a new MvC game that will be different from the previous ones and they will also announce a UMvC3 port for the fans. I still expect this to be a competent Capcom fighter and not a super-casual 'Marvel game'
Some speculation
This is all based on my personal thoughts.
I think the new MvC will be announced during PSX and not at Capcom Cup just like Street Fighter V. This is a too important game to not put on the big Sony stage. No clue where they would announce the UMvC3 port since that announcement would work anywhere during the weekend (gut feeling says Capcom Cup).
The focus on the MCU tells me that they want to get the MCU crowd which means they have to slightly simplify the gameplay. The 2v2 rumor therefore makes sense to me, though since Capcom is behind this I still expect a good competent fighter at its core. Other than that: no clue about gameplay, though I don't think this will be super-casual or a 3D arena fighter lol
This not having a 4 in its title makes sense; I think announcing this as a fourth game in an established series would confuse more people than it would help. Also, since they seemingly change a lot of the core stuff in the series, this might be a reboot or just a new take on the MvC idea that they want to separate from the 'old' games by changing its name.
While I believe the actor involvement rumor is true, I can't imagine them putting every MCU actor into this. But who knows? Crazier things have happened
I also wonder if they'll make this a service game kinda like SFV and release a first version which they'll enhance with DLC and shit
Some closing thoughts
I hope I could clarify some things for people; my intention was not to gain attention as an insider since I don't need to rely on that shit at all and am happy where I am on the internets. I just wanted the community to have more realistic expectations for this and for you guys to not expect the worst; I think this might be a neat project and if that doesn't work for you you'll get a port of one of the best beat'em'ups ever.
It's always possible that all of this this turns out to be bullshit and that I'll be stigmatized as Hydra scumbag, but people who know me here know that I usually don't share stuff like this in the public. If it's all wrong I'll take the L like a man, but personally I don't doubt most of this is true
Starting to look like this isn't exactly MvC4 either. #teamreboot

Word. and that's fine. It doesn't change the feeling that many former 360 now XOne-only players will have if the game doesn't come to the One. Which was the original point.

Yeah, that might be true, but at this point it's clear how this particular genre is trending.
Its not a 3d arena fighter
