There wasnt a feud then.

MCU wasn't what it is at that time. So they had no issue using the characters.

Note that Marvel still own the video game rights to all the characters, they just dont want to use them out of spite.

Disney happened. Comics are just a drop in the bucket and a dying medium. Movies/tv is where the money is. Disney doesn't care if the sales of X-men comics decrease (especially if the sales of others, like the Avengers and guardians of the Galaxy increase).
